The shuttle bus from the airport dropped me in front of the main entrance. The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. A good place to stay, a few minutes drive from the airport.

Totally disappointed in our two night stay here. This premise also goes under the name 'Auckland Airport Kiwi Hotel' and Auckland Airport Kiwi Backpackers', the Backpackers has now been turned into what is called 'Premier studio apartments'.'. When we arrived the lady at reception stated that she had only debited our card for the first night, we were to pay for our second night when checking out. Our 'Premier Studio Apartment' was clearly an ex backpacker room, our lawn view was 2 mtrs of unmown grass which looked straight into the rooms across from us. The room was clean enough but extremely under equipped. We had booked for 3 people, we had 2 towels, 2 facecloths, no hand towel, no tea towel or dish cloth. After the 3rd ask for these items we finally received two extra facecloths to be used as a tea towel and dishcloth, eww! The kitchen had 1 fork, 1 teaspoon, 3 knives and large spoons, 1 glass, no wine glasses. Odd cups and plates of various sizes. There was a microwave and hotplates but no other utensils at all besides the bits and pieces mentioned. No Ice tray. No coathangers. The bathroom light flickered constantly, there was rubbish under the beds, and on further inspection, the fire alarm did not contain a battery. (illegal) On checking out was told that our account had been settled. Inspection of bank account showed that our 2nd night had been deducted two hours after we had checked in and an extra $4.50 had been taken. Asked on their chat window (which is how we booked our stay due to no one answering the phone, ever) and was emailed back, them stating that this extra cost was due to paying by Visa. No mention of this throughout our booking or on their website. Would not stay here again.

All you need after a long day’s travelling. Quiet clean and relaxing. Staff couldn’t do enough to help, my room was super spacious and had good black out curtains witch was a must after travelling from the uk suffering with jet lag! Would recommend to anyone travelling to nz

Knights Inn fantastic service. We booked via Booking.com and when my husband showed to check inn the man advised that all of the rooms were booked out. So apologetic he ensured my husband had a place to stay, paid (cost more then the Knights Inn had) and drove him to the accommodation. Went above and beyond for a stranger, is appreciated more then he knows - Thank you!!

Jetstar is Qantas Airlines low cost airline and when I fly with Jetstar, I know that there are no meals, entertainment and leg room. Hence when I booked Parnell Pines early 2022 via the Qantas website, I was expecting Qantas branding. The hotel images paint a picture that is grossly different to reality. Parnell Pines is a cheap boarding house with ”day” bookings permissible. I walked into the foyer, which was unattended and was greeted by a message to ring the attendant. The women told me that she was on a break and had left my room key for me. As she spoke I cast my eyes around the foyer as I asked for instructions to the key location. Realising I'd missed that the key was in the room and that I hadn't heard what number the room was because she hadn't given them, she offered to meet me in the foyer. An amiable young Indian woman in a baggy tshirt and track pants greeted me warmly. Informing me that she had left the key in the room, she preceeded into the office to print off my booking for me to sign. She gave me instructions to get to my room and how to use the code on the key should I enter the premises at night when the front door was locked. She told me not to worry though, because the fire exit doors were open. Simple enough! Parnell PInes is 3 stories high and there are connecting stairs located near the foyer and in the rear, external to the building, the door of which was open. I love fresh air anyway. I took the internal stairs down and found the room. The room fitted a Queen room with small inbuilt closet, tiny ensuite with tiny shelf for toiletries, 2 small bedside tables and small bag stand. Nothing fancy! However, dust covered the skirting board and the desk handle, which triggered hayfever. Fortunately, I carry hayfever tablets. A jug sat on the long desk which housed tea and coffee supplies, which were disinviting to use. No fridge and I hadn't realised that there was a kitchen that guests had access too as I wasn't given that information. I read about the kitchen when I wrote a google review. I also read the reviews from former guests. One was good and the rest were warnings to avoid the place. Plaster walls enable the capacity to hear other guests ablutions and, other shenanigans. The pros? The bed was comfortable and as I stayed 2 days, the room was tidied.

Not the most vibrant, modern or nicest (looks wise) to stay BUT definitely did the job for what we needed the accommodation for. Appliances in working order, clean, tidy room and bathroom. We ordered dinner from the onsite restaurant the first night and our meals were absolutely delicious. Quiet and peaceful nights during our stay, you may have to fight for close carparking spots if you are the last in. Worth a mention would be located on a one-way street. Great location, friendly staff I would recommend this place to stay to others if not fussed about looks. One thing I would mention but not a big deal is that I would prefer a rubbish bin in the main room. not to share food waste and food rubbish with the bathroom bin, also the small table provided was broken but we were still happy to use it just to dine on :)

Arrived about 4pm to an empty bar where we were greeted by a young man, took a long time to get to our room as he stated he doesn't usually deal with bookings. After being given the key and told we were on the top floor up 3 flights of stairs which do not feel safe we opened the door to find a double bed barely capable of fitting in the room. I cant begin to describe how small the room was and falling apart much like the rest of the building. There is no air-conditioning and but a small fan incapable of cooling the room! The floor was dirty as were inside the bedside drawers, a bar fridge was located in the corner of the room on the floor and was on a lean as it appeared broken. Our package included a main and dessert , they were kind enough to swap the dessert for entree as neither of us eat sweets. The steak was cooked well but completely un-seasoned and Calamari was so thick it was chewy and the coating inedible! We left within 2hrs of arriving giving back our key stating we wouldn't be staying, the manager offered no resolve or apology and seemed not to care at the slightest. We ended up going home and getting takeaways, a much better way of spending our money. Reviews on here show the same generic replies, we don't offer air-con etc no apology whatsoever - stay clear
