Les Villas d'or

We had the perfect stay at Villas D'Or. If you are looking for privacy in a beachfront property which is close to the village, this is the place for you. Each villa is spacious, extremely clean and the kitchen has everything you need to make a meal. The rooms are spacious and nicely decorated. The garden is extremely well looked after by the staff and lots of beautiful birds came to visit in the morning which made my daughter so happy. The beach is steps away from each villa and you can easily walk to the village on low tide via the beach (about 15mins). In general if you want to explore the rest of the island I recommend hiring a car. The sea was affected by the northern wind during our stay so it was quite choppy but I am sure it is very pleasant when the wind calms down. It is impressive how nicely the property is camouflaged behind the bushes and therefore you can barely see the villas when you are at the seaside, very respectful of the environment and very harmonious. The village has super markets and restaurants (including local take aways). Mr Pierre is a wonderful person, he is always available to help with organising car rentals, taxis or excursions. He is contactable by WhatsApp and generally very accessible. Mrs Georgette has also been extremely kind and so have the rest of the staff. I wholeheartedly recommend and will definitely come back.

We loved this place!! I can't explain quite how relaxing it is. We were going to have 4 nights here but having seen the location, extended it to a full week - and we're so pleased we did. The villa was perfect with a big verandah with views down through the palms to the sea, cooking facilities including a fridge (beer for your afternoon sitting!), and a comfortable bedroom and bathroom. The staff are so welcoming and helpful, but also discrete - we didn't feel hurried to let them clean etc. We made use of all of the facilities including kayaks, bikes (crucial to get beer/snacks), books, the BBQ - honestly, it's brilliant. But most of all the location is just breathtaking. It's so peaceful and quiet (well it was for us) and just plain beautiful with the turquoise sea, white sands, palm trees... Amazing. Most local restaurants will come and collect you and deliver you back. Our favourite was Cafe des Arts, highly recommend you try them. And stay here!!

5 out of 5 isn't enough as a score! The staff and team were excellent, breakfast is always on time, the atmosphere is, well you are just in another world a small paradise of your own. The rooms were spacious and clean, homey. The beach was to die for, love that there were kayaks available for use. All in all, I can't wait to get back there!!!!

Peaceful complex of equipped villas with direct access to Côte d’Or beach, secluded feeling and a great hospitality. We got a family villa which is suitable for group of 4 people / 2 couples or families cause both bedrooms have private toilettes and a very large intimate space plus kitchen in the middle for everyone. Every villa features also a big terrace. Breakfast could be bigger but it was okay for us. There is a small pool for the guests and the opportunity to ride some bikes (free of charge) to reach the main village at the end of the street. The staff helped us to rent a car to explore the island and recommended us the best spots to visit. Very recommended 😊

Pierre's assistance during our trip to Praslin was exceptional. His thoughtful recommendations on local activities and dining options helped us make the most of our time on the island. Not only that, but Pierre went above and beyond by retrieving some books we had accidentally left behind on a boat trip to Curieuse and personally arranging for them to be delivered to us at the Mahe jetty. His dedication to ensuring our trip was as enjoyable as possible was truly impressive and greatly appreciated. We highly recommend Pierre's services to anyone visiting Praslin.

We spent one week at Les Villas d'Or in October 2022. Pierre and his team did an outstanding job to make our trip as pleasant and beautiful as possible. We enjoyed every minute at Les Villas d'Or and highly recommend staying there to everyone (couples and families) There are three things we would like to highlight: 1. We could not have wished for a better host and staff. Everyone is friendly, courteous, and helpful. Pierre did a brilliant job in answering all our questions and helping us get the most out of our seven day on Praslin. Dixon, a gardener, was always keen to open coconuts for us :) 2. The facility and the buildings are very clean and the garden spacious and beautifully maintained. 3. Les Villas d'Or are located directly next to the beach and a public bus station. It is a good spot to start exploring the island.
