I cannot express enough gratitude for the incredible hospitality Jason showed me during my stay. This wasn’t just a place to sleep; it was a place where I felt genuinely cared for. Jason went above and beyond in every way possible. He was kind enough to store my luggage for ten days and even allowed me an early check-in on the morning I arrived. When my flight schedule changed and I had to cancel one night, he was incredibly understanding and helped me through the process—even letting me check out late so I could head straight to the airport. The facilities were top-notch: a steady supply of ramen available anytime, an excellent washer and dryer with free detergent provided—small details that made a huge difference for a traveler. The highlight of my trip was staying in the room next to Jason. He treated me like a dear friend, inviting me to share meals every time he cooked and even treating me to fine Chinese liquor. We shared so many great conversations. I hope future guests understand that such kindness is a reflection of Jason’s wonderful character, not something to be taken for granted. I am writing this in hopes that people who will cherish this place and appreciate his warmth as much as I did will find their way here. “Thank you, Jason, for being the best host I’ve ever met.“

I was initially apprehensive about staying in an ”old” hotel, but my worries came to rest. It was similar to a cottage theme with very clean rooms and adequate amentities. Staff were always very friendly, greeting us everytime we leave and return to the hotel, and responds promptly to our housekeeping requests. 10 minutes from the hotel, there is a park with a calming stream, a great place to rest and rewind from the busy city life. Nearest train station is just 5 minutes walk away, and a 30-45 minutes car ride to downtown. Some downsides though, there are no nearby restaurants besides the one in the hotel, and no nearby supermarkets. Utensils were not provided in the room so be prepared to bring your own set. Hotel lifts seem a bit worn out but had not broken down during my stay. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay given the calm surrounding vibes and amazing service. I would consider returning in the future

The hotel is ideally situated of the front of the lake with the ferries to the islands just outside. An underground stop is just across the road with links to Union station and elsewhere. There are also a selection of buses that pass and a hop on hop off stop is about 10 mins walk. You can walk most places in central Toronto from hotel if you wish and are happy walking. You can choose which street suits you best on your walk and change route for variation as only a block apart and will all get you to central Toronto. You are maybe about 15 mins from the Blue Jays and CN tower so hotel is in a great location. Billy Bishop airport is about a 20 min walk and would be convenient if you can get flights to or from there to your destination. The communal areas in the hotel look very nice, as is the entrance if being dropped off by car. However there is work going on around the outside of the hotel and if walking to and from the hotel it isn’t so pleasant on the eye. My bedroom was spacious but felt dated and would be nice to see a more updated look. However the view onto the lake more than made up for that minor irritation. The staff were all great and helpful when asked. There was various things going on from regular activities in the leisure area to free ice cream and wine ( not together unfortunately ) and music in the afternoon. The leisure facilities were great with a pool, sauna, steam room and gym as well as an outside area (5th floor) for sitting outside while the kids could play. There was a tennis court and a basket ball hoop. There was also an oppertunity to use cycles and go for a run possibly with a guide. We didn’t eat at the hotel so couldn’t comment but the did have a restaurant on the top of there south tower that would give great views. We did grab a coffee and snack from across the street and would enjoy sitting on the benches just along from the hotel looking into the lake in the morning. All in all one of the older hotels ( I think) in a great location with great views and facilities which met our needs.

We stayed here during World Cup, the hotel location is supreme, can walk to a lot of places downtown if you want to but talking the subway/train/streetcar is also very convenient. The UP express to airport is only 5min away. We literally picked up our luggage at 9:25 and able to catch the 9:30 UP express. We stayed at an older wing. But really can’t complain about it because the location. (Only thing was, there was a spider in the bathroom 2 days in a row, we just send it to the hallway. )

Great: 1. Unbeatable location. That stretch of Bloor St W has restaurants, coffee shops, used bookstores (my favorite!), and more. Subway station, streetcars, and a Bike Share Toronto hub just around the corner. Christie Pits park nearby. Incredibly walkable. 2. Clean room and useful amenities. Love that slippers were available from the amenities closet. (Slippers seem to be common in hotels in Asia, so I was delighted to find them here.) 2. Responsive customer service. My room had a small issue (intermittent loud buzzing sound of mysterious origin in the night). When I raised this with the Nomas WhatsApp number, Umesh was responsive and offered to move me into a different room. Thankfully the sound eventually vanished after a couple nights! I have no opinion on: 1. Bellis. I didn't eat at the Bellis bar (mainly because I wanted to check out the other offerings nearby). 2. Lockers. I didn't try the lockers, but they looked useful. I saw someone describe this hotel along the lines of ”it's a bar with hallways and rooms.” Isn't that what all hotels are, ultimately? Could be better: 1. My room was near the washrooms for the bar. At night, shrieky bar customers would congregate near the washrooms to chat. Had to get up to shut the soundproofing hallway door a couple of times. Not too big of a deal because the soundproofing is effective. I'd definitely stay here again!

I had an excellent stay at this hotel. The staff were incredibly welcoming and always ready to help. My room was spotless, comfortable, and had everything I needed. The location was convenient, and the facilities were well maintained. The service exceeded my expectations, and I would definitely stay here again. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay

Superb service at the reception. Housekeeping is very on point. Smooth check in process and my 5 nights stay - all good experience only. Special shoutout to the bellman - Endaries who was super helpful throughout my entire stay. He not only recommend a great Niagara tour, but also helped with recommendations of food around the hotel, my luggages and also the pick up transport. Excellent service. The only downside was the ongoing construction in front of the hotel. So all car drop off or pick up is at the back of hotel (wood street). But that’s fine. Not a big issue. Can’t hear construction from the room either.

Stayed here recently and overall had a decent experience. The AC worked really well, which made the stay comfortable. The room itself was a bit on the small side even though it had a king-size bed, so there wasn’t much extra space to move around. I was a little disappointed that the room didn’t include slippers or a kettle, which I honestly expected. I did ask reception for hot water on one of the days though, and they were kind enough to provide me with a small cup, so service was appreciated. Breakfast was okay with a decent variety and a good range overall, although it was almost the same the next day and the fruit selection was slightly less impressive. Still, it was satisfactory for a short stay but needed a few improvements.

The hotel offers shuttle bus from and going to airport, accesibility of the distance to Pearson airport, always clean and complete toiletries, counter check in staffs were courteous and accomodating, housekeeping staffs were polite and helpful always
