Very good hotel - nice view to see the downtown. Breakfast was great. The only thing is it’s abt 10-15 mins walk to downtown- downhill to downtown and uphill walking back to the hotel.

What a lovely hotel. So clean with accommodating restaurant staff. Our room was spacious and clean and had the most amazing view. The bed was a little small and our radiator was stuck on despite it being a heatwave. We did make staff know but we’re told it wasn’t on…. It truly was!

Overall, our trip was just perfect. The hotel is in an excellent location with ample parking. At only £15 per 24 hours, we found this great value. The hotel is on a hill, but the buses run frequently directly outside the hotel. Our room was large and clean with everything you could need. The breakfast was fantastic and so much choice. It certainly set us up for the day. The staff are friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay again.

It’s a little bit far from the city center, and without a car you have to walk uphill. Also, there was some renovation work going on at the hotel in early March, so we were woken up by the noise. But the overall experience is great, very clean, the staff were very helpful. The library and lounge were cozy and lovely.

I have stayed in 100s of Hotels. I now try to avoid the chrome & glass gin palace type. I use budget hotels for a one night stay. However this was a 5 day break to celebrate my partners 60th birthday. The Hotel was wonderful, historic building but maintained well. Lovely staff who made us feel very welcome. A lovely cooked to order breakfast and the evening meal was cooked to perfection and our waiting staff were better than most restaurants. The room was perfect, cleaned when we required and the location is perfect. There is a bus to town every 15mins which is just 3 stops away. If you are visiting Bath this is the best hotel to stay in.

Great stay. 15 minute scenic walk into city. Ability to park easily. Staff excellent; attentive , helpful. Hotel provided a relaxing, quiet and comfortable experience. Breakfast excellent. Would recommend.

Clean and comfortable room. Charge a little too much for parking £15/night

Arrived at the hotel on a very hot day, June 25, 2026 (35°C). The hotel had no air conditioning, and the room on the third floor was unbearable, like an oven. I was sweating just sitting still and couldn't stay in the room. Even with two fans, it didn't help. Eventually, we moved to the second floor, which was a completely different experience. The room was larger and much cooler – a welcome relief. The hotel did address our issue, and the location and service were good. However, without air conditioning, the third floor is simply unlivable in hot weather; I wouldn't recommend staying there during the summer. Other facilities were okay, though there were some flying insects in the room, which was unavoidable. It would be much better to stay here in winter. The hotel is a 15-minute walk to the city center, and parking costs £15.

The hotel environment is beautiful, located 15 minutes from the city center and 25 minutes from the train station. The room is well-equipped and tidy, with complete toiletries. Overall, it's highly recommended, but be aware that there's no air conditioning, and during the recent heatwave, the room was very hot.

Easy to find. Easy and smooth check in process. Lovely decor. Lift to all floors. Large rooms. Tea and coffee facilities in the room. Hairdryer and iron available. Great view over looking the city. Fab breakfast. Lovely staff. Only complaint was the shower wasn't as powerful as we would of liked and the floorboards were very creaky so we could hear the people above at night and also when they ran their taps. £15 per night to park our vehicle. Fast and effective check out. Very knowledgeable and helpful staff.

Best hotel in Bath. Very beautiful hotel and the room is so comfortable and have all required amenities. Big room, big bathroom, strong water pressure and hot water is working well. A lot of plug point and got a fridge as well. This hotel have an elevator. The downside is on the parking area where guest isrequired to pay for 15£. But they have free parking on the side street that is free from 7pm to 8am in the morning. We had a pleasant stay here and will come back later.

lovely hotel, food is great, price tag is reasonable. It would be even better if breakfast can start from 6am or 6:30am.

Location wise - a bit far from city of Bath but otherwise walkable if you do not mind the hilly walk! Otherwise, place is clean and comfortable.

The room was quite old, but the worst part was the noise. You could hear absolutely everything from the room above — footsteps, creaking wooden floors, people showering, talking, and even people walking past the room. There was almost no soundproofing or privacy at all. The cleanliness was also disappointing, especially the carpet which had many stains and looked very dirty. The bathroom water pressure was weak and the drainage was very slow. Even the kettle still had water left inside when we arrived. Another major issue was the access to the room. It was very difficult to find and involved stairs everywhere. Our room was tucked away in a corner and required going up and down several flights of stairs, which would be extremely inconvenient for anyone with large luggage, elderly guests, or disabled people. The pillows were also very flat. We were given two pillows each, but every single one was completely flat and uncomfortable. And honestly, the worst part was the parking fee — £15 per night is far too expensive, especially for hotel guests already staying at the property.
