Lavande Hotel (Beijing Tiananmen Square Wangfujing Street Branch)

This hotel was very difficult to find. Their direction signs are not clearly seen from the outside of the building. The hotel is on the 4th and 5th floor of an office building. The building itself seems like it's under construction or it's just really poorly maintained. The room has been refurbished at least once, but not very well. It's a one level system until you get to the far side of the bed where it's on a higher level, but you won't know that until you trip over the new floor height and smash your head on the wall adjacent to the rise in floor level. The breakfast was....really not worth the money. It should either be free or they should just scrap it all together The shower was excellent. The towels are new and soft, yet very helpful to remove the water from you. The bed was the masterpiece. It is large, firm and flat. The room rate is too high for this particular hotel by about 25% Keith

Service good, amenities ok lah, cleanliness good. Although there’s sign no smoking, but our room still have the smoking smell little bit. The breakfast is nah, there’s cheap and tasty restaurant near hotel. The location is very good. Definitely will come back with more of our family members. Be careful when booking taxi, because there’s so many lavande hotel near here. I booked wrong taxi to another lavande hotel branch tho. So stupid me

Wouldn't recommend. Smells like cigarettes everywhere. Service very poor. Amenities very little. Towels too tiny. No robes. They hand you toiletries in your hand when you enter. Very cold. Advertisements in the lift. Overall experience bad.

The reception staff were polite but didn’t speak English, which made communication a bit difficult. The hotel itself is very basic, with limited facilities. Upon entering our room, we were immediately hit with a strong smell of cigarettes, and there was visible mold on the ceiling and in the corners. After requesting a room change, the new room unfortunately had an even worse odor. The restaurant was small, uninviting, and offered very basic food. We chose not to have breakfast there. The bathroom and toilet had large, uncovered, non-see-through windows that opened directly to the bedroom, with no curtains for privacy or to block out sunlight. As a result, the room was flooded with sunlight every morning, waking us up at 7 AM. Additionally, we found an old, dusty bag under the desk, which, after translation, turned out to be an outdated humidity absorber. The toilet was old, barely functioning, and in need of serious repair. The air conditioning system was also problematic—no matter the temperature setting, it blasted cold air directly at the bed, making the room uncomfortably chilly. Overall, this hotel left much to be desired in terms of comfort, cleanliness, and attention to detail.
