Hotel berhampiran Borsig Gate, Berlin

On checking in, we were assigned a room, went to our and it had somebody else's suitcase in it. We went back to the reception and got it sorted. But as two tourists who didn't speak the lingo, we were lucky to have a German friend with us to help. However, the staff seemed unconcerned about the error, indicating this might happen as not as much of a one off error as you might like to think. Our friend was also told we were lucky to be given another room as the hotel was overbooked, and we could easily have been told to go elsewhere. With this in mind, I'd recommend not paying in advance, as we don't know how easy it difficult it might have been to get a refund in that situation, especially as we'd used a booking agent not direct. Thankfully the second room we were given was nice, spacious, clean and comfortable but we did feel nervous that someone else might be allocated our room when we were out. That didn't happen, as far as we know. The hotel is conveniently located for access to the city centre, close to various train stations a short walk away and a selection of local shops and restaurants. The breakfast was excellent! Didn't use the gym facilities but they looked good. The hotel bar was well stocked and friendly, comfortable indoor and outdoor seating although it did seem to close early.

A very affordable option that you should look at if you do not mind the distance. It is right outside of the main city, but it’s clean and safe, there’s a fantastic local pub down the road.

A hostel like accommodation. It is situated about 15 minutes walk distance from the central train station. Basic amenities are included in the room. It is highly recommended for anyone looking for a stay on a budget!

If your on a holiday and need a cenral place close to public transport, but still a quiet night, it's a good place. If you're looking for a mid#town party area (sleepless nights) you're off mark here, but the price of the accom may be interesting still. if you're on business and need to get up early, you won't find sleep easily because the hotel attracts customers keen on running, shouting and being noisy in general. If you look for CoVid security, the hotel has nice rules but nobidy gives a damn and nothing is enforced. If you have a room at 6th floor, to avoid the stuffed lifts is an inconvenient choice. In general. The place is clean and well maintained, tyhe crew is helpfulp. The immidiate neighbourhood is quiet but boring. If the guest next door snores you've rotten luck, if he doen;t, it's a good night. Given the price, one could do worse.

The hotel is near the Savignyplatz station, which is a good area. Another plus was that the room was very clean. However, it should not be advertised as a hotel with a gym & sauna. The “gym” was a small room with a treadmill and a cable machine, and the sauna was not working at all. I wouldn’t have booked this hotel if the right information was available.

Located in central of Berlin, this is probably the tallest hotel in town. They have a really nice view over the city. Very convenient with metro and all the restaurants and shops around. Rooms are clean but if you live high up, it’s hard to get mobile signal. Wifi doesn’t work so well when a lot of people are using it. One of the biggest issue if you live higher than 20th floor, the elevator won’t stop at your floor for so long. Not sure how the elevators work, you may have to wait 10 mins for getting down to lobby at busy hours (etc lunch/ dinner hour) Check in was easy and quick, and staff is friendly also.

This is a modern functional hotel (which we booked via BA holidays) apparently popular for conferences, so you get the picture. Four of us went for a city break. The hotel is well situated within easy walking distance of Gendarmenmarkt. Spittelmart U-bahn is 2 minutes away. Easy and welcoming check-in. Our rooms were comfortable and spacious. The bathroom had an excellent walk-in shower although the wash basin had the depth of a birdbath. What was surprising was the amount of wasted space in the bedroom with a great void between the bed and the door which could have been used for some proper drawers and shelves. As it was, there was only 1 drawer and 3 shelves, one of which was useful only if you were 2 metres tall (see photo). The wardrobe, if you could call it that, was an open hanging space, but it was situated at right angles to a padded seat (see photo) making accessibility difficult and there was only one chair in the room. Tea-making facilities were available but instant coffee only and powdered milk. We used to take a small jug of milk from breakfast and keep it in the fridge. There was a very good and comprehensive breakfast with just about everything one could want. As a morning tea drinker I cannot comment on the coffee which came from a machine, but there was an excellent selection of leaf teas. The hot food was OK, but nothing cooked to order so that eggs were either warm scrambled or hard boiled. Staff were very helpful and dishes promptly refilled. We didn’t use the restaurant for dinner as the menu looked pretty basic but there are restaurants within walking distance. All in all, nothing special but I would still recommend it for a short stay.

I recently visited this hotel with my boyfriend and I was very impressed. We arrived a little before check-in and we were allowed to go to our room. the room was very spacious with an extremely comfy bed and amazing shower. Also on the last day our flight was not for a while and were were allowed to wait in the lobby after checkout which had lovely sofas and seating areas. It was quiet and there were people working in there. The staff were very lobely and was great for the price.

The front desk staff was very accommodating in getting me into my room quite early after an overnight flight. Rooms leave much to be desired. Beds are very tiny - what a toddler would sleep on. Beds are very, very firm. Room and bathroom weren't very clean. I had my 'do not disturb' sign on my door and received a knock from housekeeping. Repeatedly. When I went to the door, thinking the sign must have fallen off, the housekeeper pushed past me, handed me my 'do not disturb' sign and insisted I replace it with the 'clean my room' sign. It is a 20-30 minute drive to city center. The area is questionable for walking around on your own as a female traveler.
