Hotel 2 Bintang di Berlin

The hostel is very dirty. All the surfaces are sticky. There is a terrible stench in the rooms, toilets, corridors and lobby. Things forgotten by the previous tenants are lying around until they are thrown away by the current tenants. Mattresses are stained with brown stains, possibly menstrual blood (I was in the women's room). The pillows are crumpled and terribly uncomfortable. The beds stand so you can't fully open the window to air it out. The lobby is very noisy and smelly too, apparently there is no ventilation or it is blocked. Absolutely not recommended, even for 25€ a night! It's too much for this place.

Overall, a very good hostel. Close to a couple of very famous clubs in Berlin and a metro station that will get you to the city in 15 to 20 minutes. Also a huge plus that the kitchen is open all night. The only thing the hostel lacked was a social atmosphere. All the groups kind of just stuck to their own. The hostel probably could use some activities to get people to mingle around a bit. Overall, very good, but not great stay.

Location was good and the main hotel room was decent enough. However, for some reason there were no handrails in bathroom or the hotel room so hanging up towels or other things was hard.

A cozy hostel with a hidden gem inside. The only Circus that brews is a really cool way to interest new guests. If I'll explain The Circus Hostel from the underground to the top, I appreciate the spacy luggage room for free. I also like the small bar under the ground that offered us a free beer sample which tastes really great. And I'm sayin it as a Czech. On the ground, there's a cute cafe, friendly and kind crew ready for everything that could happen and tram station right before the hostel entrance. Higher levels are just full of modern rooms and shared toilets and showers. You may miss the fridge and towels but reception offers both to borrow. And the bonus that i wanna mention is that there are many good stores, cafes and restaurants around Circus and metro station nearby.

The hostel was alright, but the room feels quite small, I’m 5,5 and can’t even seat straight at the bottom bed, and to be absolutely honest, I believe the toilet signs should be more clear about male and female showers and toilet, would also recommend working on the cleanness of the shower room as well. On the other hand, the staff were all pretty friendly and willing to help, some doesn’t speak English and that did caused confusion to me but everything was good at the end. Over all I’m happy with my stay but probably won’t come back for the next time.

The Grqnd Hyatt Berlin is my stay of choice when in Berlin. It’s Potsdamer Platz location is ideal for the main sights, connects to the airport and many terrific eateries. The room and breakfast quality are excellent and it’s small enough to give personal service.

I originally booked a different type of room and wanted to change and they were helpful in the process. It's more of a student-type accommodation but they had options for different kinds of travelers. It was of good walking distance to the central railway and accessible to different kinds of transportation. The room was comfortable and clean enough.

El hostel tiene una excelente ubicación, cerca del metro, lugares para salir y vibrante vida nocturna, no es recomendable para gente que busque una estadia en paz. Sabanas limpias (pero debes pagar 5 euros para esto) y una toalla pequeña. No todos los cuartos tienen baño, hay una ducha con puertas transparentes para bañarte donde se ve todo. Lo peor, el estado general de las instalaciones, parece un hospital abandonado y la gente que se hospeda, NO VAYAS A CUARTO COMPARTIDO, en solo 2 noches tuve primer comensales que tomaron mi toalla a su gusto, otros que colaron en su habitación a amigos para no pagar otra cama y una persona inestable que se encerró en el baño por 5 hrs, hablando solo a las 1 am, luego se levantó a las 8 am para seguir hablando solo. La verdad no pude dormir, no me sentí seguro en ningun momento, desde la recepción trataron de solucionarlo pero sin ningun resultado, no fue una buena experiencia, no lo recomiendo y no volveria, pero estoy siendo justo poniendo 3 estrellas porque no se cuanto de responsabilidad tenia el hostel con quien se hospedaba.

Slept in a 6-bed dorm with my son (11) and daughter (17). Room rather small but was fine for 2 nights. Quiet enough (thanks to my mates), away from the street, nice view into the gardens. Superb breakfast for vegetarians and vegans with a lot of homemade bread spreads, dips and mueslis. Fresh fruits, bit of fresh veggies. Location super. Atmosphere in the hostel super friendly and humurous. Will definitely return.
