Hotel berhampiran Lippenstiftmuseum, Berlin

Alles super! nette Rezeption, im Vergleich zum ”normalen” Axel deutlich besser, danke tür den zuvorkommenden Late check out!!

Das Frühstück war jeden Morgen super, der Service im Bereich Frühstück war immer sehr freundlich. Anreisetag war der 5.9.22, mein Name wurde auf der Liste angeblich nicht gefunden, sehr patzig wurde ich nach der Bestätigung gefragt, dann wurde mir auch sehr patzig gesagt, man bräuchte den Namen. Ich reise sehr oft, bezahle auch immer viel Geld aber noch nie wurde ich so behandelt. Irgendwann hat die braunhaarige Dame dann meinen Namen gefunden. Sehr komisch diese Aktion. Das Zimmer, naja. 4 Nächte für 500 Euro, Betten knochenhart, Bettwäsche wie in einer Tagesklinik. Den wasserkocher musste ich auf den Fußboden stellen da dort die Steckdose war. Kein Mülleimer, der Müll wurde auch nie weggeräumt und der Mülleimer im Bad, sehr klein, für Taschentücher ausreichend. Gläser und ein Flaschenöffner befand sich auf dem Zimmer, für den Preis ist zu erwarten das eine Flasche Wasser am Anreisetag dort steht. Das Bad hat ein widerlichen urinstein Geruch. Schräg auf der Toilette musste man sitzen, da der Heizkörper direkt daneben ist. Die Toilettenspühlung lief ewig, mann musste dann zurück drücken. Und das in einem Hotel!!!! Der Fernseher war der letzte Schrei, dass Internet, ohne Worte. Und das zur heutigen Zeit. Absolutes no go!!! Am Abreisetag wurde ich nicht einmal gefragt wie zufrieden ich war, dieses hotel werde ich nicht wieder buchen. Im Dezember dann wieder ein Hotel in Berlin, welches ich bereits kenne.

The hair dryer in my room was not working. The room was so cold. The receptions could not speak English very well so they couldn’t understand my words. It was claimed that there would be a vending machine actually it was but it does not have water as the most important thing! The location is a little bit far away from public transportation.

We really enjoyed our stay, and will most certainly be back. Firstly, if you're anything like us you'll pass the front door thinking it couldn't possibly be the door to the hotel (we had to confirm with 2 gentlemen outside). Then the stairs up to an elevator that's hidden, well the stairs are wide and opulent and worn to a bare remembrance of certain former glory. The elevator is rickety & only to be used out of absolute necessity! Most of the time you'll get out and realise you have to go back up a flight as it only caters for floors 1,3 and 4. The reception is fine, the staff are fine and the breakfast was weird and wonderful and endless! €12 each. The pillows are hateful- I mean hateful. The ceilings are tall & the windows let in loads of air & light as the open fully in and overlook a courtyard (we stayed on the 3rd floor). It's clean, but mostly the location is spectacular for the price. The train station, underground are just around the corner and the zoo is minutes walk away and well worth a visit. Highly recommend this hotel 🏨 The burger joint next door is next level!! 😋

An sich war alles in Ordnung. Das einzige was halt sehr schade ist, sind die dreckigen und total verkalkten duschköpfe... Das Klopapier ist zu rau und auch die kissen sind nicht so gemütlich gewesen... Aber am sonsten wars in Ordnung.... Man könnte auch dafür sorgen, dass jeder der im Zimmer ist einen eigenen Schlüssel bekommt, statt dass sich alle ein Schlüssel teilen müssen.

Stayed here in July 2022. What an ugly and dated hotel. Room needed repainting, a good clean, new furniture and the carpet on the stairs was in poor condition. The water in the shower didn't get hot. Terrifying lift, do not use unless necessary. Incredibly bad Wi-Fi (connection drops continuously) and is really poor the rest of the time. Our room was over the Shisha bar and all evening the smell of Shisha flooded the room. It was really hot in Berlin, so we needed the windows open, but then had to breathe Shisha smoke for hours. I had an asthma attack because of it. The receptionists were friendly, which was probably the only plus for this really sh*tty hotel. AVOID!

The hotel is very well located next to a metro station and in front of it there is a bus, M85 that takes you to the main train station. The Turkish place next door offers amazing fresh kebabs. The city tour bus is just 20 min walk or couple of stations ride. The room was clean, the breakfast was having good varieties. The only missing part was the air conditioner, but the weather was good and we could sleep the night without it.

Overall Experience Impressive property that reflects the care and attention to detail management and staff have devoted to this gem. While it isn’t next door to the Mall of Berlin (20-minute subway ride away) and does not have the city-center bustle (meh), Hotel Louisa’s Place has an old-world charm with all the modern conveniences needed for a very comfortable stay. I will stay here on my next trip to Berlin and I would highly recommend to anyone seeking a comfortable alternative to the corporate chain hotels. Room: Very much liked the room floorplan. It was like a 1-bedroom apartment with a separate living/dining/kitchen area and a patio with a table for two overlooking the courtyard. The bathroom was spacious with a huge shower. The 12-foot-high ceilings with ornate crown molding and large windows made it seem very grand. We felt as though we had a posh European flat for our week in Berlin with all the amenities of a very nice hotel. Location: I was surprised to learn that everything we needed during our stay was within walking distance. We found three grocery stores and more restaurants than we had time to try all within a 5–10-minute walk. There was also an abundance of other shops and stores near the hotel. The U-Bahn (subway) station was 1 block from the front door. The S-Bahn (main city-wide trains) station was a 8-10-minute walk or you could walk to the U-Bahn and ride it to the next stop and shorten the walk to the S-Bahn. We did not need a rental car since all of our activities were accessible from the nearby subway or train. Price: I did my homework and found this hotel to be well-positioned in the market. Value for money was very good. So glad we did not stay in the chain hotel we were considering. Service: Unlike American hotels post-pandemic, housekeeping was done every day of our stay with fresh towels as needed. They emptied the trash bins and collected recycled containers and generally tidied up. All staff were very friendly and eager to help with any questions and requests we had. Cleanliness: All aspects of this hotel were well tended to. I typically wipe down drawers and shelves before putting clothes away. That was not necessary at this hotel. The bathroom and kitchen were very clean, and I was impressed by how this older building has been meticulously upgraded and maintained.

Prima, dass es jetzt direkt am Terminal 1/2 des BER nun neben dem Steigenberger auch das IntercityHotel gibt. Es wurde erst Mitte Januar 2023 eröffnet. Die Zimmer sind modern, praktisch und chic, wie die in den meisten neuen bzw. renovierten Intercity Hotels. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und engagiert, manche Prozesse müssen sich für ein neues Team sicher noch einspielen. Man ist in ein paar Minuten zu Fuss direkt im Terminal am Check-in, ebenso am Flughafenbahnhof mit Fern-, Regional und S-Bahn-Verkehr. Frühstück gibt es ab Punkt 6:00 Uhr, da geht das Licht im Restaurant an, es gibt ein vielfältiges Frühstücksangebot. Nach meinem nicht so tollen Aufenthalt im danebenliegenden Steigenberger ist das IntercityHotel Airport BER empfehlenswert. Ich hoffe nur, dass Gäste es nicht zu oft mit dem IntercityHotel am Bahnhof Schönefeld verwechseln, die Namensgebung der beiden Hotels ist sicher nicht ganz so toll.
