The best experience in China! Perfect for family travelI traveled with my mother and my son, and this hotel made our trip to Pingyao truly unforgettable. It is the perfect place to live and feel what ancient China was like, but with all the modern comforts.The service is exceptional: they picked us up for free from the train station and, upon arrival, gave us a detailed breakdown of the tourist attractions using a map. As if that weren't enough, they gave us a free upgrade to a much more expensive room without charging us anything extra. It was an incredibly generous gesture.The hotel is extremely clean, the bedsheets are an absolute dream to rest on, and the air conditioning works wonderfully (which is vital when traveling with children and seniors). Additionally, they rented us an electric scooter at a super affordable price, which allowed us to explore the city with total comfort. It has a genuinely cozy atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. We recommend it 100% for families!

Honestly is very comfortable and very clean with smart facilities. Location is just a short walk off 南大街。老板人很好接送我们到动车站，还把我们送到区间优平遥。 highly recommended. Helped us book tour guide and tickets to “encounter Pingyao” as well. We will stay here again if we ever come back. 祝老板生意兴隆.

民宿就在古城內，位置絕佳——離市樓很近，逛南大街、縣衙都很方便。院子是典型的晉商風，紅燈籠木雕花，拍照很出片。走的時候老闆還送了山西老陳醋。反正下次來還會住這兒，像回了趟老家。強烈推薦給想體驗原汁原味平遙生活的朋友。

客棧位置非常好，鬧中取靜，步行2-3分鐘就能到達古城內最繁華核心地帶，市樓，南大街，平遙最好的餐廳都在這條街上。客棧裝修非常有特色，雕樑畫柱，古樸大氣，一進去給人一種眼前一亮的感覺，客棧上下有三層，自己特意請了攝像師在客棧拍了好多照片，沒去過平遙古城的朋友看了照片都收藏了他家，準備去時住那裡。房間乾淨衞生，舒適，有各種房型，滿足不同需求的遊客，價格適中，服務更是沒得説，老闆是本地人，熱情，真誠，主動給客人介紹平遙古城歷史，旅遊景點，當地特色美食，產品，憑他家的卡還可以在最有名的幾家餐廳打折吃飯，至於平遙特產醋，平遙牛肉，酒等都由老闆替我們代勞了，貨真價實！應我們的要求老闆帶我們去漆器廠挑選精美漆器，價格美麗，物超所值。總之來平遙古城你衹管玩好，其它的交給老闆就行了，一次非常愉快的旅行，收穫滿滿，還會再來，也推薦給要去平遙古城的朋友，選他家絕對沒錯！

The hotel is located in Pingyao's Old City, very close to the Ancient Government tourist landmark. I found the level of service outstanding. Even though there was a language barrier they were always eager to help. I liked the courtyard and in the room I felt like I was sleeping in one of the museums I visited in Pingyao. Additional perks include free laundry and free transport to the train station. As a drawback, the wifi connection didn't work well for me. To sum up excellent value for money.

Excellent location, inside the old city but next to the west gate to go to the train station. Although the staff does not speak English they are very friendly. The room is perfect, with an ancient feeling but all the modern facilities. It is clean and very quiet at night. Rooms surround a lovely courtyard. Great value for money.

這次平遙之行，非常榮幸選擇了榮耀民宿，雖然在古城外，但出行超方便，步行5-6分鐘就到古城入口，還免去了古城內交通管制的麻煩。房間乾淨又温馨，床品軟乎乎的，晚上一沾枕頭就睡着。民宿老闆是一名二十年的退役老兵，服務超熱情，不僅幫忙規劃路線，還推薦了很多本地人常去的小店，價格非常優惠才幾十塊錢，真的是物超所值。特別推薦大家可以入住體驗

Yuanlaiju is conveniently located within the walls of the old city so it is a short walk from a drop-off at the north gate. The facility includes a historic plaza and a traditionally dressed room. It’s not as stunning as the photos, but a good value for the price. The staff are there to help, offered a room upgrade, and allowed me to store my luggage after my stay. They also provide a free map which was helpful for navigating. Unfortunately the wifi did not work and the sink did not drain. But the bed and shower were very nice. ⛓️🐿️ The one issue I had was with the caged squirrels, one of whom was exhibiting “stereotypical behaviors” like flipping from a lack of space. They probably need a minimum of 8x the space currently being offered.

The hotel accepts foreigners. The location is good, relatively close to the ancient town, and about 2 KM from Pingyao station. It's also convenient if you're going to Zhenguo temple, as the bus going there stops nearby. The place itself is a bit in the middle of nowhere (a bit difficult to find, but look for the signs), but there are a few shops and eateries nearby. The room was clean, and sufficiently large. However, do note that you don't get anything except for the room (i.e. no towel, no toiletries etc.). Also the homestay is literally opposite from the railway tracks, so you're going to hear trains all the time. It's tolerable if you close the window, but do note that there's no air-conditioning, so it's going to be a problem in Summer. That said, it's extremely cheap, so even with all the issues, it's still great value for money.

Very simple room, but enough for one or two nights. Great quiet location inside of the city walls. A very hard bed, not a problem for me, but more fragile ppl will not sleep well. So that's the most important thing to mention - it's not a mattress but multiple thicker blankets and bedsheets on top. So very very hard. So consider before booking.
