Hotel Mesra Haiwan Peliharaan di Pingyao

We had a wonderful stay in Pingyao with many thanks to Chai. The personal service we received from him was exemplary. From numbering the Old Town map with the best attractions, with many other tips to enhance our visit, to organising a driver for us to go to Mianshan Scenic Area and back to the railway station. We really appreciated his help. He was very patient as everything needed to be done through the translation app. The accommodation was very comfortable and scrupulously clean, very big room and bed and a fabulous shower. Location couldn't have been better - right in the middle of the main area but down a lane way so it was very quiet at night. We would be very happy to stay again.

It was just an absolutely amazing experience from the very beginning and until the very end of our stay, not even just in the hotel, but in the city of Pingyao itself in general. Me and my friend are traveling very light and without guides, and in Pingyao we had only one day: from evening to evening of the next day. Huge huge thanks to everyone who made this day unforgettable and ultimately comfortable for tired us: Alice, Helen, Fenny, Hana, and all others who was there for us. The hotel service is simply excellent: as soon as they learned about our late arrival, they immediately offered to meet us at the railway station, which was absolutely the sweetest thing. They brought us to the city gate, met us there, and walked us to the hotel. There they gave us a map, on which they explained in great detail where everything is, what is worth paying attention to, how it is better to build the route, and what opening hours different sights have. They also helped us organize a private transfer to Shaolin Temple the next morning. It was just perfect: we got there in 15 minutes instead of one and a half hours by foot, and after our walk in the temple they met us and brought us back. Also on the evening of arrival they helped us immediately buy the ticket for visiting all attractions of the city, valid for three days. And also they advised us where to eat, and gave us a hotel discount in both places. We did not regret it even once, the food was amazingly delicious in both places! The hotel itself is just wonderful: it really looks exactly like in the photos. You want to photograph every corner and record how the sparrows are chirping on the roof, and how two wonderful cats are meowing. The room also matches and even exceeds expectations. A huge kang bed, very comfortable. Excellent shower with everything needed. Breakfast is included in the stay: the traditional Chinese one was very tasty! Unfortunately, we did not manage to eat the egg, it was freshly boiled and still hot, but we were hurrying to Shaolin Temple by opening time. Also the hotel has a laundry service, and special thanks for that too! Washing and drying were very fast, and we got our nicely smelling clothes back already after four hours, which was critical for us, because we were leaving the same day. We felt like we really were honored guests, and we really appreciated it, even if only for one day.

Receptionist were polite, friendly, helpful & thoughtful. They took initiative to giving us suggestions on 'primary' attractions and recommending us localized dishes, stalls and restaurants, which turned out to be very good. They also arranged to pick us up from the entrance (normal car cannot enter Pingyao Gucheng) and send us to Pingyao Gucheng station (high-speed train station) on our last day - both for free. They helped arrange a private car to take us to the places we wanted to visit (Wang Jia Da Yan & Mianshan) - we had to pay, of course. On check-out day, the receptionist gave us a surprise by gifting us a small bottle of localized vinegar which added on to our pleasant stay. In our travel experiences in more than 10 countries (& many hotels), the receptionist from this hotel was 1 of the best. Room was clean and no cigarette smell inside the room and within hotel premises. Towels were clean and smelled fresh. One small issue was that the water pressure from the hand-held shower head was weak. But the water pressure from rain-shower head was still acceptable. The hotel interior was very ancient-like which was very pretty and met what we expected. No disappointment. Hotel location was very good. A few footsteps away from bustling streets. The bustling streets were full of variety of shops -- restaurants, souvenirs, snacks, attractions, and many more. There was no vegetarian restaurant inside Pingyao Gucheng, however, you could easily ask the restaurant staff to cook vegetarian meal for you -- just need a bit of explaining what you want to exclude from your meal, it's quite easy.

We had a fantastic stay here, largely thanks to the incredibly helpful and kind host. The hotel is housed in a 300-year-old building, giving you a beautiful, authentic experience of ancient China, but the interior is fully updated and very calm. Arrival and Service: The host is highly organized. They arranged a free shuttle to pick us up the moment we stepped out of the Pingyao Gucheng railway station, and provided a free drop-off when it was time to leave. Upon arrival, the host sat down with a map, clearly explained how to navigate the walled city, and gave us great advice on what to prioritize. The Room: It looks ancient from the outside, but it is a spacious, spotlessly clean, modern hotel room on the inside. It features a large flat-screen TV and a smart voice-control system for the lights. The bathroom was immaculate and entirely modern, complete with an excellent shower and a heated toilet seat. I cannot believe they provide a room of this quality for such an affordable price. It is truly worth it. Location & Breakfast: The hotel is in a very convenient spot inside the Pingyao city walls, just a 10-minute walk to the evening light show. Breakfast is included. Rather than a standard buffet, they serve a nice traditional set meal featuring millet porridge (xiaomi), fried vegetables, and eggs (see my uploaded pictures). I highly recommend this place if you want top-tier hospitality and a clean, comfortable blend of ancient atmosphere and modern convenience.

Hands down our favorite hotel experience in all of China - beautiful property and fantastic customer service. The hotel is beautiful with two picturesque traditional courtyards, while the rooms are modern, well equipped and sparkling clean. The hotel is in a great location and only a very short walk away from all the main attractions. Because the hotel doesn't directly face a big street, it's also very quiet all day and night which is a big plus! Our favorite was the incredible customer service, once again the best we've experienced in China. The staff was extremely helpful in picking us up and dropping us off at the train station. Throughout our stay, everyone was extremely kind, patient, and helpful in providing us with information and making our stay ever more comfortable. Also super responsive to our Wechat messages. An added bonus is that the hotel provided us with a free upgrade to a bigger room type, as well as a free breakfast. We ended up staying one night longer than planned because we liked this hotel and Pingyao so much! We will come back here on our next visit to Pingyao.

The hotel staff provide outstanding customer service, and I especially want to highlight Ana — she is amazing. The hotel itself is beautiful, but my room felt old and was not as clean as it should have been. I was also very disappointed that a western breakfast was not provided. Since I was the only guest in the room, it would only require one portion, and I believe a western breakfast should be included free of charge. I hope the hotel can improve in these areas to better match the excellent service of the staff.

客棧位置非常好，鬧中取靜，步行2-3分鐘就能到達古城內最繁華核心地帶，市樓，南大街，平遙最好的餐廳都在這條街上。客棧裝修非常有特色，雕樑畫柱，古樸大氣，一進去給人一種眼前一亮的感覺，客棧上下有三層，自己特意請了攝像師在客棧拍了好多照片，沒去過平遙古城的朋友看了照片都收藏了他家，準備去時住那裡。房間乾淨衞生，舒適，有各種房型，滿足不同需求的遊客，價格適中，服務更是沒得説，老闆是本地人，熱情，真誠，主動給客人介紹平遙古城歷史，旅遊景點，當地特色美食，產品，憑他家的卡還可以在最有名的幾家餐廳打折吃飯，至於平遙特產醋，平遙牛肉，酒等都由老闆替我們代勞了，貨真價實！應我們的要求老闆帶我們去漆器廠挑選精美漆器，價格美麗，物超所值。總之來平遙古城你衹管玩好，其它的交給老闆就行了，一次非常愉快的旅行，收穫滿滿，還會再來，也推薦給要去平遙古城的朋友，選他家絕對沒錯！

Location, value for money and hotel services unbelievable. I am so glad that i stay at this hotel after search many good and great hotel. The hotel go extra miles provide pick up and drop off from train station as this service not listed(only airport but not train station). The ambiance of the hotel the moment i step in until i at the room is just amazing which is exactly same like watching C drama Wuxia. The courtyard building is listed as historical site and the entire premises and the room truly transform & bring me back to the past. Location great within walking distance to west avenue pingyao ancient city and surrounding nearby easily can get local foods. I posted some pictures hope is helpful. Highly recommend stay at this courtyard.

這次平遙之行，非常榮幸選擇了榮耀民宿，雖然在古城外，但出行超方便，步行5-6分鐘就到古城入口，還免去了古城內交通管制的麻煩。房間乾淨又温馨，床品軟乎乎的，晚上一沾枕頭就睡着。民宿老闆是一名二十年的退役老兵，服務超熱情，不僅幫忙規劃路線，還推薦了很多本地人常去的小店，價格非常優惠才幾十塊錢，真的是物超所值。特別推薦大家可以入住體驗

Staying in Yundingxuan has been an awesome experience. Upon steppimg into the courtyard built according to ancient Chinese architectural style, one feels immediately transported into a world of rich culture. The room is big and. neat with a huge double bed and a kang style bed opposite it. Hanging from the ceiling are beautiful Chinese lanterns that when switched on lwnds the room a warm and elegant atmosphere. Staying in Yundingxuan is definitely worth the experience.
