We stayed at this hotel for two nights and really enjoyed the experience. It’s designed as a traditional courtyard property, with large, spacious rooms built using high-quality materials. The breakfast is Chinese but very Western-friendly. The location is close to the main sites, though in a quieter area, so expect a 5–7 minute walk to reach the main temples. As is common, the staff don’t speak much English, but communication via phone translators worked smoothly and wasn’t an issue. The team was very kind, and overall this is a clearly upscale boutique hotel with a beautiful courtyard setting—we would definitely recommend it.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, the room was very clean and comfortable, and the location was perfect. Everything was well organised and made my stay relaxing and enjoyable. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to others. The pickup service from the train station was an excellent addition and they have excellent translation services.

The location and room itself is quite nice, BUT the hotel also has a Hanfu rental. Meaning there are people all day taking pictures and unfortunately the photographers are quite loud and talkative. Meaning it feels like you stay at a train station on a busy day. The place needs to decide if they want to be a hotel or a photo spot but both doesn’t work. Especially for the price!

The experience started perfectly with a complimentary pickup service at the train station, where the staff was waiting for me with a welcome sign. The hotel owner is incredibly kind and thoughtful, even lending me a portable translator to help with my communication during the trip. The room is very modern and equipped with high-tech facilities. The bed is soft and comfortable, and the air conditioning system works perfectly for both heating and cooling. I was particularly impressed by the in-room water dispenser (both hot and cold water) and the massive projector screen which provided great entertainment. The breakfast was delicious, served in a beautifully presented set. Every detail was taken care of with heart. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable and hospitable stay!”

A truly beautiful hotel with an atmospheric courtyard. The room was spacious and the bed comfortable. The only small minus is that if you use the shower, everything gets wet in the bathroom. The Chinese breakfast was ok and they provided coffee and milk. The young lady at the reception speaks English and is very friendly. The location of the hotel is close to the main attractions, but very quiet at night.

The hotel is located in Pingyao's Old City, very close to the Ancient Government tourist landmark. I found the level of service outstanding. Even though there was a language barrier they were always eager to help. I liked the courtyard and in the room I felt like I was sleeping in one of the museums I visited in Pingyao. Additional perks include free laundry and free transport to the train station. As a drawback, the wifi connection didn't work well for me. To sum up excellent value for money.

location is perfect. Hotel is located in a beautiful building. Room was ok. Please note that the beds are really hard, especially for European people. I knew we had original kan beds, and expected them to be hard, but they were really really hard. Our kids were to tired and we let them sleep out a bit, so we skipped breakfast which was until 09:30. People worlking at hotel could be a bit more helpfull. The hotel itself is bigger then expected. If you go for teh scenic adventure, you can choose to stay here as the location is perfect. You also only need to walk like 20 meters max from the drop off point where no shuttle busses are allowed.

Posizione ottima. Personale molto gentile e disponibile a soddisfare tutte le nostre richieste. Ambientazione suggestiva. Purtroppo la stanza e pulizia lasciano desiderare. C’erano capelli sul letto, nel bagno e sui mobili. Per 4 persone con bagagli, lo spazio nella stanza è molto limitato. Il letto Kang è una bella esperienza, ma preparatevi a un letto molto duro. Gli asciugamani usa e getta forniti dalla struttura sono inutili, quindi consiglio di portare i propri. Se siete europei, non aspettavi una colazione occidentale.
