Had a business meeting in the vicinity of the Philly airport. I haven’t been impressed by most of Marriotts airport offerings, the Residence Inn my usual hotel was unavailable. Took a chance on this property and I was quite happy with it. It’s a newer Fairfield Inn and this showed through the hotel and rooms. Most Fairfields I’ve stayed at were older properties and this is better than all of them hands down. Room was clean and tip top shape. Free parking is always great. There is a 24hr Wawa a couple minutes drive away. I’d recommend this property to anyone liking to stay in this area and if you have access to a vehicle.

We were in town for a hockey tournament so usually the budget is in the $150 per night range, tops. Because of availability we had to stay here and pay closer to $250 per night range. Not happy about that from a personal budget standpoint, but what a nice hotel. First the bad. If you are traveling with kids , the WiFi signal is poor in the rooms and they won’t be able to play their devices on the TV or in the room. Second, amazingly, the TV is not a smart TV so no apps like Netflix etc. That should be standard by now. The good. Tucked into a residential area so it’s nice and quiet. Big parking lot. Crisp, clean , spacious lobby and restaurant with nice outdoor patio. Pleasant smiling staff. Good shower, at good height and water pressure. Nicer towels. Beds are comfortable, sheets and pillows are quality. All in all, not spectacular but it was nice to just be comfortable, have nothing to detract from the stay, and have everything be as it should be with no corners cut.

Honestly, the BLACK guy at the front desk, he ruined my desire to want to stay. I had placed a reservation, my being a BLACK man, and he basically was anti-social; for being the greeter, one would expect, as the guest, to be treated courteously, which I was not. I WAS told to stand out-side as I arrive, as he informed I could, 1 HOUR before check-in. I get there and I see an ”AGENT” walking the perimeter and my first impression was, is this an INN or a half-way house/prison? Needless to state, I simply left and cared nothing for the reservation, even though the pre-registration warranted a hold on my credit card. Glad to have had that cancelled and with OUT charge. Two YEARS a go, management was some what stable, pre-pandemic, yet NOW, it is a wonder how this BLACK receptionist got hired! Talk about bottom of the barrel......never again will I return to Parkway Inn, current standing being as they are.
