There was so much good about this motel! Neat place!! The room was very cozy and VERY small! No big deal at all. The bed had a nice, hard mattress (which I love) and comfy pillows. The shower had plenty of hot water and strong water pressure. The maid service was nothing short of outstanding. Very friendly and excellent at keeping the room neat and tidy. The room temp was easy to regulate. The breakfast had a great variety of choices. There is something here for anyone's taste. Lots of great breads and jams, too. Loved everything about this place. The front desk could not have been more helpful. They were friendly and enjoyed engaging in conversation. This hotel is close to the tram and, of course, the shopping options are innumerable. Highly recommended!!

I visited Istanbul from USA and this is my review! This hotel is very clean and kid friendly! It’s a must you stay here if you ever visit Taksim, Istanbul. This hotel is in the perfect location, A lot of good food nearby, shopping nearby, grocery stores and mosque. The air conditioning was broken and I woke up at 3am sweating. I had to go down to the front desk and ask someone to come up to my room to try to fix it. After a while of unsuccessful attempts, I was relocated to a different room where I was only able to sleep for about three hours before having to leave to catch an early flight. I had no intention of writing a bad review. However, the hotel refused to refund me. Shockingly, they took no responsibility and claimed I should be grateful because they offered me a free coffee and breakfast on my first day (both were terrible by the way). Some of the staff members were friendly and nice. However, whoever is making the decisions regarding my experience and refund request, has no business working in the hospitality industry. Lastly, the marketing photos make this place look much nicer than it actually is. There are far better hotels in the same area for a lower price. Stay elsewhere.

Located near to Taksim Square. Easy access to metro. During 7 nights of stays they only changed towels 2 times, and full cleaning one time. The bottled water, tea & coffee need to request at the front desk.
The room was spacious and view was nice. But the bathroom quite smelly. The front desk said there are construction beside the hotel.
You can cook at the room too. They provide all the pan and cooking utensils there. Good for traveller that on a tight budget.
So there are good and bad staying here.
But i would say overall is ok and bearable.

My friend and I were staying at Mount Ararat Hotel for three nights. We were welcomed by friendly and helpful staff. Even though we barely stayed in our room, the room had everything what we needed after a long day outdoors. The beds were very comfortable, the place was clean and so was the bathroom. There were a lot of restaurants nearby and during the evening the neighbourhood became very lively with locals and tourists. We were happy that after a tiring day we could grab some food and drinks with our hotel in the close proximity. On our last evening Saleh helped us arranging the transport to the airport which was top-notch! On the other hand, we had an arrangement with breakfast included and it was slightly disappointing. It was buffet with various choices of food and drinks but my friend and I are a little bit fussy. We preferred to grab something on our way to the city centre. It is not a deal breaker though. All in all, good value for money. We were satisfied about our choice and would definitely come back.

Very professional driver. Mr Mehmet who was in contact with me prior to landing and patiently waiting for my arrival after clearing customs. The front desk staff, Kader is very pleasant. Check in is fast and the message prior to my arrival was reassuring. The hotel is near the airport and I would recommend it for a layover. It is clean and the staff even leave complimentary snacks and water. Thank you for the hospitality, diligent staff: housekeeping, front desk and driver for shuttle.

PPETER SOOBONGThe hotel was clean. It's what you expect from Ibis international brand. The rooms were clean, breakfast buffet was superb with many options of both hot and cold items. The lobby, restaurant, and lounge was all nicely renovated and modern. It's close walking distance to several malls and restaurants. We chose this hotel because it was in a busy area but close to the international school where our children had a basketball tournament. Dinner options were great at the nearby Marmara Park Mall.
My biggest complaint was the check-in process. I checked in with my 13-year old daughter. Upon check-in, they asked for passport or local identity card. I had mine in my wallet, but i forgot my daughter's. Usually, in hotels in Turkey, if you forget to bring it, they ask you to show a copy. I showed them on my phone a copy of her id. But it took so long for the check-in person to make phone calls and verify if this was okay. First of all, nowhere in any of the confirmation emails did it say we needed to bring this, especially for a minor. And it took way too long for us to get our room key and check-in. I don't know what they would have done? Were they gonna ask my 13-year-old daughter to sleep outside, or in the lobby? Even if I didn't have a copy, they should have gone above and beyond in customer service to allow her to stay. I personally know that they just need her identity details to report every night to the authorities who is staying in their hotel. They can easily try to work with me and make us feel comfortable. My other complaint was the speed of the wifi in my room. Several times, there was no connection, or I got kicked off, and had to login again. Don't expect great streaming on your devices in this hotel.

PPengguna TetamuI have booked at Pera orient hotel because it offers what I want from an hotel during my travels and the feedbacks were in its favor. Just after my booking was done I stumble on a negative review that was posted on trip advisor. I was worried about my choice. But when I went to Istanbul and stayed there, I felt compelled to share my own experience, which was entirely different and absolutely fantastic! I believe it's essential to give credit where credit is due. First of all , if you are seeking a resort , Pera Orient is not a resort and it never claims to be one! My stay at Pera Orient was comfortable and pleasant. Upon arrival, I was warmly greeted by the friendly and attentive staff, who made their best to help me in every possible way and to answer my queries during my 5-day long stay. Their warm smiles and genuine willingness to assist truly set the tone for my stay. The location of the hotel is ideal. A 6 min walk from the hotel takes you to Taksim square where you can take the Metro or bus to reach your desired destination. And it allowed me to make regular daily walks on istikal street . The street is a little narrow yes, but there are plenty of hotels all around that I have never felt scared or unsafe ( as it was mentioned in the negative review). And I always took the upward direction then turn right towards taksim. I was greeted by a spotless clean room with a tasteful decor. The bed was incredibly comfortable, The housekeeping staff was attentive and meticulous, making sure that my room was impeccably cleaned each day. Coffee and tea were left daily next to the kettle (sometimes with a bottle of water). When I will visit Istanbul again , I will definitely chose Pera Orient to stay in.

Beautiful restaurant, and reception. Everything about the hotel is beautiful. Buffet breakfast very nice. I highly recommend it. The hotel is 50 minute's to Galata which is the most central area in Istanbul.Taxi charge about 550 to 600TL to Galata. They helped me decorate the room for my wife’s birthday. Though the charge was much.

As the receptionist neither allowed their child ( which was already booked for) neither cancelled there booing, the receptionist argued that it’s not there problem but it’s the website issue.I do not recommend this hotel, as you can’t trust them while there are much more options around

CConnector24254869818There are some strange reviews on here about dirt (it was very clean) and lack of variety at breakfast (it would take a week to try everything). A great selection of cold meats, cheeses, juices, cereals, fruits, breads, different fish each day, and there's always the tahini molasses or honey from the honeycomb for variety. And full ”American / English breakfast” and other dishes at a supplement. On departure day, we took over an hour trying things. We were on ihg ”reward points” and treated very well. Staff were all friendly and attentive. Queries about the room were sorted before we arrived, and (Champions League Final weekend) even a small cake in the room in the shape of a football pitch. It is not the best location (walking to Taksim Square begins steeply uphill, so use the hotel shuttle bus) but turn left up to Osmanbey metro and you'll find cafes in side streets. It's a bit of a steep walk down (in the road!) from Osmanbey metro (Dolpadere exit) - probably easier than trying to find the hotel bus at Taksim Square. Pool, steam room and sauna were fine too. Even if not particuarly central, it would be an easy choice for a return trip.

PPengguna TetamuHi Me and my wife we came to Instanbul for clinic surgery. Due to the clinic messed up the hotels , we have been send to Centro Hotel. We arrived at 9.30 in the reception and since that hour we have been checked in at 14.00 in our rooms. Since we’ve paid , we should’ve be entitle for the breakfast. Unfortunately no. So me and my wife we have to pay to can get breakfast. The reception staff very very rude. They don’t care and all the time , but their excuse “ we don’t know nothing “ We explained to the reception that we are staying 2 days, after we check out , going to the hospital and after 2 days we will come back to check in. We went hour the first day , we came back we went upstairs , couldn’t open the door , went to reception apparently we have been checked out without to get informed( money , luggages left in the room) Went to the reception “ typical answer : we don’t know nothing “ The receptionist very rude . In the end we have checked in again. Coming back from the hospital , of course we haven’t received the same room , ok no worries , but again very upsetting we received the awful room( toilet door broken , sink drainage smell very bad , walls dirty , furniture chipped ) - suppose to be 5* hotel. Not really I was talking with the reception , nothing has been done. After 1 day I went again downstairs and finally they change our room. Not very impressed. Asked for an extra pillow - 1 day to get it. Food at the hotel- stay away - very expensive and not impressive. Answer for the management: Yes I have complaint and raise my complains, but it takes a while to be solved. In one word , try to avoid this hotel. Disappointed.
