Just okay :/ The staff was great and very friendly. However, the hotel quality did not match up with the standard we have seen at other Shangri - La Hotels. The paint on our door was badly peeling and the padded benches in our room were stained. Two of the outlets in our room did not have power. We ordered room service the first night and the rice that was sent was hard a a rock and stuck together. The location was great and the potential is there but this hotel is in need of some upkeep and a standards check. For any other hotel this would not be as big of a concern, but for the price and expectation of a Shangri- La Hotel, we were expecting a bit more.

The room was clean and quiet. It also had a nice view where you could see the sea and the rainforest.Service was good , and it was easy to call a taxi ,you just need to press a taxi bottom in the lobby and taxi would come to the hotel within 5 to 15 minutes .This was really cool!

We stayed at Oak Carins for one quick evening before departing for a liveaboard cruise. The check in was quick and our stay was nice and comfortable. The only issue is that we booked the stay through our airline and requested an ocean view room. Unfortunately, the systems didn’t sync and Oak Carins oversold ocean view rooms and we were stuck with a different view. The staff tried to accommodate with a breakfast voucher but we couldn’t accept as we were leaving before their kitchens opened. So we were told that we would be credited back a refund…but there are so many stages/3rd parties, I doubt we will ever see it, but appreciate them trying. Would recommend if you are in Cairns and need a reasonably priced place to stay that is walking distance to the activities in the city.

Just spent 3 great days here. We have been Accor Members since around 2010 and this is the best Accor room we have stayed in. We had a Premium deluxe king suite with water views on level 6. Room has a balcony, twin sinks, seperate toilet, large bathroom, lots of space, plantation shutters. King bed was very comfortable. Car Parking underneath the hotel was very accessible by lift from lobby and very reasonable rates @ $12 per day. Front desk staff are friendly and helpful. Room Service Staff and staff in Merchant Breakfast Cafe were excellent, especially Tori and Jamie. Food in Merchant Cafe is very nice, but only cooked options are on the menu. Cereal, Juice & Yoghurt are available if requested. We’d prefer a buffet breakfast, as that allows choice of portions and items. Chilled, complimentary bottle of wine, upon arrival was greatly appreciated. Our Jetstar flight from Sydney was rescheduled and arrived at 10.00am instead of 1.30pm. Upon arrival at The Pullman Reef, the staff prioritised our room to be serviced and we were given access to our room at 11.30am, instead of the normal check in at 2.00pm. Great service !! Thank You

We arrived at the hotel around 1.30pm and we were able to check in straight away, the girl on reception was very friendly and explained where our room was as there are 2 towers . We were on the 10th floor with a city view. Our room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. Loved how they are helping with environmentally keys for your door which are just round bamboo disks and also having no plastic bottles in the fridges, just glass bottles. All tv programs were free so we’re able to watch new release movies and free wifi . We had booked a holiday package , so we also had free car parking and a $250 credit to use at any of their hotels . Would definitely stay here again .

Very grand lobby to start with. Nice hotel in a very handy location. We have a good view overlooking the sea, which is great. Just a short walk to the Night Markets. Woolworths is even closer. The Wildlife Doom is just opposite the road. So everything is so handy.

Crystalbrook Bailey was my stopover hotel so I wasn't expecting anything flash etc however when I arrived I was pleasantly surprised how beautiful and modern this hotel is. Such a change to a lot of the older Cairns hotels. I felt like I was in a hotel in Melbourne! Check in was a breeze and staff were lovely, I was in my room in no time at all. There is alot of stunning modern artworks all throughout the building, very cool to find as you make your way to your floor. The room was beautiful and sufficient for a one nights stay, I could have easily stayed for longer! The location is great, in the city and close to the esplanade. I would definitely stay here again!

This is definitely a place that is orientated more towards families rather than couples. What was good was the friendly staff throughout the resort, the food and beverage service and the convenient underground parking. Stayed in a deluxe king room on the fifth floor overlooking Cairns city which appears to have been recently upgraded. Room smelt damp on entry and after the first shower it was evident why. It is hard to believe that someone designed the shower so that water flowed directly onto the floor and out into the living area even when you had the least amount of water flow possible. Wee bit of a design flaw I would suggest. Also, when booking a King size bed it would be a good idea to ask guests if they want a second bed in the room along with connecting rooms. I personally have no wish to have connecting rooms unless I am staying as a family. This door along with the front door were not particularly well sealed and you could here plenty of noise from outside and next door. The balcony is marketed as being intimate in yet has one chair and being a connecting room has nothing between you and your neighbours balcony. Hardly intimate. Based on the reviews I am sure this place is perfect for families however, there are better choices for couples elsewhere in Cairns.

酒店環境很好，設施齊全，除了泳池還有spa館和好幾間餐廳和bar。位置也不錯，就在海邊，去碼頭稍微有點距離，但去夜市還有市中心都很近。訂的池景房，酒店在得知我們是蜜月旅行後，專門給了我們在頂層可以同時看到池景和海景的房間，額外還送了蜜月禮物，服務態度真的不錯。早餐雖然每天類型都差不多，但是是好吃的，算物有所值。

Does exactly what it says on the tin - great place for a short stay with large comfortable rooms and great swimming pools. It’s very much motel style and does feel a little bit open to the road with not much security but we didn’t have any issues. It is a short journey away from the airport but not really near to anything being out of the town centre, however if you don’t want the expense of taxis to the centre then buses from the shopping mall opposite are frequent, easy and inexpensive. There is no food at the hotel but you can of course get an Uber Eats delivery or walk over to the shopping mall where you can grab breakfast etc - Cafe 63 opens till quite late and has a massive menu so you can have dinner there too (nothing fancy but adequate and not expensive) The hotel is quiet enough at night but you need to be lucky with the guests, there were some very loud guests when we were there but they seemed to make the most noise at 7am for some weird reason. Cairns doesn’t have much to offer mid range to cheap end that is decent unless you opt to pay a lot so this hotel is a no brainer really for value and comfort.

PPengguna TetamuThe location is excellent, with spectacular views of the ocean - if you had an Oceanview room. I didn’t originally because my travel agent messed up. But the manager, Richard, was super helpful and was able to give me one after some work on his part. My room was spacious, clean, and had a great view on the top floor. The housekeeping was very good (they promptly replaced a worn out chair), the laundry was prompt, the premises were clean and quiet, and they had a full buffet breakfast. The best part for me was the air conditioning, which kept the room cool even when it was 94 F outside. Also, the location was less than a km from grocers and about a km from some nice restaurants on the Esplanade. So the hotel suited me perfectly.

LLinda E Address: 331-337 Lake St, Cairns City QLD 4870 Phone: (07) 4041 6605 If you are unfortunate enough to be allocated this unit there are things you should be advised The Edge Apartments Cairns is situated in Cairns only 220 yards from the Northen end of the Esplanade and the Coral Sea. It has 2 outdoor pools and spacious air-conditioned apartments. COMMENT In June 2023 We found our apartment 205 for 10 days to NOTt to be of 4star standard at all. PRO: The bedlinen and bathroom towels were very clean and of good quality. The air conditioning worked. The ceiling fans worked. The apartment was spacious. The fridge worked but bottom of door shelving missing. Inconvenient if you wanted to store water bottles etc. CONS: ” Each unit at the Edge has a flat-screen TV”., which was NOT working and had to be re-connected by guest. “Free Wi-Fi” NOT available in unit 205 – we were informed by office unless you wanted to stand outside of office area to connect. Apartment was dark, - lighting in all rooms inadequate and woefully dim and outdated. Lighting in laundry area was badly positioned – and here there were no instructions on how machine worked. *Vertical Blinds in poor state and need maintenance or replacement. *All doors (screen and glass sliding) need maintenance to run smoothly. *The furniture was inappropriate (apart from 2 leather sofas) and badly arranged. *The ambience was noisy. The decor throughout the apartment – wasn’t.!! Except 2 pictures hung almost at ceiling. – 1 small mirror in dark hallway., and a wall clock. (All 15 years or more in age) *No rugs or furnishings to soften the décor or the echo sounding throughout the apartment. *Coffee table in bad state. *Dining table satisfactory but serviced by 2 different types of chairs. *The bathroom needed maintenance/upgrade (and pictures I have taken show much damage to outer base of shower, mould along the wall.) *The kitchens come equipped with very basic essentials. A microwave and dishwasher., utensils for cooking on very old worn stove. “Some units have balconies with sea or mountain views”, others, like ours, at 205 had overgrown foliage with NO views. The Edge Apartments Cairns has an outdoor entertainment area with barbecue facilities and free on-site private parking. *The Rain forestation Nature Park is 11 miles from The Edge Apartments. Kuranda Scenic Railway and Skyrail Rainforest Cableway are only a 10-minute drive away.

PPengguna TetamuOmg staying at this hostel was equally parts traumatic and entertaining. The best way to describe it is imagine if a problematic 60 year old man opened a hostel with a nightclub underneath, and all the social activities were designed with other problematic 60 year old men in mind. They don't seem to do any sort of gender balancing in the mixed dorm, one girl checked into my room in the middle of the night, because she was put in a mixed dorms with only men over 50. The social activities are old fashioned but not in a good way, I'm talking wet t shirt contests, pole dancing competitions, jelly wrestling. But honestly this hostel gave most of the girls staying here the ick so we ended up having movie nights on the girls floor, going to the market and Esplanade together and to the free gym. I actually had a good time, ironically. The facilities at this hostel are really good to be fair, the dorms were clean, they all had air conditioning and balconies (unfortunately you are not able to control the temperature of the air conditioning or turn it off when it is cold outside), they had large well equipped kitchens, a pool and a free gym. Even the nightclub was a good venue, but the social activities are like something out of the Wolf Of Wall Street. If they are going to be a sleazy venue they could at least hire Magic Mike dancers. But honestly they just need to get a new entertainment manager and this place would be fine. Location is alright, about a twenty minute walk to the Esplanade.

I recently experienced the buffet breakfast during a morning meeting at The Lobby. The restaurant is very welcoming, service was perfect, and the food was amazing. I highly recommend the breakfast and I am looking forward to experiencing this again soon!!

PPengguna TetamuThe photos provided by the operators are extremely deceptive. The accomodation is old and run down. The shower tiles were painted at some stage, and it is now peeling off both the floor and the walls. The “updated” vanity basin and tap are poorly sizes and you are unable to fully wash your face due to the shape and size of the basin with a shorter necked faucet . There is no complete enclosure for water in the shower resulting in you flooding the bathroom each time you shower- we ended up using the common showers in the passageway to attempt keep our room dry. The toilet paper is only single ply so bring your own if you decide to stay here !! Our towels and sheets had stains on them and the pillows are flat and lumpy. I wouldn’t swim in the pool unless you’ve had your latest tetanus shots. We were followed back to the accommodation by a slightly hostile homeless person one night which was slightly unnerving for our teenage daughters. The nicest part of this accommodation is the outdoor BBQ area. The breakfast provided smelt ok, but we decided to eat at the cafe at the marina each day as we were heading out to the reef and islands anyways. We decided to stay here and save money as generally we are out during the day and only need a comfortable bed and a clean shower- next time we will be going back to our regular accommodation closer to the Esplanade. I

BBowaterI stayed at Hotel Tropiq in mid-October 2023 and had a good stay. Positives - great location with nearby cafe, Indian restaurant, and British restaurant. Only a $20 taxi to the Pier/Marina or 20 minute walk into the city. The reception staff were super friendly/helpful. Pleasingly, the room perfectly suited my solo fishing trip too. Negatives - Hotel Tropiq was very basic/ghetto with a peculiar room layout. The beds were on rollers and hard to sleep on. Windows and sliding door were very dodgy. No insect screens on one window! It was certainly a budget style of accommodation. In future, I will stay somewhere nicer if my girlfriend joins me

From the time I entered, friendly and welcoming. Quick well organised checkin. The information provide was helpful amd clear. Ample parking off street. The hotel itself is very close to Private hospital, city centre and great coffee shop. The room was spaciouse, very clean and very well maintained. A relaxing stay.

PPengguna TetamuWe stayed here for 2 nights separately due to our first hotel having issues. They were extremely accommodating so we decided to book with them again. Great rooms, nice bathroom, and great air-conditioning and fan. Made for a good night's sleep

PPengguna TetamuThis Motel was disgusting.It just smelt of cigarette smoke and a bottle of bleach.But the room was still dirty.The door did not lock properly.The shower had dirty shoe marks in it the fridge did not work and my food was spoiled.The bed was like a brick so uncomfortable and I only sat on it.I rang to get help with the fridge and they were not helpful at all.I had to move and spend more money on a motel.And still 2 wks later the manager won’t return my phone calls or emails will not refund my money.Highly recommend you never stay at this motel is absolutely disgusting.The fridge had mould in it.
