Hotel 4 bintang Cala d＇Or yang Popular

The staff are excellent. We have only good things to day about the team we saw, especially given the number of complaints they seemed to be dealing with. I am concerned about the management of the hotel though. Basic things, like the ongoing smell of sewage, should be an urgent priority. This is obviously known and ongoing problem from speaking to other guests and from the reviews. Even the receptionists admitted it. Guests should not be made to suffer that, even free of charge. A technician was sent whenever we complained about the smell in our room, and another (unsuitable) room was made available (only after day 2 ) This issue needs addressing properly, as a health and safety priority. There appeared to be an overflowing manhole cover at the back of the indoor pool on our first day with effluent water flowing along the path. The area was taped off and that pool was closed for a couple of days, but we avoided it afterwards as it is below the level of the drain. Another example was the lack of electrical power points in the kitchen area (and the one that is available was next to the sink - I was not going to risk plugging the kettle or toaster!). I cannot believe that this is acceptable in EU safety standards. The entertainment was ok, but every other night it was pretty good with some professional acts. The bar staff were very efficient. The rooms and linen were clean - but that should always be a given. Thanks again to the frontline staff for your efforts, but the management need to spend some of the money they take off customers to update the hotel and to reduce the number of angry customers you have to face.

I cannot rate this hotel highly enough, from the moment we stepped through the doors our stay was faultless, the hotel is scrupulously clean and smells beautiful, the staff cannot do enough for you and are so friendly and helpful, our rooms were cleaned to a very high standard every day, the food was one of the best experiences as far as an all inclusive goes, an amazing breakfast with lots to choose from, and different meat and fish choices every lunchtime and evening, the salad bar is extensive and well stocked, all dishes are labelled clearly, piping hot and refreshed constantly, while we were there the restaurant was host to a large Spanish family for a Birthday celebration to which the chef enjoyed a standing ovation, As guests at the hotel we joined in as it was great fun, the entertainment in the evening was very good and the acts were of a high standard, in the daytime there was a choice to join in aqua aerobics in the pool, volleyball or just enjoy the happy environment, we will definitely be back to this hotel and are really looking forward to returning next year, all the staff were exemplary and I cant speak highly enough of them but we would like to give a special shout out to Dario and Simon behind the bar who were always cheerful, chatty and always made sure your next drink was lined up, thanks guys for a fabulous Holiday

We had a room on the second floor ( garden view ) as Jet2 wanted a considerable amount more for a sea view room . Garden view overlooks the road , it is generally a very nice quiet road BUT as a light sleeper , I was disturbed 3 nights on the run by local ( I assume ) teenagers being dropped off , with their own car disco going on , one night at 3 am , the next at 5am , this was completely out of the Hotels control but we did ask to move rooms , but were told this was not possible as the hotel was full . Fair enough . The hotel itself, the location is stunning , literally steps to the beach accessed through the hotel by a security coded gate . The hotel is very clean , it’s an older hotel but has lots of charm to it . The pool area is lovely and the bar and breakfast terrace areas over looking the beach can not be beaten . Breakfast was delicious , with lots of choice , lots of healthy choices …… apart from the cakes , which I did try not to have , but they were so delicious , I couldn’t help myself !!! Staff at breakfast work really hard , they are clearly extremely busy at all times but always polite . The night receptionist man was just lovely , always had a little chat , just a very nice man ! The centre of Cala Dor is minutes away , the marina 10 minutes on a slow walk , the location of this hotel is perfect . The beach next to the hotel is the prettiest , there is a beach bar with a lovely vibe in the evening underneath the hotel ( closed at 11pm ) . Rooms are ok , small but ok , in my opinion not 4 star . But this will be more important to you if you spend time in your room , we didn’t much , cleaned daily , beds made etc , no kettles in room ( charge if you want one which is a bit off ) . Would I stay again , absolutely

We had a great time at the resort, the service was good, plenty of food options, amazing views… all you can ask for. Small rooms but comfortable, enough to sleep and enjoy the holidays at the resort. A nightclub really close to the hotel so when the bar is shut we just head out for a dance. We really recommend it and we’ll come back next year!!!

Visited an Alua hotel in Minorca 2 years ago so knew the chain was good. Stunning location, rooms very spacious, we got lucky getting 2 sea view rooms overlooking adults pool in A block, views fabulous. Unlike some reviews, couldn't fault the food and drinks (red wine ) or the air con in the rooms. Yes it's the older ”in the wall” type as opposed to units attached to the wall but still did the job required. Housekeeping spot on, and reception staff all friendly and helpful. Learning the basic holiday phrases helps build a rapport with staff, which in my experience results in good service. A little effort goes a long way. Do have to agree with comments that water in bathrooms is a bit salty, but you wash in it not drink it so no dramas, however the water dispensers in lobby and pool bars did have a strange taste, but spar shop was only 3 mins walk away. Cala egos commercial area a further 3 mins, and cala egos beach another 10 minutes. Closest beach, es Pou a 5 minute walk, and marina another 15 beyond this. Unfortunately an electrical problem meant no water or air con for around 5 hours one evening but thankfully this was sorted by 11pm but this wouldn't stop me recommending the hotel

超值的酒店，包含早餐和晚餐，都是自助，很好吃！房間內很乾凈，選了面朝大海的房間，每天都在海上日出的美景中醒來，一天心情都很好。酒店有自己的四個游泳池，其中一個就在海岸巖石邊上，下海游泳和上岸休息都特別方便。晚上酒店還有酒吧駐唱，氛圍很好。而且這家酒店衹有16歲以上才可以住，所以所有休閑區都很安靜，沒有小孩吵鬧。加上我們十月末去的，已經是旅遊季接近尾聲了，所以人不多，去哪兒都不擁擠。

Just got home today from an amazing stay at this hotel. We were originally supposed to be going to Greece but due to unforeseen circumstances we have to change our holiday to travel sooner, and cut it short. And that’s where this gem came in! It was booked as a package with jet2 (on the Thursday lunchtime, due to fly out Friday morning..!), friends had been to Cala D’Or before so I knew it was a nice area but I didn’t have time to research hotels/amenities nearby etc before we came. We were greeted with a glass of cava each as soon as stepped into reception. Check in was simple and quick and we were shown to our room (a hipico bungalow) which was amazing. The grounds of the hotel are spotless, the staff can’t do enough for you either they’re all so welcoming! We ate breakfast in the hotel which was always a fantastic selection, and enjoyed a couple of cocktails and lunch one day from the pool bar, which were brought to your sun loungers. The pool area was lovely, we never ever had an issue getting a bed, there were always plenty available. The location is second to none, 5 mins to the marina, 5 mins to the nearest beach, 2 mins to the main area of restaurants and bars etc. I really wish our stay was longer than 3 nights but unfortunately we had to return to England then. I would 100% return to this hotel, I’ve been blown away by the experience here and will miss it very much!

We had a great time staying at this hotel. Late check-in was available so gave us flexibility when our flight was delayed and had to arrive in the middle to the night. The breakfast was great with plenty of options. Thanks for the birthday gift also - that was very sweet of you :)
