This is a very solid hotel in a great area for walking on the ocean at the promenade. It’s in an area called Seapoint and there’s lots of restaurants as well. The rooms are large with very comfortable beds, King,. We have a balcony with a view of the ocean, my favorite part is the superb breakfast and excellent coffee. They serve in the lobby. You really cannot go wrong here extremely happy. It was part of a tour by Gate1. finally, I’m always surprised when reviewers talk about the staff however, everyone at this hotel was so kind and friendly. There’s also an attached steakhouse which we would recommend for snacks. It’s kind of like the US diner experience.

The Villa Rosa is a cozy, classic bed and breakfast hotel with friendly service. It's in a quiet location just a few blocks from the spectacular Seaside ocean promenade and a handful of nice restaurants. It's not as close to all the central sights but they are a short ride away and the Villa Rosa's quiet location offers a respite from the busy center. The breakfasts were great as well. I would happily stay there on future visits to Cape Town.

Having travelled extensively and stayed in numerous hotels worldwide, I can confidently state that my recent experience was the worst ever. Despite seeing several negative reviews about their service, I thought they were just occasional lapses. However, I soon discovered that the hotel had a persistent service problem. I had a problem with my reservation and spent two days trying to resolve it, but no one cared. To make matters worse, I was charged ten times the amount I had originally paid for the same room (i.e., $300 instead of $30) without any reasonable explanation. When I questioned this, the staff merely shrugged it off, citing fluctuating prices as the reason. The lady in charge of reservations was extremely rude and disrespectful throughout the ordeal. In addition to the issues with my reservation and the exorbitant charges, the air conditioner was not working properly and made a lot of noise. Furthermore, the fridge in my room made a huge noise, which disturbed my sleep at 2 am (I recorded a video as proof). Moreover, the noise levels in the dormitory were unacceptable all the night! making it impossible to get a good night's sleep. In short, I urge anyone considering staying at this hotel to think twice and look for other options.

I stayed at the aparthotel for the second time and found its location convenient and my stay comfortable. However, the building alarm repeatedly disturbed my sleep during the early hours of the morning, and the pillows were not comfortable, making my stay less pleasant this time. If these issues are fixed, I would definitely come back to stay again.

Room and especially the bathroom were small but adequate for a few nights. Breakfast in the attached restaurant was good with many options and an omelet station. There is a market that sets up every day in the square directly across from the hotel, however, this was not an issue. Our room did not overlook the square but overlooked rooftops. The bottom half of the window was frosted to block the rooftops. The rooftop pool and pool area is small. The location is the best reason to stay here. With your back to the market, walk down Longmarket or Shortmarket street to catch the Hop on Hop Off bus on Long street or continue to Bree Street for restaurant options including Hacienda (Mexican obviously), Burger & Lobster (limited but excellent menu and great bar). SCAM One evening, when we were heading to Bree Street, we were stopped by a gentleman with a security lanyard telling us the street ahead was closed because they were filming a movie. We could pass if we scanned a credit card into a wall mounted device. No charge but they need our names to protect the filming equipment. We declined and went up another street to the restaurant. Road not blocked, no filming equipment. We were glad we were suspicious. Amazing how you could be duped by a security lanyard.

Overall a good experience at the hotel. Was greeted promptly by a staff member. Got a good room on the highest floor and the hotel was smelling of Indian spices (what a great way to start off). It was the slow season so two of the three elevators were operating. Did not wait that long. The rooms were small. Would recommend only staying about three nights. Great for people traveling business. Breakfast was good and had good seats. Wasn't crowded and did not need to come at a specific time. Laptop vault worked. The adapters did not. Luckily I got some Euro plugs which actually worked in the bathroom area (no where else). There is a USB port by the bed but those are not that quick. Wifi was good in the room but not that good in the lobby. I slept comfortably and it was quiet. Easy to get Uber. Would stay again (if I am on a short business trip). Tip: Do not exchange money at the lobby UNLESS it is an emergency. Also, know where you go and do not look lost.

The hotel is very well placed to visit the Waterfront. Parking is safe and secure. Our room was a bit noisy ie we could hear the other guests. Breakfast buffet was one of the best I have seen in any hotel. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Our car was valet parked for us.

This is a very nice (new) hotel close to the downtown and Waterfront area. A twenty minute walk to either location (not an easy walk) - they do have canal water taxi service available to take you to the waterfront. Definitely worth the experience. The breakfast service is delightful but can get crowded at times due to their catering of large tour groups. Rooms are nice, AC unit works very well, showers hot, tv selection extensive, and service awesome. Recommend for those looking for a very nice hotel at a reasonable rate. One downfall to the hotel / location is that is bucks up to the container / shipping area so when vessels come in you will hear a lot of container unloading noise at night. Ask for an ”even” numbered room so you are on the opposite side and you get a view of Table Mountain

Upgraded to a Loft suite. Excellent (once the air conditioner unit was explained). Staff great. Housekeeping a bit too eager. On site restaurant Liberty's seems slow and disorganized, even for South Africa and especially for a Hilton's. Free shuttle to V&A Waterfront every two hours. Walking distance to the Old Biscuit Mill (a Saturday morning must-do). Regular and reliable taxi service around Cape Town at reasonable rates, for drop off and pickup. Airport shuttle. Neighborhood was very safe Don't pre-book tours before you get here; Yasir and his team will take good care of you.

PPengguna TetamuI've stayed there a few nights, and return again & again; even contemplating a long stay. The place is clean; the communal kitchen & lounge area is inviting, the in-house pub & adjoining balcony is cosy and gives the feel of a private party, above the bustle of Long Street below. Communal bathrooms are OK, kept clean. I love the many nooks & turns & corners of the old house and the creaking wooden floors. But the guests are what make the place feel like a home away from home -- an eclectic mix of local & foreign visitors passing through the city. There's a feeling & atmosphere of being in a backpackers in a foreign city, somewhere abroad, making one feel as if one is on holiday, somewhere away from home. I love this place! It's become my accommodation of first choice, for a party night or two in the city.

Schöne große Zimmer, mit 2 großen bequemen Betten, sogar ein Fenster kann man ein wenig öffnen (ein sehr großes Plus), sodass man die Klimaanlage nicht unbedingt einschalten muss. Großes Badezimmer, extra WC, extra Dusche, Bademäntel und Badeschlapfen ebenfalls vorhanden. Kaffeemaschine und Wasserkocher vorhanden. Beim Frühstück hat es an nichts gefehlt, ganz toll. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, und aufmerksam, besonders beim Frühstück. Im gesamten Hotel Lobby- Bar- und Frühstücksbereich nicht zu stark unterkühlte Temperatur. Ein angenehmer Duft „White Tea“ strömt durchs ganze Haus. Ein kleiner Pool und ein größeres Hallenbad stehen zur Verfügung, beides aus Zeitmangel nicht genutzt. Zur Waterfront geht man ca 20 Minuten. Ein wunderbarer Aufenthalt, leider nur für 2 Nächte.

PPengguna TetamuWe stayed in this hotel for 5 nights in Capetown. The staff were nice but the room was average. Our family stayed at the 8th floor and we could hear the music and noise every night and it lasts until the next morning. There was no place to sit nor was there a table to write on. The worse thing for me was the bathroom. There was only a bath tub. No shower facility and no drain on the floor. It was difficult to take a quick shower because the whole bathroom floor would be full of water. It is also a challenge to step into and off the tub because it was too high and with the floor wet, it would be slippery. Hope they improve and provide better solutions to this problem.

RRobsThe apartment is spacious, clean and luxurious. Lovvvvvve the bathrooms. I had a very relaxing stay at the Residences at Crystal Hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was refreshing and had a wide selection of foods. The location is convenient, close to Canal Walk which we walked to often to buy whatever we needed to make our stay more enjoyable and visiting Hillsong Church opposite the road was an amazing experience.

EEddieOnTourWe stayed here for 3 nights, and it was the perfect hotel to finish our holiday in S. Africa. Staff were very friendly, and we had excellent service from everyone in the hotel. I needed to see a doctor and this was very quickly arranged by the hotel and the doctor was at the hotel within 20mins absolutely unbelievable. Our room was beautiful with a view over the ocean which was absolutely stunning. The rooms were beautifully appointed with the usual Nespresso machine kettle and some complimentary soft drinks and snacks. AC was excellent. Wi-Fi speed was OK but at peak hours slow. We loved our stay there and would definitely recommend paying extra for an ocean view room. Given our flight was not until 10pm we asked if we could get a late check-out to 6pm and this was not a problem and the additional cost was reasonable and this allowed our a very relaxing last day in Camps Bay. We would definitely come back

JJulian PeensThis bed and breakfast is in the ideal location to visit Simon’s town and its coastline however the actual set up of the bed and breakfast is a huge let down.
We arrived to find our room was not ready, once it was the place still looked unkempt, there was a bucket in the bath, the furniture had not been returned to its original locations well and the complimentary items seemed used.
On our second night there was load shedding a common occurrence however there seemed to be no precautionary measures taken and we had to use our phone lights to climb the three flights of stairs to our room only to find the rechargeable light (obviously for such occasions) had no batteries and was therefore useless. As South African citizens we fully understand the uncertainty of power but for the cost and normal clientele of this accommodation we really expected there to be more in place.
The meal times had been adjusted for the convenience of the staff who were on the premises compared to the welcome sheet details we received on arrival. The whole place seemed to be being run by support staff with no obvious manager on site for the three days we were there (we stayed over a weekend which I would assume to be a prime time)
There is about 4 parking sports in front of the building but they were not being used to their full potential and often we had to park a little further away.
Overall the location was the main positive. Considering the price we would have hoped to have better amenities and hope that the profile for this accommodation can be amended as there are no pools on the property unlike what the description had lead us to believe.
Luckily the charm of Simon’s town and the beaches made up for the serious lack of attention to detail and luxury you would assume a place this price and in this location would have.
3/10 would probably not go there again.
