Wow, what can I say Portakal Hotel was beyond any expectations we had. On arrival late in the evening we were greeted and shown to our room. Reception staff were super friendly and helpful throughout our stay, giving us directions and suggestions on what to do. Dalyan centre is just a short walk from the hotel, once you get to know your way around you can cut through to walk down a smaller road which runs along the river. The location of Portakal Hotel was perfect, off the beaten track right next to the river and small ferry. Breakfast was fantastic, with an option for every member of the family. Freshly cooked, and fresh fruit each morning too. We ventured to the bar on our first evening making friends not only with other holiday makers but also with Ram the bar man, again fantastic service, friendly and offered up advice on where to visit. We ended most evenings at the bar, cocktails were fantastic, service even better. We were most definitely welcomed and made to feel that nothing was too much trouble. Thank you for having us we will be sure to return.

We stayed at Konak Su for a week in September, it was lovely. The pool is large and clean, the breakfast was great, the staff are lovely (especially the guy who worked the bar). Its a quiet and relaxing hotel only a 10 minute walk from the main ***** and river. The rooms were fairly small but plenty of room for us as a couple, the beds were firm but comfortable and the bathroom was great with a large shower. There was a fridge in our room that didn't work which was a shame but we didn't really need it, and the wifi didn't work at all while we were there but we were told this was an issue with the wifi in the area. The air con in the rooms was fantastic (and free) however I think it would be helpful if the hotel provided a warm/thick blanket, as it was too cold with the air con on, but still too warm with the 'fan' mode on, and the blanket provided was very thin. It would have been perfect to sleep with the air con on but under thicker blanket/duvet on the bed. Another highlight was the animals, the owners dog Chico was lovely and the family of kittens/cats that frequented the hotel were adorable, we spent much of our time cuddling or playing with the kittens and we miss them dearly!

A lovely small hotel in Dalyan. We stayed as a family of three, 2 adults and a 14 year old. We had a family room which consisted of a main room with double bed and bathroom and a smaller anemic room with a single bed, wardrobe, dressing table and fridge. The aircon was great and had day and night functions meaning a comfortable climate at all times. The unit is in the main room so at night we needed to leave the door open to our son’s room, which was not a problem for us. The room was perfectly adequate in size for us 3 but maybe small for any more. There was plenty of wardrobe space for us, around 10-12 hangers. The room would benefit from adding hooks to the backs of all the doors which would increase a bit of hanging options for towels, pool clothes etc. The decor was traditional style and was spotlessly clean but, perhaps a little tired, the curtains and bathrooms could do with a little facelift but nothing that would put us off returning. The inclusion of a fridge was great for keeping water chilled. The balcony was tiny and unusable for sitting out as it housed the aircon vent making it supper hot but amazing for drying off clothes! It didn’t bother us to not sit out as we were hardly in the room anyway other than to sleep. Rooms cleaned daily and fresh towels every day as needed, beds made and changed every 3rd day. Pool was lovely and clean, a mix of salt and slightly chlorinated water which was lovely and a nice change to heavy chlorination so often found in holiday pools The pool area was well kept and clean, plenty of loungers around the pool and lots more behind the bar in a shaded area. A few umbrellas around the pool are needed as there was only one so if you wanted shade you had to sit away from the pool. Breakfast was plentiful with lots of options for fruit, cereal, eggs, cheese and yoghurt. The restaurant is lovely too and the moussaka was amazing!! The hotel arranged a nighttime boat trip and this was simply amazing! A definite highlight of our holiday and we were well looked after by Thomas 😊 Friendly staff and a shout out to Ozzy at the bar, that man never stops smiling or working! Such a great guy and helped make a lovely holiday even better. All in all the Turay is a great little hotel, it’s not luxury it’s basic but it’s basic done well, clean, tidy, friendly and great value for money.
