After seeing some negative reviews we did wonder have we booked the right hotel for our first visit to Barbados, well the hotel was fabulous. I can understand that some may find the rooms a little dated, but personally if they modernised, it would take away some of the charm and quaintness of the rooms. We had an ocean view room, and the view along the beach and out over the Caribbean Sea was fantastic. The staff at the hotel were outstanding, attentive, always pleasant, and helpful. We had tried to book some trips whilst there through the tour company but with no success, reception managed to get the same trips for a better price and on the days we wanted without any fuss, we then trusted them to arrange our car hire and once again they came up trumps. The hotel offers sun beds and chairs on the beach, with staff happy to put them wher you want and fetch a parasol. When we go back in the future we will definitely be staying at the Southern Palms Beach Club

This is our second visit after staying previously in March 23. We requested the ocean view room in the same area as last time. Stephen on reservations is really helpful, and he was able to sort us a great room exactly as we requested. This hotel has so many great things going for it, not least it's fabulous location . The gap is a few minutes' walk with some decent restaurants close by. The main bus route is within easy walking distance and 3.50 bbd$ on the bus will take you along the coast or to Bridgetown. This hotel has lovely staff from the hotel manager down. A special mention to Stephen, Jenny, and Corinne Thanks Guys

The most incredible location! Hotel is nestled right in the middle of an abundance of fabulous bars and restaurants. The area feels safe and everybody is friendly from street vendors to locals. The hotel does have a restaurant and the food is great but if you fancy a change try 'Crave' or 'Mimosa' just a few mins walk away. We also really loved 'Pure Ocean' and had a gorgeous meal but also took advantage of happy hour there in the afternoons. This is the next building along from the hotel so is accessible by the beach. The rooms were clean and had plenty of storage. The shower was powerful and easy to use and the towels were changed every day. Our room looked right out on to the smaller pool and the beach which was beautiful but I will say that being so close to the 'Chattel House' area meant that we were able to hear the live music until around midnight but this is no fault of the hotels. The staff at the hotel were incredible. Mekaela at the bar and restaurant was just so attentive and we really appreciated her and the other members of the team during our stay. Kelly, the general manager, made us feel so welcome along with all of the other members of staff. The beach is the absolute highlight here. Not one bit overcrowded, it is clean and well kept. The sand and sea looks like a postcard. We already can't wait to come back 🤍

It was a okay stay i ask front desk for the number for the spa where infinity on the beach use to be and she had a very nasty attitude but i found the contact the spa is blank canvas the spa a very nice intimate spa and very nice owner for anybody wanting a nice facial and massage blank canvas is very nice

Lovely hotel by the seafront and we got to swim with turtles. Staff were lovely. Great quality food. The rooms were spotless. The highlight was the free zumba class with Karen. The girl got some moves! Would definitely come back to this hotel.

This hotel is a delight. A few yards from your door and you're on the beautiful Dover beach, where there are plenty of sunbeds and chairs. Turtles can be seen swimming in the ocean and if you're lucky you can see them hatch on an evening. We had a garden room. Large and airy. Clean and comfortable. Yes it's a big tired in places but in some respects that's part of its charm. There are 2 pools. Not large but why would you need it when the sea is so close? They are cleaned daily. We found the staff were a delight and very friendly. Yes the service can be slow but compared to what? It's not fast food. It's cooked fresh, and It's the Carribbean. No rush ..... On the subject of food we enjoyed it immensely. They were super diligent when it came to allergens....

What a wonderful place been coming here for 20 years and it’s paradise set on the beach the staff are great and are friendly they remember me every year the rooms are adequate the beds are very comfortable the rooms are very clean the cleaners always have a little chat the food is good and the drinks are competitive the beer offers this year are excellent already booked for next year

This hotel on the beach is exactly what you expect from a Caribbean holiday, relaxed atmosphere, staff that attend to your every need, white sandy beach, palm trees , and beautiful weather. From check in to check out you are made to feel at home with a relaxed approach. The rooms, which are air conditioned are well equipped with ample lighting, bedding and space, the complimentary rum and come on arrival was a bonus 😊 The food was delicious the drinks where refreshing and the staff always greeted you with a smile and welcome. Can’t wait to return only next time for longer!!

I highly recommend Southern Palms. We had a holiday of a lifetime it was incredibly special. We booked to return May 2025 whilst still on holiday. The staff are amazing, views beautiful and happy hour cocktails amazing. Barbados will always have a very special place in our hearts, Southern Palms is our new favourite place to stay! The location on the Gap is perfect whilst being quiet. Counting down the days to return! Thank you to Kelly and her team xx
