Hotel 3 Bintang di Farnham

This hotel has been extended to form a large quadrangle with new three storey blocks. The room that we had everything one would need for a stay, but was on the top floor and there is no lift. Because of the layout of the hotel, noise from people congregating in the quadrangle is obtrusive. This was especially so our second day when a wedding was in progress. This event dominated the whole hotel and effectively meant that other guests could not enjoy the public part of the hotel. To make matters worse the event moved outside with a singer and mic which even though our room was the furthest away from the main part of the hotel was so loud that I could hear reception on the phone when I rang to complain. Apparently it is the hotel policy to allow such events to occur outside the hotel and with the noise from the singer, the cheering and shouting and children running around screaming and noise into the early hours by those lingering after the event had ended this ruined our stay. When we booked our stay, we were not informed of the wedding and were therefore not given the opportunity to change our minds and book elsewhere. Not acceptable.

I stayed in room 3 on the ground floor and I thought the experience as a whole was alright, gets the job done if that’s all you need. There were some things I thought were a bit strange however. The shower was the main thing, it was stuck on full power which was crazy fast. It also didn’t stay in place because it was so powerful and kept turning into the wall. When I had pointed it facing out, it would point to the window (which was in the shower) and begin to fill up the window sill. Additionally, the sliding door had broken and it was replaced with a flimsy shower curtain which Barry managed to cover the gap. The room was a little dark but other than that was fine. The bed was fine too. Dinner is room service or you can have it in the bar area if you’d like. There isn’t a restaurant however and the bar area isn’t incredibly suitable for a meal with a family, fine on my own though. The menu consisted of pub food and each item was between £11-15 for the majority. There is a pizza and alcohol deal for £15 which is what I had, which was fine. Breakfast was £11.75 I think and was a buffet in one of the service rooms and was pretty good. Overall I think my experience was pretty poor but the room was very clean and the staff were very helpful and polite

I spent a total of three days at the Hotel whilst on a work trip which included needing some time to do computer based work in the evenings. It turned out to be the perfect place to stay. A comfortable and quiet room with all the facilities you could ask for, a great breakfast with friendly staff and a kind of 'make yourself at home' feel about the place. I did not use the restaurant as I was working late but did enjoy pie and mash ordered from the bar area one evening, (along with a pint), and both went down a treat. There is a health spa there too so next time I will remember to pack my swim shorts. All in all it was an extremely pleasant stay and I saved money by booking through Trip.com too.

Very poor start after a long day of traveling we were hoping to put our feet up and chill out before the evening ahead but that wasn't possible. I have had the wrong hotel room before, different type etc but NEVER one that has not been cleaned ready for us when we went down to tell them what happened they though we were lying and didn't believe us!!! They couldn't do anything but apologies as they were fully booked and didn't even have the room sorted for a few hours later! Very very poor from premier inn never had this sort of service before with no offer of free drinks or food safe to say I won't be staying with them again!

We were visiting locally as my son is a chef and was working in the area. This was a really lovely location and a beautiful hotel, staff were very helpful and check-in was easy. We would recommend.
