From the moment we arrived to when we left we were very well looked after. On arrival we were greeted and offered complimentary drinks in an area near reception. We were then shown to our room, rather than being told which floor we were. Our bedroom was very large and the air conditioning was a bonus as it was very warm outside. We had a comfortable bed, nice touch staff coming in early evening to turn bedsheets down and putting water beside beds. Separate toilet/bathroom with two sinks and decent shower. Reception staff, sorry too many of you to mention, were really helpful, whether it be getting taxis, booking restaurants for us and where to go. Breakfast was brought to your table and there was plenty of it. Perhaps more hot food rather than just eggs in different forms? Star man for us was Alessandro. We met him on our first night, we were here for 5 nights, and no matter what time of day we saw him he always came up and chatted with us and is a really nice person. Overall this is one of the best hotels we have stayed in and is close to all main attractions in the city and only a short walk from train station. We will definitely return at some stage. My husband and I booked this hotel wanting to experience a 5 star boutique hotel in franzia vs the usual high-end commercial hotels. We ended up making several reservations in order to take advantage of staying in other parts of the country. Therefore we ended up with booking 2 separate reservations at Hotel Regency through our Platinum Amex. We booked the rooms with a flex cancellation, in case plans change. Later I added one extra night to one of our reservations, come to realize that I had made a mistake adding the one extra night stay because my husband had booked us elsewhere for an overnight at Luca. Our total stay was going to be for 6 nights and there was going to be one night that we wouldn’t be staying at the hotel and returning again for 2 additional nights. When I called Amex and explained the situation I was informed hat the additional night that I had booked fell under a new reservation and did not have the flex cancellation, Yet they thought that it shouldn’t be a problem canceling that one night when we were going to be there for 5 other days. When they contacted the hotel and explained the situation the hotel refused to work with Amex. Thinking perhaps if I called and explained maybe I would have better luck explaining the situation and yet again they were unwilling to refund us for just that one night. I explained to them that the remainder of our reservation was still covered under the flex cancellation policy and if they were unwilling to work with us then I felt compelled to cancel my entire reservation and give my business to a place that actually appreciates and values me as a client. And still they did not budge. Therefore I went ahead and cancelled my reservation and booked a room at The Four Seasons hotel where my experience has always been extremely satisfactory with them.

Grab an outside seat in front of the hotel, order a 45 - 55 Euro decent Tuscan bottle of red and sit back, enjoy the Florence City Centre ambience and the best Olives you will ever eat, plus crisps. They happen to be complimentary Olives, but money can buy no finer Olives anyhow. The staff are stylish, ultra professional and friendly. Technically you are sitting in the outside veranda of the Irene restaurant, of the Hotel Savoy, one of Ultra Hotelier Rocco Forte's properties. I have literally palatial historical holiday apartment nearby (please take that as not a brag but adult channelled childhood excitement that I got so luck, plus context for not staying) which means I have never needed to stay at Hotel Savoy, but I have come for breakfast with my wife and son...and also with friends and even alone. Breakfast was 45 Euro plus tip service charge per adult and my 3 year old was politely uncharged despite a healthy appetite from my plate. It is an excellent feast and the orange juice is excellent quality ..if you order from the kitchen (price included) you will not feel hungry until the evening. Staying at Hotel Savoy will usually put you back real money (think 1190 Euro a night for standard room in mid May 2024) but I have never heard a friend who stayed here do anything but praise the staff and rooms and food..with a sometimes guilty ”jeepers it cost a bit”. I have had maybe 4 dinners at the Restaurant Irene, all excellent in every way. The Hotel Savoy has the best (in my opinion) 5* hotel location in Florence, on the Piazza della Repubblica and every meal I have had there is 5*. Going back for breakfast on the 11th April and cannot wait. There is a small gym I've noted, and on a couple of occasions the lovely staff have allowed me to have lunch served in a large underground room that sometimes serves as a playroom, allowing my toddler free range as I have a relatively calm lunch, that experience alone is priceless and especially thoughtful towards a a non residential hotel guest Overall 5* in all ways I have experienced.

Location, location, location! Easy walk with luggage from the train station, and then you’re right in the heart of the action. With the air con not operating, the room was quite stuffy, but windows open so you can get fresh air. The lane way is quite loud at night, but again, you’re in the middle of the nightlife so it’s not a surprise. Simple, but lovely, breakfast buffet.

This is a lovely, clean hotel with good facilities and location and an excellent breakfast. It has a very traditional decor, with a modern bathroom. Our room was pleasant enough but the window faced a wall and had huge shutters which we couldn't open. Hence, there was hardly any natural light in the room. I also found the staff a bit unfriendly, especially at the reception desk. There was no greeting if you walked past, and they did seem slightly condescending - not the usual friendliness you would expect on a reception desk. The staff at breakfast were much nicer. I liked this hotel, but a little friendliness and a smile go a long way and would have enhanced our stay.

Fabulous location, friendly staff. Rooms appear clean, and the wifi is decent when you can connect. This place could be excellent, but the devil is in the details. The water temperatures (hot/cold) were reversed in the shower. There is no minibar, and the vending machine on the floor was indecipherable when it came to payment, rendering it useless. The elevators are slow and make grating noises when the doors open and are inadequate given the extremely high traffic in and out. The laundry service was good and on time. Breakfast was adequate at best. I may consider staying here again, but not at €300+/night.

Very good location only 10 minutes walk to the cathedral and Galleri Accademia. Very clean, quiet and cozy hotel. Nice breakfast and very friendly and service minded staff. A special thanks to Barbara who was so smiling, helpful and service minded! She fixed tickets and everything I asked for. Absolutely amazing service! I have been in Florence many times and Hotel Loggiano dei serviti will be my favorite hotel in Florence. Thank you so much from my whole group! Arrivederci 😍

This was an outstanding location . The apartments were spacious, clean and modern! Francesca Alfani was extremely accommodating, helpful and resourceful. We were a 15 minute walk to the train station and could see the duomo from our window! We visited the grocery store a lot and it was conveniently located two doors down.

After reading the many good reviews in *********** and at the same time the partly miserable reviews in Tripadvisor, I was curious what to expect. In short, we were very pleased. The 4th floor, the corridor, the kitchen located at the end of the corridor, as well as our room 424 were renovated a few years ago. The room has a shower with glass doors, which we consider a real comfort compared to a bathtub. In the bedroom we had a comfortable, modern double bed and a large sofa bed. Air conditioning, TV and fridge are also provided. The small lift, which is getting on in years, worked perfectly and without ****s. The receptionist and also the staff in the nearby hotel are very accommodating. When we arrived too early and the key was not ready, we were offered free drinks. There was also a pack of dark chocolate eggs in the room as a small welcome gift. The central location to the sights, the market and the restaurants is sensational. The hotel reception organised a taxi for our departure. Of course there is always room for improvement. The toilet seat fastening needs to be repaired. The bathroom curtains should be washed or replaced. The oversized coffee machine in the kitchen should be removed because it consumes a lot of energy and heats the whole corridor. It also makes quite a lot of noise, only gives lukewarm brew and there was no milk in it either. An instruction manual for the air conditioner would be desirable. A little tip: Type in the temperature on the remote control, switch off the air conditioner via remote control and then switch it on again so that the entered change is applied. However, these are minor issues that did not impair our stay.

Our travel agent booked us and our friends here for three nights in July. We LOVED the location, the air conditioned rooms, the lounge where we waited for the outside heat to cool down, and most of all we loved the wonderful staff members Silvia and Matilde, who went above and beyond to help us and were so friendly and welcoming (even offering us free wine and chips in the evening!). They did so much to assist us, can't say enough about them. Having said all that, this hotel is not for everyone. The elevator is tiny, as per many European buildings. The shower stalls are also tiny and not suitable for people who are more than average-sized. And accessing the hotel involves downloading an app that can be complicated to figure out (and of course, you need to be at least somewhat cell phone-savvy to be able to handle all of that. I'm fairly adept at apps but this one had me confused for quite a while). But if you're OK with these caveats, consider this hotel. It's budget friendly, clean and central!

Lovely historic B and B with amazing breakfast including yogurt and homemade cakes. Barbara is so friendly and helpful. Clean and very quiet. We stayed on top floor in a cozy room with view of Duomo. No elevator, so bring small carryons if you’re staying up top. This hotel is walkable to many sights including the Duomo, Uffizi, Ponte Vecchio, etc. Also walkable from train station. Thank you!
