We thoroughly enjoyed a delicious afternoon tea in a beautiful setting attended to by the friendly and informative Argyro who could not have done enough for us. Our room was lovely with an amazing view of the city. The time at the pool was fun and the two gentlemen working there (sorry did not get their names to give them a mention) were very welcoming and helpful. Our room service food (again delicious!!) was brought to us by Alex (and again friendly and welcoming) The breakfast the next day was perfect. There is a vast selection of breakfast options and something to suit everyone’s dietary requirements. We were welcomed to the lounge by Kiamha who was super friendly and accommodating. We cannot fault this stay. The staff do an excellent job and make everyone feel at home and we are already planning our next stay there. Bravo, Hilton Glasgow, and please keep up the good work 👍

We had an amazing stay here. The location is near the Exhibition Centre station. The continental breakfast was hearty and delicious. Love the scottish black pudding.

The upgrade to the hotel is very good. All staff professional & attentive. A special mention to the bar team & bar Head Chef. Rooms spotless & comfortable. Breakfast buffet style with a range of hot/cold choices. Breakfast area a little clinical & would prefer a freshly cooked breakfast. Good value hotel located near the buzzing Glasgow centre. We will definitely be returning, thank you.

Stayed here for 5nights while attending a conference at the SEC. Very friendly welcome at reception. Room was clean and tidy. Just one issue, someone had left some clothing in the drawer but housekeeping sorted this immediately. Ate in the restaurant twice with room service once. Food was lovely. Restaurant and bar staff were amazing. Very friendly and helpful. Nothing seemed too much trouble. Used the spa once and again it was very clean and tidy. Put off slightly by some younger lads messing around. My only real criticism would be the breakfast. The staff were great but the selection was poor. Only fresh fruit was a bowl of what looked like frozen berries because they were sat in liquid. No cold meats, cheese or fat free yoghurt. No hot chocolate option. Only egg choice was scrambled (due to the egg shortage according to the waiter, does that mean the scrambled eggs were powdered?). No haggis or black pudding either. What was available was tasty and did the job but as we were there for 5 days I would have liked a lighter breakfast option. Starbucks was fab. Easy access to the SEC and the station to get into town. Clean, tidy, friendly, helpful. I would definitely return.

Don't waste your money - book elsewhere! Regrettably, stayed here on a business trip. The room was absolutely filthy and had what seemed like years of dirt and lint under the bed including a dirty slipper, plastic packaging and even some loose change, which just shows how poor the cleaning is. I called up the night manager who was supposed to bring a TV remote , and they kindly gave the room a light hoover after I expressed my disgust at the filth , but it was still filthy around the corners. The bathroom tops had old hair stuck in the corners too. There were apparently no other rooms to move me to so by this time the choice was to ether stay in the dirt room or sleep in my car so I opted to stay. Additionally, the TV remote was missing, as was the night manager who was supposed to bring a TV remote to my room. - After about 30 minutes and a reminder from me that then remote was missing, making it impossible to view the TV, I was brought a remote from an entirely different TV which obviously didn't do the job on the TV in my room. At that point I gave up the idea of watching TV and went to sleep. It rained quite heavily on the night of my stay and sine the gutter directly outside my window was broken and blocked so the water as cascading into a large pool directly below my windows . Since the windows were missing some hardware, they didn't close properly so the noise of the rain and cascading water filled the room. After showing the morning manager the photos I had taken the previous evening of the filthy room and the video of the extremely noisy overflowing gutter during checkout, there was an apology but nothing more. I did have a follow up call from the manger a couple of weeks later when I requested a copy of the invoice and I've been offered an upgrade the next visit which will be NEVER. That experience cost me £126-00 with no offer of a partial or full refund. I've stayed in countless hotels over the past 20 years and the Macdonald Crutherland is by far the worst. Avoid it like the plague !

**Hotel Review: Good for a Short Stay** We stayed at this hotel for one night on January 2nd, and overall, it was a good option for our needs. The check-in process was smooth, and our room was clean and comfortable, making for a pleasant stay. However, things took a turn the following morning. On January 3rd, the hotel was incredibly busy during breakfast. We found ourselves queuing to get into the dining area, which wasn’t ideal, especially after a long night’s rest. Once inside, there were too many people crowded around the hot food stations and the toaster, making it difficult to serve ourselves efficiently. It was clear that the hotel could have managed this situation better. Perhaps they could have implemented a timed breakfast schedule or opened additional serving areas to accommodate the influx of guests. Despite this hiccup, I would still recommend the hotel for a short stay, especially if you plan to have breakfast at a quieter time. Just be prepared for a potential rush if you’re there during peak times!
