Hotel Playa Del Carmen dengan Gim

This was our second vacation trip to the Xcaret Mexico hotel. We really enjoyed the ”ALL fun inclusive” experience, with exclusive transportation and access to ALL Xcaret group parks. We were a family group of 5 rooms, with combination of adults, and adults/children in several of the rooms/suites. We had two concierge services representatives (K.C. and Laura), and they were very attentive and accommodating to our needs, requiring two suite changes to better suit our needs. They also helped us with the restaurants' and parks' reservations (for those which required it), and also with the wheel chair arrangements for my mother-in-law. The restaurants are big, and even though the hotel was fully occupied, we did not feel crowded or had to make lines to enter the restaurants. A most do is the Sunday brunch at the ”Las Cuevas” restaurant. Their meat and seafood offerings were way above what I was expecting, with even a Tuna processing experience made by the chef, ending in a delicious Tuna tartar appetizer. My wife is FULLY vegan (I am not), and we went to their vegan restaurant ”Bio”, and were able to taste almost ALL of their breakfast and lunch menu offerings, with every one having its own palate pleasing taste. Add to that their freshly pressed juices shots, and specialty frozen shakes. By the third day, Xiomara greeted us by our names, and waiter Edgar had known what we already tasted, and ”took care” of us. Kudos to both of them, for understanding and living a true ”costumer service”. This hotel is so well designed, that even there were live bands throughout the lobby and infinity pool areas, the volume was not overwhelming, and you can relax at another area, without it bothering you. Each restaurant had some special drinks, which you can enjoy, so make sure you ask the waiter for the ”special cocktail” of the day. We witnessed two ”destination weddings”, and the open area activities did no interfere with our time to enjoy the hotel amenities, so thank you for that. We even enjoyed another ”shot” of ”free” mariachi's songs while walking near them. On Sunday, we were able to enjoy catholic Sunday mass at the Xpiral chapel. All in all, my family and us had a blast, with ”not enough time” reviews from each and every one of them. We plan on coming back and visit some of the park attractions we did not have time to try, as well as enjoy again the amenities this hotel has to offer its guests. The weather was hot and humid, as it has been in every place in the world at this latitute. Be prepared and drink lots of water! ¡Muchas gracias por poner sus corazones al servicio de sus huéspedes! Kompleks besar dengan beberapa kolam dan pilihan tempat makan, walaupun beberapa kemudahan tidak tersedia kerana covid. Kakitangan yang biasanya membantu dan baik, seorang lelaki di penjaga pintu bukanlah yang terbaik tetapi pengurusnya hebat! Pantai ini mempunyai banyak ruang, tempat duduk dan kakitangan yang tersedia untuk perkhidmatan minuman. Secara keseluruhannya tempat yang bagus untuk menginap!

Service at reception/ lobby is fantastic, helpful and friendly. Also at the pool, staff tries to do their best as many people order and I think they need more staff to service everyone. However, at the restaurant ‘La cocina’ for breakfast as well as Dinner at the Sushi restaurant: service was pretty slow, even some dishes were forgotten and we had cancelled, some food arrived cold — needs to improve the table service. I didn’t appreciate that most of the weekly activities scheduled needed extra $. Need proper beach place to walk along. Is fun they have an arcade for extra entertainment.

Excelentes instalaciones y muy buena atención al huésped. En cuanto a limpieza tienen sillones de playa que están manchados . La comida excelente. Por el precio creo pueden dar un vino de mejor calidad sin necesidad de cobrarlo extra.

Main Point: Set expectations low for service and do not trust anything to be guaranteed regardless of what is advertised or written. Impressions review: my wife and I were super excited to visit this resort after the amazing reviews. The rooms, pools, and resort itself was good eye candy, and the food on the impressions side was delicious and significantly better than the Moxche side (which quite frankly isn't even worth eating). Unfortunately that's about where the pros end. The service leaves a lot to be desired. Multiple instances of resort staff simply forgetting a request or order (e.g. we ordered drinks at seaside for lunch and repeatedly reminded the waitress, and it never arrived). The list of benefits advertised is also not all true. Examples from my stay. Benefit: Twice daily refreshed in-suite mini-bar. Reality: room was only cleaned and not restocked for 3 days. Benefit: complimentary laundry service Reality: room was missing the laundry bag and form required to use this service. For the entire week's stay. Over a dozen requests and was never done. Benefit: Butler service Reality: sometimes useful but it's 3 butlers split between 100+ rooms. The attention to detail was lacking, and they got my dinner reservation wrong, causing us to nearly miss out on a meal altogether. The stay wasn't all bad and we did enjoy the food, the pools, and some of the activities. (So basically the non-service dependent aspects) Just be warned that 5 star luxury service (or rather any service really) is definitely not guaranteed. The management team also doesn't care much for service recovery so escalating any issues will usually be met with disgruntled staff who probably won't be able to resolve anything anyways.

This new hotel is in a great location, within walking distance to 5th Street, the beaches, and the local community. A+ for location! There is also a beautiful and expansive supermarket right under the hotel to get whatever culinary needs you require. We were upgraded to a balcony room as Bonvoy Titanium,.The price point of the Aloft was also a value, and it is a good bargain in using Marriott Bonvoy points. Javier that checked us in was lovely and gracious, and all staff were pleasant and professional. Aloft is an unusual hotel--one that wants to be a wanna-be hip W Hotel and also a Fairfield Inn for Gen Z'ers. It didn't do either very well, unfortunately. The staff wanted to do well, and perhaps there are still newly opened growing pains that will be worked out. Housekeeping was promised daily, but on 3 out of the 5 days we had to call Housekeeping after returning from the day;'s activities to service the room (which they did right away when called) but this was a big fail. The purified water dispenser in the nice gym was often empty. And generally the upkeep of the hotel is not or was not a priority. It's nice and new and ”hip looking” but metal surfaces and walls by the pool on the 4th floor are rusting already, and little bits of trash on the hallway carpeting remained for the 5 days which showed they didn't vacuum the common areas as often as should be. Room A/C and common area A./C were great! 4th floor pool has city and sea views in the distance and we could often see Cozumel and the cruise ships anchored there in the far distance on most days. I wanted the stay to be great, but it was good.

My experience was not very positive, mainly because of the staff at the reception desk, They charged me twice for my stay even though I showed them that I already paid online, they insisted that I pay again, before accessing the room and still didn’t receive the refund for that second paiement The room itself is really beautiful , clean and confortable ! They charged us for using some amenities, even though it was in open access and no notice indicated that this was a paying service, The breakfast is underwhelming to say the least, The place is close to the parks of Xplore and Xcaret you can either choose to go by walking (30 min) or take a taxi that will cost you 20 dollars for 7 min But it’s pretty far from the city Center of Playa del Carmen, you will need to take a taxi, it will cost at least 20 dollars, or you could walk for 40 min This hotel has a very high potentiel, if the reception desk staff would be friendlier, and more helpful, and if they could make a small improvement on the breakfast

We went there in Oct and had a great time with the family. My family was really impressed by the facilities and friendliness of the staff. The Sands staff was particularly exceptional. Kudos to Victor, Naara, Maggie and Roger for making the trip really inviting and hospitable. They loved the face painting and I loved the bike ride along the path. They also loved the spa/massage which they mentioned was heavenly. A few misses was that the unit we were staying at had some issues. Our TV was missing some functions, the pool was not heated, and the master en-suite had some issues with both shower heads (bath and shower). This took away from the experience as we had to call the service a few times in order to get the problem resolved and could not enjoy the heated pool for one day. I guess the age of some units are starting to show. A side note is that the restaurant prices are pretty expensive for what you get but to be expected for a hotel of this caliber. If you are looking for value for the money this might not be a good option for you. Overall we had a good experience, we have been to other 5 star hotels where the experience was better.
