We really enjoyed our four night stay at this hotel. This is far from a new hotel, but it has been renovated into great shape, and it gets plenty of traffic. We loved the location of the hotel and the views from our panoramic balcony room--fantastic scenery over Thunersee and the mountains beyond. The lake boat service (including the antique paddlewheeler) makes it a very interesting locale, as does the lakeside walking path. Room was nicely updated and furnished--slippers, in-room coffee, in-room mini-fridge, safe, ice available from the bar. No bathrobes, however. I highly recommend a balcony room here because of the dramatic views of the lake. Breakfast was hearty, but not adequately restocked later in the service period. Dinner at the restaurant was pricey, but that's typical in Switzerland. Free oudoor parking nearby. Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Two thumbs up for them!! I strongly recommend staying in the main Bellevue au Lac building. This hotel also offers rooms in an adjacent building, ”Stella del Lago by Bellevue au Lac”. At this time, I think this is an inferior property and still needs work. The Stella restaurant and terrace are currently closed, and its guests use the Bellevue au Lac restaurant facilities for breakfast and dinner.

Wir waren 2 Nächte im Hotel charmant mit viel Liebe zum Detail. Sehr netter Empfang, alle samt aufgestellt und freundlich ob Gastgeber/in oder Personal. Im Zimmer und Bad hat nichts gefehlt mit schönem Ausblick. Beim Frühstück gab es richtigen Kaffee (kein Filterkaffee) frische Gipfeli verschiedene Brote, Käse, Aufschnitt und wer möchte bekommt Rührei, Spiegelei etc. auch Joghurt frische Früchte es war von allem was da. 2 Min zu Fuss kommt man an den See zum Schiffsteg oder zum Verweilen hat es Liegeflächen und eine kleine feine Buvette. Lage ist super wir haben das Auto stehen gelassen. Vor dem Hotel ist die Bushaltestelle nach Thun in ein paar Minuten ist man im Zentrum oder nach Interlaken das dauert etwas länger (ca. 35-40 Min) ist aber schön alles dem See entlang. Wir waren bei Freunden eingeladen und kamen leider nicht in den Genuss vom Restaurant. Unsere Freunde kenne es und haben davon geschwärmt, auch zu empfehlen. Auf unserer nächsten Reise nach Thun kommen wir wieder und werden uns die Zeit nehmen im charmanten Restaurant uns verwöhnen zu lassen.

We loved the location of the hotel and the views from our panoramic balcony room--fantastic scenery over Thunersee and the mountains beyond. The lake boat service (including the antique paddlewheeler) makes it a very interesting locale, as does the lakeside walking path. Room was nicely updated and furnished--slippers, in-room coffee, in-room mini-fridge, safe, ice available from the bar. No bathrobes, however. I highly recommend a balcony room here because of the dramatic views of the lake. Breakfast was hearty, but not adequately restocked later in the service period. Dinner at the restaurant was pricey, but that's typical in Switzerland. Free oudoor parking nearby. Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Two thumbs up for them!! I strongly recommend staying in the main Bellevue au Lac building. This hotel also offers rooms in an adjacent building, ”Stella del Lago by Bellevue au Lac”. At this time, I think this is an inferior property and still needs work. The Stella restaurant and terrace are currently closed, and its guests use the Bellevue au Lac restaurant facilities for breakfast and dinner.

Wir waren 2 Nächte im Hotel charmant mit viel Liebe zum Detail. Sehr netter Empfang, alle samt aufgestellt und freundlich ob Gastgeber/in oder Personal. Im Zimmer und Bad hat nichts gefehlt mit schönem Ausblick. Beim Frühstück gab es richtigen Kaffee (kein Filterkaffee) frische Gipfeli verschiedene Brote, Käse, Aufschnitt und wer möchte bekommt Rührei, Spiegelei etc. auch Joghurt frische Früchte es war von allem was da. 2 Min zu Fuss kommt man an den See zum Schiffsteg oder zum Verweilen hat es Liegeflächen und eine kleine feine Buvette. Lage ist super wir haben das Auto stehen gelassen. Vor dem Hotel ist die Bushaltestelle nach Thun in ein paar Minuten ist man im Zentrum oder nach Interlaken das dauert etwas länger (ca. 35-40 Min) ist aber schön alles dem See entlang. Wir waren bei Freunden eingeladen und kamen leider nicht in den Genuss vom Restaurant. Unsere Freunde kenne es und haben davon geschwärmt, auch zu empfehlen. Auf unserer nächsten Reise nach Thun kommen wir wieder und werden uns die Zeit nehmen im charmanten Restaurant uns verwöhnen zu lassen.
