Hotel berhampiran Cedar Street Galleries, Honolulu

This was my first trip to Hawai’i. I have not been totally interested in going to Hawai’i because of the low value of our dollar. It was quite expensive to stay (minimum $240/night) and that’s a good deal. We got the kitchen in the suite and it was so much better (my wife loves to cook and is a world class chef). Eating out at 5star restaurants does not compare to her food. I total see the draw to Hawai’i, it is beautiful and the weather is so comfortable. We will be back many more times.

This resort is excellent with three swimming pool and a large Lagoom and only walking distance to the beach. You can find everything you need in this resort and there are ABC stores inside and we can buy all our souvenirs very easy. I will strongly recommend this hotel to my friend. Just one things that there is no bottle water provided and no boiling machine and you need to buy your bottle water on your own.

So....got a great rate on Travelzoo voucher for 4 nights. This hotel has been remodeled and is still in process of completing some work in common areas. Starbucks opened when I was there, and Monkeypod will open in the future. Staff was fabulous! No complaints there. I was able to check in early and got a partial ocean view on floor 11. Room was spotless. My only complaint, and it's a big one for me, is the soundproofing. I should say lack of it! Doors are HEAVY and each open and shut on the floor nearby is a shock to the sleeper. Also, the wind whistled and the band and traffic comes right in through slider to balcony. The band stops at 9, so that was no problem, and very nice. But....I hated the door slams and other interior noises. If you are a light sleeper, I don't think you will enjoy yourself. I wore ear plugs. Location is superb! It really can't be beat. Pool is OK. The jacuzzi was kind of icky. One being closed the entire time, the other kind of grey and the one attached to the pool generally full of kids. No jacuzzi for me. Towels and loungers were readily available. No problems there. We did have a problem at restaurant/ bar with what we think was bad turkey or mayo on a club. My grandson and I got sick within a couple hours. Unfortunately for the maintenance staff there was some cleaning up to do in the bathroom. The staff responded immediately and were so nice about it. I cannot thank them enough. However, when I reported this to the restaurant manager in the morning I was not totally happy with his response. All in all, I would stay there again for what I paid for it.

First time staying here but definitely won’t be the last. So many people we met who were staying at the hotel were regular guests over many years and it wasn’t difficult to see why. A perfect sanctuary in Waikiki - close to everything but a luxury escape when you want a little peace and quiet We had an Ocean Suite which was spacious and very well appointed, but what made our experience was the the staff. Without exception they were first class and so many had worked at the hotel for 20+ years which says a lot. Already dreaming about our next stay and we have only just arrived home.

Ocean front is nice. Bidet is really useful! But i think the room is kinda small. The location is great as you have a lot of chance to go for shopping!!!

是風景非常不錯的飯店，可能也是因為我在頂層的17層，又是轉角的房間，可以看到海和整座繁華的城市。 房間乾淨衛生，每天都有人來打掃，所以是不錯的，夏威夷是日本人比較多，一般日本人聚集的地方整體的服務都不會差，就會相對比較可靠。 如果再來夏威夷，當然是會繼續選擇這間飯店。

The White Sands was a quaint, comfortable hotel experience. The retro feel ,gave the Hawaiian experience and extra flare. Conveniently located in Waikiki next to shopping, bars and restaurants. Affordable pricing. All the team members were friendly but Kayla at the front desk gave the most exceptional service. We can’t wait for our next trip! Maholo!

Very pleased with our stay! Excellent location beachfront. Beautiful views of Diamond Head Crater. Super excellent location to be in the middle of all shops, beaches and restaurants . Short walks to explore & enjoy up and down the streets and beaches! All staff were very friendly, helpful and welcoming. Clean and well maintained. Great assistance with booking activities. My daughter took a surf lesson. Beachside conveniently had plenty of water activities to enjoy with an area to rent paddle boards , surf boards, floats, chairs & umbrellas. The restaurants inside the resort were excellent and convenient with outdoor seating and ocean views! ABC general store on lower level to shop for anything needed from drinks, snacks, beach towels, souvenirs, sunscreen etc…The resort also offers free activities that are on a schedule week by week, such as yoga, hula lessons, Lei & bracelet making, vow renewals & ukulele lessons! My 15yo daughter took a ukulele lesson, then shopped around and bought one to bring home!!! We have absolutely no complaints about our stay! Will absolutely be coming back in the future. Our flight home was a late evening flight & our check out time was 11:00am, so the bell hop service held our luggage for us so we could enjoy the rest of our last day on the beach. Then we decided to top off our last day to pamper ourselves with a spa treat, which is located on the top floor of the resort. I got a massage. My daughter got a facial. Afterwards we got to go to the outside roof top and enjoy the awesome view feeling refreshed & relaxed. I can go on and on about the positives of this vacation stay. There were no negative issues!

午前中にチェックインした際に、リゾートフィーとデポジットをカードで払ったのに、午後ルームキーを受け取りにフロントに行ったら、再度リゾートフィーとデポジットを請求されました。先程チェックインしたときに払ったと伝えても、払え払えの一点張り。私の分ではなくて夫の分だと。一部屋しか予約していないのに二人分なんておかしいと言っても、払え払えと。日本語がわかる人に電話を代わってもらって説明し、ようやくルームキーを渡してもらえが、どうしてそうなったのかの説明も、謝罪もなし。ふてくされた態度でルームキーを渡された。 そして、朝食付きのプランで予約したのに、案の定レストランで料金請求された。フロントがあの程度なら、まあそんなもんだろうと思っていたが。 明日のチェックアウト時に今度は何を請求されるか、恐ろしいです。 マリオットってそんなホテルだったんですか…。 ハワイは年一で毎年来ているが、マリオットは二度と泊まりません。 立地と設備は問題ないので非常に残念です。

- When i booked the room it stated bath/shower. When i contacted the hotel prior to the trip I asked if a note could be to say I request a bath tub as we have a baby. I was told it will depend non availability upon arrival. When i arrived I was told the room I booked does not have a bath option. This was frustrating. It would have been helpful to know this before hand as I would have considered other options. I then paid extra $20USD a day to upgrade to a room with a bath. The room I got was very nice with plenty of space. - Bed was too soft for my liking. - Pillows were those feather down pillows which weren't comfy as they kept flattening. - Great location just minutes walk from the beach and an ABC convenient store which would be the same for many of the hotels around. Did feel a little shady walking at night seeing some rough looking people at the corner of the street. But I guess that can't always be helped. - Food trucks near by were a bonus for night in (especially when travelling with a bub) - Peanut butter cookies were delish. I had one nearly every day.. lol - Complimentary water bottle and water filling station at the hotel is definitely a win! - Breakfast included was nice. Although quite basic, it was sufficient. Down side was it was majority outdoor seating. We had a few rainy and windy mornings which made it difficult to have breakfast there. - Poor drainage near the pool. When it rained there were huge puddles as we walked pass the pool to get to the breakfast area. - Lift wait time. Although warned by staff at check in, lifts took up to 10 minutes at times especially with the workman also using the lifts throughout the day.
