A hip and trendy boutique hotel with great service — the staff are attentive and friendly. The property has a lovely library and a community kitchen, which adds a warm, social touch. Since the hotel is very popular, it was fully booked when I stayed around New Year. Breakfast was separated into hour‑long time slots, and I chose the 9–10 a.m. slot — apparently the most popular one. The breakfast itself was nice, but unfortunately, the dining area was extremely crowded, and I couldn’t get a seat during my designated time. The queue was long, so I ended up taking a takeaway box and eating in my room, without any beverage. Although the space was packed, guests were generally polite and respectful — no pushing or food hoarding, which I truly appreciated. Still, the hotel should really consider expanding or reorganising the breakfast area, as the current setup feels quite inefficient.

If I could give more than 5 stars to XiuXi Anping, I absolutely would. From the moment I arrived, everything felt intentional and thoughtfully curated. The location in Anping is perfect—tucked away just enough to feel peaceful, yet still incredibly convenient for exploring the old streets, historical spots, and local food scene. It struck that rare balance between tranquility and accessibility. The space itself is stunning. Every detail—from the minimalist design to the warm lighting and carefully chosen decor—creates an atmosphere that feels both modern and deeply comforting. It’s the kind of place where you walk in and instantly feel at ease. Cleanliness was impeccable, and you can tell the hosts take real pride in maintaining such a high standard. What truly elevated the experience, though, was the hospitality. The hosts were exceptionally responsive, kind, and genuinely invested in making sure the stay was perfect. They didn’t just provide a place to stay—they created an experience. Thoughtful touches throughout the space made it feel personal rather than transactional. Waking up there was a highlight in itself. The calm ambiance, soft natural light, and quiet surroundings made it the perfect reset from a busy travel schedule. It felt less like accommodation and more like a carefully designed retreat. Honestly, XiuXi Anping set a new standard for what I look for when traveling. If you’re heading to Tainan and want somewhere that combines aesthetic, comfort, and heartfelt hospitality, this is it. I would return in a heartbeat.

We had a great stay at Kindness Day Hotel. The staff were very kind, and the private underground parking was a plus. We loved the free evening snacks, ice cream, and drink at the bar — a nice touch if you don’t want to stay in your room. Breakfast had plenty of options, and everything was well organized despite the crowds. The relaxed vibe and late check-out made it even better. Highly recommend for a stay in Tainan — would definitely book again!

Checking in@4pm, can leave luggage at lobby corner area. Location is top notch,next door is bedding shop, majority local eateries around opens around noon, for breakfast walk further up across main street Room is immaculately clean,plenty of local channels & 2English programmes available on TV, Japanese toilet is available in the double room Especially loves the AC as it’s not facing bed directly There is water dispenser on each level,for beverage/Tea sachets, guest need to get it at the pantry behind reception desk

Had a pleasant time in this hotel. Provided snacks and drinks daily. The male staff that was at the reception at night was very helpful in helping us call local shops and finding things. The breakfast was also delicious! Would return next time!

The hotel is old and it shows. There are many pools in the onsen area and guests are required to wear swimsuits and swimming caps. The rooms look like they have to renovated but all public area and pools are aged and cleanliness can be improved. The selection at breakfast is basic but it is fair for what we were charged. The receptionists at the front desk are very nice and helpful.

1. Centralized Aircon, aka if neighbour just happened to be smoking, the room might temporarily get some second hand smoke.There's window but I'm not sure how to open this kind, until I went to the next hotel haha. 2. Bedroom is big & spacious. Bed and quilt are fine. Slight sensitive skin irritation on day 1 then my skin has adapted to the bed. Has extra pillows that might be cleaner but I didn't use them. 3. Location is ok. Within 1km walking distance from many good local foods that are cheap and tasty. Free bicycle rental which can save some walking. 4. Bathroom is fine, quite big too. Mandatory to stand in the bathtub in order to use the shower head. Couldn't stick the pipe to only use shower head so did some temporary workaround. 5. Soundproof is not good, but didn't impact much except when a kid screamed and ran outside for God knows why. 6. An insect (or is it tw-cockroach version?) crawled out from a corner on my last day... I scared it then it ran back into hiding. 7. There's a water dispenser at the lobby (stage area), free snacks and tea bags. 8. Didn't want to keep towels in the wardrobe space with hanger or on the towel rack above toilet bowl, so can air dry in bathroom, as long it's not toooo heavy. 9. Door has double lock but no chain, so can use a hanger as workaround. Overall: there are a lot of workarounds that I can do, hence the stay was pretty pleasant. The price is definitely worth the stay.

Good location where few attractions are quite nearby especially 永乐市场 where several nice foods are available from morning to night. Net clothing shop is just few steps away. Paper slippers and water bottles are still available but need to take it at the check in counter. You can refill drinking water and take some snacks at 2nd floor.

it was so great and they were so kind and friendly to their guest and some of them can speak english fluently. i love staying at this hotel because its very convenient its very near in the tainan train station and so many convenience store outside. the best!

You get what you paid for. 16 minutes walk from the train station. Got a room without window so it's a little stuffy. The aircond temperature is centralized so you can only control to have stronger or weaker blast. The toilet ceiling is quite low so basically our head could almost reach the top. Made it feel a little small in space. But otherwise the room is fine.
