"The hotel just right by the main road. Easy to be founded. It was really disappointed to climb up to level 3 with our 30kg bags. The room was spacious for us with a nice view. The staff brought the drinks to our room and help to order some food. We bought different room for the next day. Unfortunately we were told that the room was in another building. So we cancelled the room since it was not stated in the details when we did the booking. Other than that we got nothing to complain about."

"I first heard about this place on Instagram and thought it was so beautiful. Its incredible structure is just as gorgeous when you see it in person. The staff were very accommodating and attentive. It was so cool because they had a machine that translates different languages depending on what you speak. This was the first time I’d ever seen anything like it and found it very helpful as I don’t speak Mandarin. Breakfast isn’t included but you can purchase their set meals for 37 yuan and have it while looking out at the beautiful courtyard. If you need train station transfer, you can easily ask for it for 80 yuan per way which made my check in and check out process smooth. They also allow you to try on their cultural costumes for free. If you need hair, makeup and photography services than it’s 499 yuan. As a solo traveler, I decided to try it out. They were very nice, however I definitely struggled with the very white makeup since I myself am very tanned. In their defense they did their best with trying to give me something darker and in the makeup room it seemed fine. But with the different lighting outside and the camera flash, when I got my pictures back I basically had a ghost face 😞 The foundation also wasn’t applied to my neck and arms, so it was very apparent. I’ve asked the photographer to help standardize my skin so hopefully that helps whenever it’s done. You receive a total of 9 retouches photos as part of the package. However, if you prefer to do your own makeup or are traveling with others then they can take pictures for you instead. The place is very convenient for finding restaurants and if you’re primary goal is the visit the old town. It’s very close by, so I was able to explore easily and then return to the hotel for breaks when needed. Lastly, you can use their laundry machines and get laundry pellets for free. Ideally this is great. But I will say the drying part is dreadful. The instructions say to do the 2/3 rule. However, even when I followed and put a small batch of clothes in it never dried. I tried once for 1.5 hours, then again for another hour, and still nothing. That was probably the only real part that was frustrating."

"I had an early morning flight from Kuala Lumpur to Kunming, followed by a morning train from Kunming to Dali, so obviously my energy was completely drained. However, the moment I arrived at this hotel on 27 May 2026, the warm welcome from the staff instantly made me feel better. They even allowed me to check in early so I could rest and kindly offered me breakfast too, which I truly appreciated after the long journey. The hotel is super strategically located inside Dali Old Town — very easy to find, surrounded by everything, and honestly super cute! My room was amazing and so comfortable that I had one of the deepest sleeps ever to recover from the exhaustion! Before leaving, I even gifted my Nike Air Force sneakers, which were still in good condition, to one of the hotel staff. Hopefully they fit him well! 😄 Totally recommended this hotel if you’re visiting Dali."

"We will be back! This felt like a home away from home, except it had such a wonderful view of the lake. The host was super friendly and helpful. The location was perfect, close to the railway station, which was very handy for us as we came over from Kunming and then went back. You're close to many of the central places and with DiDi taxi, it's super easy to get around from here. We will for sure book here again; we're already planning a visit back."

"Very nice hotel located in the Ancient City, which does not allow cars in until after midnight. This was no problem as the excellent service was able to help carry our luggage in and out. The rooftop garden has a beautiful view. The pool is not heated. The room is spacious with two patios but has an open plan bathroom which may not be suitable for those who need privacy. More towels for the children would be nice. The beds are very comfortable. There is a lovely tea set with nice local Pu’er tea in the room and some welcome rose cakes were provided for supper. Very clean and there is attention to small details throughout the hotel. Overall a very nice hotel in a very good location."

"⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Warm Hospitality and Beautiful Stay in Dali I had a wonderful stay at Dali Yuchuanshu Guanshan Inn (Dali Ancient City Branch) from 11–12 June 2026, and it exceeded my expectations. The inn has a charming atmosphere with tasteful décor that blends traditional style with modern comfort, creating a peaceful and relaxing environment. The room was clean, cozy, and well maintained, with comfortable bedding and everything I needed for a pleasant stay. The hosts were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making me feel at home from the moment I arrived. They were also happy to offer helpful local recommendations and assistance whenever needed. The location is excellent, situated close to Dali Ancient City, making it easy to explore the historic streets, cafés, shops, and local attractions on foot while still enjoying a quiet and restful night’s sleep. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would highly recommend this inn to anyone looking for a comfortable, authentic, and memorable experience in Dali. I would gladly stay here again on a future visit."

"Absolutely breathtaking hotel, the sunset view worth every penny! Stayed here two nights and we find ourselves always wanting to go back to hotel to enjoy staycation than exploring outside. So comfortable and service was good, people are so warm and friendly! The breakfast was good too plus the small thoughts of dessert at night is just lovely. Special mention to Xiaoxu who made sure everything goes well during our stay. We were very well taken care of! Highly recommend and looking forward to return again!"
