Hotel as advertised. If you like the proximity to both the ancient town and Shuanglang, the location is perfect. As it is a small establishment, the staff are very attentive and easy to reach via Weixin prior to check in. During our stay they had also proactively offered afternoon snacks, mid night sweet soup AND your breakfast preference the following day. The room is very spacous with 2 sides of the 'walls' replaced woth ceiling to floor glass. However, do be informed that the toilets and shower doors are transparent 🙈

This is probably one of the best hotels my family and I have stayed in. Not only was the location amazing (the hotel overlooks the Erhai and Cangshan, making breakfasts and any meals eaten extremely picturesque and peaceful) but the staff was incredibly kind, doing everything they could to ensure we were comfortable with our stay. On the day of our arrival, a staff came to pick us up from the taxi and carried our luggage to the hotel, making sure we wouldn't get lost. On our last day, another staff member took us to the bus station, carrying our bags and waiting until the bus came to pick us up. The hotel is located just off the main street, still next to the main shopping area, but allowing for a more quiet and peaceful environment. Everything about this hotel is beautiful, from the furniture to the rooms to the plants. We would highly recommend coming to this hotel, and we will definitely be staying here again. DALI HOTEL REVIEW — Excellent Base Near Dali Ancient Town **LOCATION & SURROUNDINGS** The hotel is perfectly positioned right next to Dali Ancient Town. Everything you need is within walking distance — restaurants, shops, local markets. No need for taxis to explore. The location is genuinely convenient and strategic. **ROOM QUALITY** The rooms are modern and spotlessly clean. Fresh, well-maintained, and comfortable. No complaints about maintenance or cleanliness standards. **AMENITIES & WELCOME** Upon arrival, the staff offers complimentary tea and pancakes — a thoughtful touch that makes the check-in experience feel personal and warm. Nice detail. **SLEEPING COMFORT** This is where the hotel excels. The mattress and pillows are high quality, and the room is very quiet. You actually sleep well here. After days of traveling and exploring, this is exactly what you need. **VIEWS** Beautiful mountain views, particularly of Cangshan Mountain. Waking up to this view is a real highlight of staying here. **STAFF** The staff are genuinely kind and helpful. Attentive service without being intrusive. And the dogs are so cute and kind ! **RECOMMENDATION** Excellent choice for a Dali stay. The combination of location, cleanliness, comfort, and thoughtful service makes this a solid option for anyone visiting Dali Ancient Town. Perfect for rest and recovery between explorations.

Cloudland Seaview Hotel is located just right facing Erhai on one of the stretches of the Ecological Corridor; the Seaview family room I reserved has a panoramic window with beautiful views of Erhai. There are many bicycles and electrical motorcycles for rent to cruise the Ecological Corridor just right outside the Hotel. Though cars are not allowed into the hotel due to the narrow alleys, but the hotel has Buggy that are able to ferry the patrons and luggages into the hotel, just need to arrange with the front desk before arrival. I'm truly impressed by the free flow of specialty coffees offered by Cloudland Seaview to their patrons, if you're a coffee lover, this is indeed a coffee paradise :) One suggestion is perhaps to prepare plant-based milk for customers whom are lactose intolerant or vegan. The room is tastefully decorated, spacious and clean, amenities are superb! A Set Breakfast is included with Rice noodles soup, yogurts with fresh fruits, soy milk & hard boiled egg. Last but not least, the staffs are incredibly friendly and very helpful! Kudos to the team! I'll definitely come back again the next time I visit Dali.

Beautiful villa with easy access to food street. We had a pleasant stay and a nice warm dip in the double bathtub. They even make us coffee when we requested in the morning.

I had an early morning flight from Kuala Lumpur to Kunming, followed by a morning train from Kunming to Dali, so obviously my energy was completely drained. However, the moment I arrived at this hotel on 27 May 2026, the warm welcome from the staff instantly made me feel better. They even allowed me to check in early so I could rest and kindly offered me breakfast too, which I truly appreciated after the long journey. The hotel is super strategically located inside Dali Old Town — very easy to find, surrounded by everything, and honestly super cute! My room was amazing and so comfortable that I had one of the deepest sleeps ever to recover from the exhaustion! Before leaving, I even gifted my Nike Air Force sneakers, which were still in good condition, to one of the hotel staff. Hopefully they fit him well! 😄 Totally recommended this hotel if you’re visiting Dali.

Firstly, the Manager Mr Wang was super helpful. As v r arriving late, he waited for us at the designated car park. Then he was there to help us with the luggage as the hotel was inside the Shuanglang old town. Hotel room was clean n bathroom came with a heater which was a blessing for the chilly weather. Morning breakfast was delicious, the food came in set on a tray. Beautiful set-up in the breakfast area with a amazing view of the lake. The exterior of the hotel was landscaped for gorgeous photography shots.

We had a very smooth experience from arrival to departure. The hotel organised a transfer from Dali Railway Station, which worked perfectly. Upon arrival, we were immediately helped with our luggage. Check-in was straightforward and worked without any issues for foreign guests. Basic English is spoken, which is fully sufficient for communication. The hotel itself is small and built in a beautiful traditional Chinese style, with a lot of wood and a charming inner courtyard with warm lighting in the evening. The rooms are duplex-style: a cosy living room downstairs and a rustic bedroom upstairs, plus a balcony with a lovely view of the surrounding mountain peaks. The design feels authentic and calm. Bathrooms are slightly lower in height, so guests above 1.80m might find them a bit tight. Cleanliness throughout the property is excellent. Despite the traditional architecture, all modern comforts are available: fast and stable internet, strong heating in both living room and bedroom (important in winter), and a generally very comfortable atmosphere. The location is near the Three Pagodas, just outside the main tourist development zone. You can walk to the first restaurants within minutes, and there is even a local restaurant directly next to the hotel. The Three Pagodas are within very easy walking distance, and from there you can conveniently use DiDi or rental scooters to reach other sights around Dali. Breakfast can be taken either in a small dining room or delivered to the room. It is local Chinese style, adapted to the region, very tasty and served with a smile. Great coffee is available. Checkout was simple, and the hotel arranged our return transfer as well. We even received a small souvenir gift per room, which was a very thoughtful touch. Overall, this hotel is a real highlight in Dali. It feels like stepping back in time, but without sacrificing modern comfort. It is ideal both for exploring the main attractions and for simply relaxing in a quiet, peaceful setting away from the busier city areas.

I booked a two-night stay here and had high expectations for my vacation. However, the first thing that happened was an extremely uncomfortable check-in. Two female staff members were incredibly unfriendly; the hotel had no elevator, and there was no luggage porter. One staff member even insisted we carry our large luggage ourselves because the hotel didn't have an elevator. The free hot pot meal was only for the broth; the side dishes had to be ordered separately. We booked four rooms, but when my friend couldn't eat the spicy broth and asked for a different broth, we were charged extra. The hallway lights are turned off after 10:30 PM, so if you're returning late, you'll have to use your phone's flashlight to find your way. The photography service was also unsatisfactory. We had four rooms, but only two were photographed. I requested that the photographer let me go first and the other person take photos later after changing clothes, but the photographer was unhappy and insisted on taking photos at the same time. The photographer, in particular, did not have a friendly or open attitude, nor the manner of a professional service provider. Breakfast was delicious and suited our taste, but the staff were somewhat negligent in their service. We ordered our main course first but were served later, or they forgot to include the side dishes. On check-out day, the hotel scored points with the extremely enthusiastic assistance from a young man in a blue jacket (29/4). The staff member in the blue jacket was very professional, coordinating everything and seemingly understanding that I wasn't entirely satisfied with the hotel. He coordinated everything, from carrying our luggage from the room to the lobby to taking it to the taxi, working with the photographer, and even offering us complimentary tea as an apology and thank you for our stay. Overall, aside from the issues that affected our mood on the first day, the hotel was quite comfortable and clean, worthy of a vacation (although a bit far from the city center). If the hotel can address these shortcomings, I think this will be a wonderful experience for us. Best regards.

Very nice owners and spacious room. We even got hot milk in the evening and plenty of drinks to stay hydrated and they helped us carry the suitcases. The room and hot tub itself is really nice, but the view shown on the booking itself is not the same as the real view. I attached a picture taken there to show you the real view. You can still see the pagoda, but note that it is hardly visibly in the dark (no lights on it) and there is an electricity cable in front of it, which makes the view less. For the rest the stay has been really nice and they did everything they could to make our stay pleasant, so I would really recommend it.
