Rumah itu terletak berhampiran Pintu Selatan 2, di dalam bandar purba. Berjalan keluar dari pintu, anda akan menemui jalan-jalan bandar purba, menjadikannya mudah untuk menerokai bandar, mencari makanan yang lazat dan mencari keperluan harian. Pemiliknya sangat ramah dan membantu. Apabila kami tiba di rumah tamu, dia bersedia membantu kami membawa bagasi kami ke tempat penginapan kami. Pemiliknya juga sangat baik, menyambut kami dengan senyuman setiap hari ketika kami pergi dan kembali. Walaupun cuaca agak tidak mesra hari ini, penginapan ini masih sangat menyeronokkan. I had an absolutely incredible stay here, it was easily the best hotel experience I've ever had. From the moment we arrived, we received such a warm and genuine welcome from the host and his family, making us feel right at home immediately. Our bedroom was impressively spacious and kept perfectly clean throughout our visit. The highlight, however, was the spectacular view; waking up to a panoramic vista of both the city and the lake was truly unforgettable. What really set this place apart was the exceptional hospitality. The host took care of us from the beginning until the very end of our stay, going above and beyond by even personally taking us to the bus stop when it was time to leave. 房間乾淨清爽，是十幾天旅途中住得最安逸的一個民宿了！就在洱海邊上，出門購物覓食也很方便！住這都不想走了！老闆娘全家都很熱情，淳樸！每天都有新鮮水果送我們吃！

This homestay feels like it is run by a friendly local aunty and her son, which gives the place a warm and personal touch. Check-in was easy and smooth. Do note that there is no escalator, so if you are carrying big luggage, it may be a little inconvenient. We stayed on the 3rd floor, but luckily the aunty’s son helped us carry our luggage up, which we really appreciated as we were all girls. The location is quite convenient as it is inside Dali Ancient Town. If taking Didi, you may need to get off near Luckin Coffee and walk in for around 3 minutes, since cars may not be able to stop right at the homestay. The room was clean, and the bed came with a heater, which was very useful. However, the room was quite small for 4 people, so it may feel a little tight if everyone has big luggage. But considering it is a budget stay, I think it is still acceptable and good value for the price. One bonus point is that they provide Yunnan-style scarves to borrow, so we didn’t need to buy one just for photos. The aunty was also very friendly and would greet us every night when we came back, sometimes asking about our day. It was sweet, though as introverts, we sometimes just wanted to quietly go back to our room after a long day. But this really depends on personal preference - some travellers may find it very warm and welcoming. Overall, it is a simple, clean and budget-friendly homestay with a good location and kind hosts. Suitable for travellers who don’t mind stairs and prefer a local, homely stay experience.

Beautiful area right by the lake. Yes, a disadvantage being remote from the city areas (not walkable), but if you want to enjoy the serenity of waking up right by the lake, this is a great choice! I loved how our first-floor room had a view of the lake - very close by! Also, you can see the sunrise from this side of the lake! Very peaceful in the mornings. We coordinated with the guesthouse via Wechat beforehand, and they even helped arrange a complimentary pickup with a driver from the train station (since we were staying 3 nights). Later, we also arranged a full day with the driver to drive down Haidong (east side) from Shuanglang ancient town and southward, which was worth it, since otherwise it'd be hard to get to those locations. Cars cannot come to the guesthouse area, so the guesthouse drove a little cart to pick us and our luggage up; they also helped us when we departed. Didi from this area (from a spot ~100-200m away) takes a bit of time for the drivers to come in, but not too long. The breakfast was lightly spicy mi xian noodles, served by some aunties, with condiments like pickled vegetables, also corn, hard-boiled eggs, and banana available. I would also recommend taking time to bike along the lake - it seems there's an option to rent one for 20RMB somewhere but I couldn't find the location. A more convenient option (good for shorter bike rides) are the many shared bikes that can be scanned along the lake. If you go northward by foot or bike along the lake, there are many other guesthouses and nice cafes (including some very popular, picture-perfect wang hong cafes), along with some green fields that are nice to check out. Behind the guesthouse is a small village area; we walked here and got a late lunch on one of the days, but there doesn't seem to be as many options. Traveled here with my mom, and we were quite satisfied. I feel that relaxing inside the hotel and nearby is already pretty nice. Great stay with helpful staff!

We had a wonderful stay at Happy Home Hotel. The hotel is conveniently located only 700 metres from Dali Railway Station. Although it is within walking distance, we chose to take a DiDi because we were travelling with luggage. If you’re heading from the hotel to the railway station, ask your DiDi driver to drop you off near the pedestrian bridge, as the station entrance is on Level 2. The bridge has a lift, making it much easier if you’re carrying luggage. For Muslim travellers, finding halal food is easy, with several halal restaurants located nearby. I was genuinely surprised by this hotel. From the outside and the lobby, which is quite small and dimly lit, I didn’t expect much, especially considering the affordable price. However, the room completely exceeded my expectations. It was modern, clean, comfortable, and equipped with a smart home system, allowing you to control the lights, curtains, television, and other room features with ease. The hotel owner was also incredibly kind, friendly, and helpful, making us feel very welcome throughout our stay. We can easily communicate with the owner through WeChat. One thing to note is that the hotel is quite far from Dali Ancient Town, taking around 50 minutes by car. Traffic in Dali can be quite heavy, especially during peak hours, so it’s worth planning your journey if you intend to visit the ancient town. The contrast between the simple lobby and the excellent room was remarkable. It was a very pleasant surprise and made our stay even more enjoyable. Overall, Happy Home Hotel offers outstanding value for money, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable stay near Dali Railway Station.

Excellent hostel, I really enjoyed my stay! Really nice and helpful staff with English-speakers. The buildings are in the traditional local style but with modern furnishings - stylish and cosy with nice common areas indoor and outdoor. Excellent location in the ancient town at the edge near the South Gate down an alleyway off a main pedestrian road area with lots of shops and restaurants. It took about an hour to get there by bus number 4 from Dali city railway station. It was about a ten minute walk from the bus stop with some cobblestone roads once you get to the ancient town which can be a bit rough with suitcases. The staff gave me suggestion for where to eat locally and sent details via WeChat. The hostel runs activities and does lunch and dinner for 20 yuan which you can sign up for and is a nice way to meet other guests. All the other guests were Chinese so there was a language barrier for me but we still had some nice chats through translator or if they spoke English. The female 8-bed room was nice and spacious with large windows and it was cleaned regularly. Beds were comfortable and you have to make them yourself. There are lockers which your key card opens. The toilet is open with glass sliding doors so you can hear noise, but it was clean and I liked the western style toilet and that the shower a sink and toilet were all separate for convenience. You can hear the music playing from the nearby shops on repeat for most of the day but it didn’t sound too bad and I got used to it. They offer earplugs and toothbrush at the front desk - I’m glad I had earplugs. There is a laundry area which is free to use with washing machines and washing powder and dryers and plenty of space to hang clothes. There’s also a cafe in the main lobby/common area and it’s a good place to do work with power sockets. And there’s free filtered water and a fridge you can use.  I’d definitely come back!

We rented the Garden Deluxe Room, with a mountain view. We find the description and pictures were accurately advertised, and the service was impeccable. We were very pleased with our rental, as it was private, clean and orderly. The hotel is conveniently located within the Dali Ancient Town, close to Biai Road and Renmin Road intersection (see picture of map). The morning and night views from the terrace were stunning. The Dali Ancient Town is as lively as you would imagine, with tons of food and shopping options. Our experience in Dali was awesome, with it's majestic mountains, beautiful lake, vibrant towns and peaceful villages. However, the best part of this stay was our interactions with the hotel owners, who are a lovely couple. They are good people - very kind, helpful and approachable. Although we had to use an English to Mandarin translation app for most of our conversations, they were patient and made recommendations that we really enjoyed. They helped us book a tour of Erhai Lake and we had a wonderful time sightseeing with the bus tour company (highly recommended if you don't know where to start exploring). We also took their scooter bike to explore the Three Pagodas on our own and drove around the lake afterwards. Please consider renting their scooter bike, as it was super fun and the price is very affordable. As language is a barrier for us, they not only helped us book our ride to Lijiang, but they also gave us a hotel recommendation, which their son runs. To us, they are very trustworthy, so we're sure we will have another pleasant stay in Lijiang. After all, it's not how clean the hotel is, or how beautiful the surroundings are, it's the people we meet along the way that makes it a wonderul trip experience. If there is another hotel rating for overall hotel experience, it would be a 10/5 for us. The owners definitely made our short stay very comfortable and our adventures amazing - thank you so much! We would definitely come back to this hotel if we are in this area again!
