"The hotel location is within the ancient town, with a slight walk from the main ancient town which is good so that you don’t hear the noise from the clubs/ pubs. The room is big enough for 2 big luggages to be opened. The view is really pretty from the breakfast place. The room is a bit dated, but good enough especially for the price. There is also heater in both the main room and also the toilet, so winter is much more comfortable. They also provide free photography service for people who stays with them. 5 free digital pictures, but that’s also a ‘bait’ to buy more photos. There is no pressure into buying the photos. So that’s really great. The photography service is really good, so we ended up buying all the edited photos. The only down side is the renovation of the building next to the hotel, the noise from the Reno starts from 8am ish to 6.30pm. So it doesn’t affect our sleep which is good."

"I had such a lovely stay at Mengjing Yayuan Hotel Dali. Everything about this hotel is beautiful, from the interior to the exterior, every corner feels thoughtfully designed and aesthetically pleasing. The ambience really adds to the whole Dali experience. The location is perfect. It’s right in Dali Ancient City, near the South Gate, so everything is within walking distance. For Muslim travellers, it’s also very convenient as there are halal food options nearby, making it easy to find meals. The service was truly top-notch. One thoughtful gesture that stood out was how they prepared breakfast for us during check-out, just to make sure we didn’t leave on an empty stomach. S uch a small detail, but it meant a lot. I’m really glad I chose to stay here, and I would definitely come back again if I visit Dali."

PPengguna TetamuThe first question I was asked was whether it was my first time in DALI. I told the staff yes and he immediately pulled out a map and started explaining key locations and even suggesting a time frame to explore Erhai lake and it's attractions. He then recommended a driver which we eventually agreed to. The driver brought us around and explained alot on our drive and gave us some background into dali culture and history. Definitely would book this hotel again if I'm in Dali in the future. There was a tea shifu who also gave us great insight into local teas and let us taste the tea and learn to appreciate it. Bonus was the 7 cats and 2 dogs which were super friendly and made my stay 9x more enjoyable.

PPengguna TetamuThis was the perfect start to our first trip to China — the hotel was right beside erhai lake and the views from the hotel cafe and the rooms were fantastic. The rooms were very clean and facilities modern and good (particularly the hotel cafe which serves coffee (each guest can redeem 1x coffee and unlimited cornetto ice creams and snacks from the cafe). It is also a ~6 minute walk away from a family-run bicycle shop where tourists can rent a bike from (20 元 for a full day) (there are rent-as-you-go bikes along the area too but they require a Chinese ID card in order for you to book). The service was also excellent and all the staff were very attentive. Each time we returned to the hotel, the staff would greet us with an option to get a bowl of rice noodles (mi xian 米线） or chinese dessert, depending on what time we arrived. There were also free flow fruits (some small apple-like fruit and cherry tomatoes) in the hotel lobby that was stocked through the day. Fantastic stay. We will definitely return if we come back to the area. (We had entered another hotel further down the same stretch for a coffee and that other hotel’s coffee and cleanliness paled in comparison; made us very thankful that we had booked this hotel instead). 10/10!

The location was just lovely - facing to the Lake, bathtub was our favourite ritual in the evening after a long day of walking and sightseeing. The hospitality you received from the hotel owner was heartfelt, they really strived for the best and gave us the sweetest gift- the sweet memories of Dali to bring home together, with the wonderful rose petals pastry. NnszmWe had a very pleasant stay at this inn in Dali Ancient Town. The location is great, tucked inside a quiet alley, yet only a short walk from Yu’er Road, making it convenient while still peaceful. The owner was extremely helpful, attentive, and kind throughout our stay. They helped arrange our transportation to and from the station, which made everything much easier. We also appreciated the complimentary benefit of a free one-person tour, so we only needed to pay for one additional person. What stood out most was how supportive the owner was when we encountered issues with our flight. Their help during that stressful time was truly appreciated. Lastly, the rooftop view was beautiful and a lovely place to relax. Overall, we had a great experience and would happily recommend this inn to others visiting Dali.

KKatherineliewtanWe stayed at Lishe seaview resort hotel for 2 nights. The hotel upgraded us to a two-room apartment which I did not expect! The apartment had spectacular view of Erhai in the living room and master bedroom. I had the foresight of having one free and easy day and we pretty much stayed in most of the time to soak in the view. The staff service was amazing. The team reached out to me via trip.com the day before we check in (fantastic initiative) as overseas visitors like me are not familiar with the WeChat usage. When we arrive, the staff were on standby to receive us and bring us to the apartment as we got there via our own driver. The hotel sent nightly desert (white fungus) to our apartment. One important aspect of the hotel is the delicious and wide spread of breakfast. The breaky was on the highest floor offering great views of Erhai, and the lady attendant there was polite, cheerful and has great service. When we checked, the hotel staff came to the apartment and send us to the car. They also presented a farewell bag of goodies - including rose Chinese cakes (which were super delicious!), tea and sweets. It was an awfully thoughtful gesture. I had the rose Chinese cake during breaky and loved them. So I was super happy to find them in the farewell gift. I would strongly recommend a stay here if you are in Dali. Fellow Singaporeans- you would love this place! I think even if I did not get the upgrade, I would have loved the view too. Just keep one day of doing nothing and enjoy the beautiful view and the hotel hospitality. The hotel staff were service oriented, always smiling, polite and helpful. I mean every staff we encountered, even the cleaning staff! This hotel was a great highlight of our Dali stay. I would definitely come back to stay at Lishe when next back to Dali.

Upon arrival, we were treated to a delightful tea break, complete with fresh fruits and fragrant rose tea. Witnessing the chef meticulously prepare the fruit platter for 30 minutes was a testament to the hotel's attention to detail and commitment to excellence. It's clear that every aspect of our stay was crafted with love. The hotel offers thoughtful amenities, including: - Photography package for capturing memories - Nighttime milk service, delivering warm milk to your doorstep before bed - Cozy library with an impressive selection of adult fiction, non-fiction, and children's books Near the hotel, there are live singing performances in the evenings, featuring talented vocalists performing ********* and Chinese classics (we enjoyed listening from the comfort of our room!) The staff's warm hospitality, combined with the hotel's charming ambiance and thoughtful touches, made our stay in Dali truly unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was outstanding—starting with a complimentary one-way airport pickup that made our arrival smooth and stress-free. Upon check-in, we were pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a spacious suite, where a welcome platter of fresh fruits awaited us. The room was immaculate, comfortable, and well-appointed, with plenty of space to relax. The staff and owner, were incredibly friendly and accommodating throughout our stay. Mr. Li who picked us from airport offered to drive us around (with a fee) to several local attractions and introduced us to some delicious local food, which added a unique and personal touch to our experience. The inn is tucked away beside a dry creek, creating a peaceful and quiet setting. The landscaping is beautiful and well-maintained, enhancing the overall sense of tranquility. We especially enjoyed the rooftop lounging area, which offers stunning views of Erhai Lake—a perfect spot to unwind at the end of the day. Breakfast was included and thoughtfully prepared, adding to the overall value and comfort of our stay.
