We spent 5 nights in the 2 beds Apartment (D8) as part of an RCI points exchange with Shell Vacation. The apt are quite dated (built in the '80s and not renovated at all. On the other side they are equipped with everything you need to spend a great winter holidays in Lapland. Sauna, hot tube, floor and electric heating, open fireplace, all bedroom are en suite (very small though), dish-washer, washing machine, patio with chairs. You need a car to enjoy the surroundings. Salla town is 10km away with plenty restaurants, supermarket and other attractions. Slopes, tourist info, bike, e-bike, cross country traiks are all 5 min drivining from the apartment. Plenty of activities to chose from and local Fins are extremely polite, welcoming and friendly.

Along the trails, you can hike in the summer to Finland's deepest gorge, Isokuru, where you'll find the breathtaking Pyhänkasteenputous waterfall. We were a bit worried by the reviews for this hotel when we read them after seeing it would be our base for our family trip to Lapland, we needn’t have been. The hotel itself is beautiful, overlooking fantastic floodlit slopes at the ski resort. The bar and restaurant area was lovely and the food was excellent! A bit of something for everyone from kids options, to nice adult options (pork in a creamy mushroom sauce, beef stew, meatballs etc) and the odd local dish like pickled fish which was delicious! Service was excellent and the staff were nothing but friendly. Enjoyed the Sauna and gym. Pool a bit chilly, probably best used as a plunge pool in between saunas rather than an activity for kids. The rooms were modern and really well done. They even had drying cabinets for all your wet clothes at the end of the day. Would come here on a ski holiday it was so good!

The location is excellent, as the ski trail is right next to it and the ski slopes and the spa are only a short distance away. The apartment is located in a paneled log-built building with two other apartments. The building was built in 1989.The apartment has comfortable living room/kitchen and bedroom with double bed. The living room/kitchen has a sofa bed. On the upper floor, there are two spreadable sofas, one of the sofas is already opened. The area of the upper floor is about 25 square meters and the room height is about 1.5 meters. The stairs leading to the upper floor are steep.The apartment also has a sauna and washroom/WC. Between the apartments is a covered space. This space contains an outdoor fireplace, which is shared with other apartments. In addition, there is a loft space between the apartments (no heating), where you can do, for example, ski maintenance and equipment storage. The space also has a ski waxing table.Susitupa 5 is an excellent option for those looking for comfortable accommodation near Sallatunturi's versatile services. Illuminated skiing trail 100 m, Spa Holiday Club Salla 1.5 km, Sports hall distance 1,5 km, Salla reindeer park and nature center 3 km, Hautajärvi nature center (operated by the Finnish Forest Administration) 30 km.

We spent 5 nights in the 2 beds Apartment (D8) as part of an RCI points exchange with Shell Vacation. The apt are quite dated (built in the '80s and not renovated at all. On the other side they are equipped with everything you need to spend a great winter holidays in Lapland. Sauna, hot tube, floor and electric heating, open fireplace, all bedroom are en suite (very small though), dish-washer, washing machine, patio with chairs. You need a car to enjoy the surroundings. Salla town is 10km away with plenty restaurants, supermarket and other attractions. Slopes, tourist info, bike, e-bike, cross country traiks are all 5 min drivining from the apartment. Plenty of activities to chose from and local Fins are extremely polite, welcoming and friendly.

We spent 5 nights in the 2 beds Apartment (D8) as part of an RCI points exchange with Shell Vacation. The apt are quite dated (built in the '80s and not renovated at all. On the other side they are equipped with everything you need to spend a great winter holidays in Lapland. Sauna, hot tube, floor and electric heating, open fireplace, all bedroom are en suite (very small though), dish-washer, washing machine, patio with chairs. You need a car to enjoy the surroundings. Salla town is 10km away with plenty restaurants, supermarket and other attractions. Slopes, tourist info, bike, e-bike, cross country traiks are all 5 min drivining from the apartment. Plenty of activities to chose from and local Fins are extremely polite, welcoming and friendly.

We were a bit worried by the reviews for this hotel when we read them after seeing it would be our base for our family trip to Lapland, we needn’t have been. The hotel itself is beautiful, overlooking fantastic floodlit slopes at the ski resort. The bar and restaurant area was lovely and the food was excellent! A bit of something for everyone from kids options, to nice adult options (pork in a creamy mushroom sauce, beef stew, meatballs etc) and the odd local dish like pickled fish which was delicious! Service was excellent and the staff were nothing but friendly. Enjoyed the Sauna and gym. Pool a bit chilly, probably best used as a plunge pool in between saunas rather than an activity for kids. The rooms were modern and really well done. They even had drying cabinets for all your wet clothes at the end of the day. Would come here on a ski holiday it was so good!

Very spacious and well equipped house. Nice and cozy furnishings. Everything you need is available (including washing machine and dryer). A plus is that there is a toilet both upstairs and downstairs. Also a bedroom downstairs for the less mobile people.
