Note: we stayed in July 2022, not November! We loved it at Easy Stay! After a short trip to the East coast we decided to head back to Trou aux Biches. While searching for accommodation we found this little gem! Located almost beachfront with huge rooms and a huge balcony. The breakfast is a local breakfast which is prepared and served freshly. The staff is so friendly and loving and welcoming that we were really really sad when we had to leave after one week! This was the best place we stayed at, mainly thanks to the staff. The interior of the rooms was not our taste and the „kitchenette“ was not really kitchen, but a counter and a fridge. You can’t cook there. Otherwise you have a great view from the first floor and can watch the sunset from your own balcony. We loved it there and I will happily recommend this place to anyone who wants to go to Trou aux Biches!! We miss the lovely ladies working there!!!

Rats in restaurant On arrival the hotel is really beautiful - a small oasis tucked away with gorgeous colonial style. The reception staff were really lovely and made us feel welcome. The room was really nice - but there were a few things we noticed (which we let slide at the start) - massive dirty lipstick mark on one of our water glasses, filthy lampshades above the bathroom sinks, bed linen that didn’t feel particularly fresh and the robes as well had a slight greyish colour rather than bright white which they were meant to be. These were all minor things at the start which we didn’t even mention to each other but did notice. We then had our first night at the cocktail bar where our drink was served by the lovely barman (very polite and smily) - as we were drinking we saw a huge rat run across the terrace - we decided it was an island and maybe this is normal (although we really weren’t happy about it). We then were dining within the restaurant and again a huge rat was running towards the table. For us, this is not ok. We asked to move tables as we saw a rat and the waiters barely acknowledged it - didn’t offer any apology and then proceeded to avoid our table for the rest of the night. We informed the manager the next day who assured us he was aware and the rat had been caught, and to “give it a chance”. We weren’t offered so much as a complimentary drink. After dining in the restaurant again the second night and again seeing a rat - for us it was time to check out. Not only is it unpleasant seeing rodents running around while eating but I would say it’s a hygiene issue and makes me question the cleanliness of the kitchen and the safety of the food. The only concession we were offered was to not pay for the remaining nights that we would not be staying for. Really disappointing. On hindsight some things we would add about the whole experience: - Not a 5 star in terms of food, service or cleanliness - Staff really hit and miss - some very friendly some really rude and unhelpful - Rooms didn’t feel clean - Food was average - nothing felt fresh including breakfast - Quite stingey with water - water not replaced within our room (had to ask for it) We are now staying at a different hotel and haven’t seen one rat, so don’t think this is “just an island thing” as the manager stated. The service and food are also worlds apart which has really solidified that our review of 20 degres sud as completely justified - not a 5 star experience whatsoever.

Perfect for honeymooners to experience “you and me” moments. Loved the boutique feel and relaxing atmosphere. The staff were 10/10, made us feel so welcomed and so accommodating. Never had service like this before. Thanks to Tulsi, Dev, Deepak and rest of the team for making our stay so enjoyable. The spa is amazing. The couples massage overlooking the sea was bliss. The cove is beautiful however no beach. The Infinity pool was a highlight with views of the sea/ surrounding islands were stunning. You will never run out of sun loungers. The activities and evening entertainment were great. You can borrow bikes to take you to the nearby beaches. Water activities include glass bottom boat, paddle board, kayak etc. All inclusive is truly all inclusive and unlimited. The food was some of the best I’ve had on the island. Thank you for helping me brush up on my creole! We will be back again!

The hotel itself is great with a fantastic garden and very good and friendly service. The beachfront villas are wonderful and we had the possibility to relax on our own terrace. The Dealers are not only at the beach they are also walking within the hotel area. It is always vey busy and not so calm. Our Butler Veeshal and the cleaning man Ankush are fantastic and more than friendly and helpful every day. 5 Star! Overall, the service staff like Dasmuth or Ahad at the beach and Neha from the Oasis reception are always so polite and nice (in contrast to some managers who walk past without greetings). The reaction from the Management related to questions or complaints are fast and personally. The restaurants are all very deliciouses but reservation should be done either in advance or just after arrival. The Breakfast is unfortunately not a five star breakfast. It is a little bit disorganised. In the first days glasses and plates were missing. But I reported it directly and the following days everything was available. Unfortunately you could not snorkel directly from the beach in the direction of the reef, because there is considerable boat traffic in the lagoon. This is a pity, because the lagoon actually offers perfect conditions - flat, hardly any current and the reef is very close. We had specifically chosen Mauritius because of the house reefs and in addition to practice SUP everyday. The bathing areas marked for swimmers are very small and not suitable for snorkelling. - at least not if you do not want to take the risk of being run over by the boat. The fun tubes and waterski reminds me off ballerman in Europe. Loud music mostly the whole day.
