Old Montreal
This hotel in Old Montreal has a wonderful location, so close to great restaurants like the new Moishe’s Steak House, and Holder. It is small, clean and comfortable with lots of large windows. The reception and breakfast area is large and light. The Loft rooms are very comfortable and spacious with Molton Brown amenities and a Nespresso machine. The large windows open and have pretty flower boxes. The layout of an ‘open concept’ bathroom and closets might not appeal to all, but we liked the quirkiness. The decor could stand some updating. For example, the two occasional chairs in our room were quite worn and the hallway carpet stained. Our housekeeper was excellent. Reception staff were generally accommodating. The food at breakfast was excellent but the service could stand improvement. One morning it took 30 minutes to get a cappuccino. In fairness, another morning’s room service breakfast arrived promptly. But another morning we seemed to be forgotten. This may be a post-Covid staffing problem however. At check out, a detailed statement of daily charges and credit certificates was lacking. When we arrived, we asked for additional pillows but none were available initially. We got one the second night after the other woman who had it checked out! We would probably stay here again if these small but irritating issues were fixed.

Our stay was perfect! Checkin was seamless. The staff was extremely kind and helpful! The room was clean and exactly as pictured. The electronic features of the room were an added bonus (motion sensor lighting and electronic blinds/curtains, sensor and heated toilet). The location was amazing and so close to everything. The concierge helped us find a fun speakeasy within walking distance and checked in with us afterwards. Best weekend trip in a long time!

Speedy check-in and check-out. Great facilities. Comfortable lounging areas. Pool area is wonderful. Went a couple of times in January and February when the pool was 93 degrees. It was 91 this time and people hovered around the inlet returns where the warm water comes in. We got an upgraded room which was lovely. Really appreciated that. The bar and food was also great. Overall excellent stay.

From the moment I walked into the hotel, my husband and I were greeted by such kind and friendly ladies at the reception desk. We deeply felt their high level of customer service and hospitality. Their positive energy truly made us feel so welcome and we enjoyed our stay in the hotel tremendously. Some ladies I was able to be introduced to their names while others I was not. But truly every single one of them was so hospitable and welcoming, in particular Yasmine. The concierge ladies Pauline and Mireille were so very helpful in everything that we inquired about. Thank you so much W staff for everything and for making our stay so warm and pleasurable. A special thanks goes to the welcoming guys at the entrance of the hotel, the waiters and waitress in the restaurant Tbsp and everyone else who demonstrated so much hospitality and kindness. 🙏
