Hotel Pet Friendly di Shaanxi, China

I recently stayed at the Chalet Hotel (Xi’an Bell and Drum Tower) and it was easily the highlight of the trip. If you’re looking for the perfect mix of location, style, and comfort, this is it. First off, the location is unbeatable. You are steps away from the Bell Tower and the Muslim Quarter, which made popping out for late-night snacks or sunrise photos incredibly easy. Even though it's right in the heart of the action, the room was surprisingly quiet and felt like a peaceful escape from the city buzz. The design of the hotel is super chic—very modern with a touch of local character. My room was spotless, the bed was like a cloud, and I loved the high-end amenities they provided. It definitely feels more like a boutique luxury experience than a standard hotel. What really pushed it to a 10/10 for me was the service. The staff went above and beyond to help with local recommendations and transport, making everything feel seamless. Whether you're here for the history or the food, this is the best base you could ask for in Xi'an. I’ll definitely be booking here again.

Booked this Novatel hotel for one night aiming to tour around the Xi'an bell tower area. 1. Moving from Marriott Hotel to Novatel, it gave not good impression due to the simple entrance at first floor (maybe get used to grand first floor reception and lobby). 2. The light at the corridor are dark, again not good impression after checked in at around 8pm and walked to the room alone (no other guest insight). 3. Services are however very good. A. Given the room is a bit cold, a separate portable heater is provided B. Helping with setup the wifi connection since encountered issue (connected but no internet) C. Also help with the handling of Taobao item 4. The room is ok and location is very good (close to the bell tower etc)

Lovely place and great location when visiting huashan. The owners pick you up and drop you off from the train station and huashan, which makes visiting all the more convenient. Room and restaurant were very clean and food was delicious. Highly recommend the biang biang noodles!

All in all a great hotel. Clean and a nice environment. Rooms very nice and well furnished. Bed was soft, shower was nice, and the bathroom had a bidet. Came stocked with a mini-bar (soda, tea, water) and tea you could brew. They ask have birds in the lobby which I liked. It opens up directly into the Tang night city (buyecheng) nearby which I thought was nice. The Dayangta and the history musem are also very close. The breakfast was also pretty good. In particular I liked the Chinese hamburger (Roujiamo), as well as the liangpi. The service was also warm and attentive, both at the front desk as well as the breakfast. The metro and public transit are also very convenient, being a ~5-10 walk to the nearest station. Two minor things to pay attention to is 1) as some of the rooms face towards the street, the traffic at night can be a bit noisy and wake you if you’re a light sleeper. 2) Because they hadn’t switched over to AC yet as warm weather has just arrived, you need to switch to the screen door on the balcony to let the cool night air in. Not a major issue on its own but if it faces towards the street can make it more noisy in the room, so may be wise to bring earplugs. All in all though it was an excellent stay.

I really liked staying here! The hotel was lovely and clean, very conveniently located, and the cats are absolutely friendly and delightful. I was very pleased with the Ancient Wall View from my room - close enough to see, but not close enough that people were looking into the room! The room itself was also perfect for me, with a comfortable bed and a very modern bathroom. Getting in was miiiiiildly confusing, just because I didn't realise that the hotel requires walking down a tiny (clearly signposted) alley to get to the stairs - not too bad, but I had to walk past twice to realise where I was. Overall a great stay!

服務特別貼心周到，Alice態度熱情又專業，全程體驗很舒服，超滿意！酒店出門就是濕地公園，這幾天滿園的各色月季盛開。園林設計也是很花心思。跑步或走路都是天然氧吧。漢江盡在眼前…..我訂的温泉私湯，院子很私密，走了一天路，泡泡恨放鬆，腿都不疼了。酒店一樓居然還有美麗田園和采耳….總之複合度假所需。早餐必須誇誇，熱米皮一定要試試哦。酒店還有潮汕牛肉鍋….這幾天一直吃辣，可以換換口味兒。房間很大且乾淨。床，反正讓我睡得很香。帶小朋友來會感到很貼心，因為我看到了小童牙具杯子和小童拖鞋。還有很多不一一描述。來就對了

Fantastic hotel. Staff so friendly and helpful. Just lovely. Had a room with balcony looking at the wall, lovely spot to relax. Morning market was fantastic, just a 50 Metrewalk away. Proximity to the wall and eateries is terrific. Cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. We will definetly be going back. Thank you so much for such a wonderful few days

Our stay at the W Hotel was absolutely incredible. I was completely blown away by the sheer scale and beauty of the building — everything felt luxurious, modern, and thoughtfully designed from the moment we arrived. The lighting, flooring, and stunning views over the lake created such an impressive atmosphere throughout the hotel. I had asked if it would be possible to upgrade to a lake view room, and the staff kindly arranged it for us the following day, which we really appreciated. It was also our anniversary, so the hotel surprised us with balloons and a cake in the room, which was such a thoughtful touch. My partner especially loved the cake — she probably ate 90% of it herself! The food throughout our stay was amazing, and the breakfast spread was one of the best I’ve experienced anywhere. There was such a huge variety of options, all beautifully presented. The cocktail bar / Betty Boop bar was also fantastic, with a really stylish atmosphere, and the complimentary cocktail each day was a great bonus. The facilities were equally impressive. The swimming pool was massive, the hot tub was excellent, and the gym was honestly incredible — modern, spacious, and very well equipped. What stood out most was how unique the hotel felt. The Art Deco influences mixed with the modern design made it unlike anywhere I’ve stayed before. Every detail felt polished and high-end while still feeling welcoming and enjoyable. Overall, one of the most beautiful, stylish, and memorable hotels I’ve ever stayed in, and I would happily return again.

Compared with many other hotels, this one is quite special and does not feel rigid or conventional. It has a unique character and a very pleasant atmosphere. The service provided by every staff member is exceptionally attentive and courteous. The facilities are also very comprehensive—almost everything you could think of or need is available. I would especially like to praise the quality of the daily amenities provided, such as the toothbrushes, combs, and other toiletries. They are of excellent quality, even better than those offered by some five-star hotels. The hotel itself is a two-storey traditional-style building, and being located right beside the Big Wild Goose Pagoda makes the experience even more special. Staying here truly feels as if you have stepped back into ancient times. Another major advantage is the location. The hotel is situated between the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and the famous Great Tang Everbright City. The surrounding area is very lively, especially at night. There is the spectacular Big Wild Goose Pagoda fountain show, and the Great Tang Everbright City is filled with shops and restaurants, making it extremely convenient for dining, sightseeing, and evening strolls. 相比起很多一般的酒店，這間酒店給人的感覺非常不一樣。它沒有那種制式、刻板的氛圍，反而充滿了自己的風格、情調與特色，整體環境讓人感到十分放鬆和舒適。 酒店每一位員工的服務態度都非常殷勤、細心，令人感到賓至如歸。酒店的設施亦非常齊全，基本上你能想到、你所需要的東西，這裡幾乎都能提供。 特別值得一提的是酒店提供的日常用品，例如牙刷、梳子以及各類洗漱用品，品質都非常好，甚至比一些五星級酒店提供的還要優質。 酒店本身是一座兩層的仿古建築，再加上它就位於大雁塔旁邊，住在這裡真的會讓人有一種彷彿置身於古代的感覺。 另外，酒店的位置也非常優越。它正好位於大雁塔與大唐不夜城之間，周邊環境非常熱鬧，尤其到了晚上更是精彩。附近有著名的大雁塔音樂噴泉表演，而大唐不夜城更是商店與食店林立，無論是逛街、吃飯還是晚上散步都非常方便。

Exceptional Staff: A special thanks to Mr. Yu for his outstanding and professional service. Property: The hotel is modern, clean, and very well-maintained. The Drawbacks: Breakfast: The food quality is underwhelming and needs improvement. Pet Policy: The hotel is pet-friendly, which I personally didn't like—it’s a matter of preference, but worth noting if you aren't a fan. Climate Control: The central temperature system lacks individual flexibility; you can't adjust it to your own comfort. Smoking: Despite Hilton’s policy, smoke is still noticeable indoors, which seems unavoidable in the region. Location: A steady 10-minute walk to the nearest subway station.
