Hotel 3 Bintang di Napier

We booked one night here on a whistle stop trip through Napier, it did exactly what we needed. The check in was good and it was very nice speaking to the friendly man at the front desk, he made us feel very welcome. The units are at the back of the pub and don't look that great from the outside, but are exceptionally clean. Our room did feel a bit tired, but the bathroom was on the newer side and our AC unit worked well. I've dropped some points from the rating due to: open style shower tends to make everything in bathroom wet; and the kettle plug couldn't reach any plug point in the kitchen - we were therefore plugging it in on the floor. All in all a good place to stay, unfortunately the pub and restaurant were closed on our stay (just after NYE) otherwise I could imagine that would make this an even better place to stay.

These rooms have got a nice outlook over the park to the sea. I’m not sure they are luxury from my point of view. The bed really needed to be replaced with a mattress that wasn’t sloping and saggy. My main issue was the housekeeping service. We decided to stay in a serviced motel rather than air bnb type place because of the daily room servicing so we felt like we were really having a restful holiday. Most times the room servicing was done late in the day and was only a change of towels. We went for three days without our rubbish being emptied, no tea towel, and the bed wasn’t made, until we asked on the fourth day for a full room service then the whole room was cleaned and vacuumed and the sheets changed in the morning while we were out. If you don’t mind housekeeping inconsistencies, then it’s a nice place to stay.

My colleague and I needed some urgent accommodation in Napier to support a customer. The Albatross had a twin room unit that suited our needs during the busy part of the summer season in the Hawke's Bay. The room was fresh, clean and welcoming. Excellent Wi-Fi speed! The shower was good with good pressure. We would certainly stay at the Albatross again. The BayView hotel just down the road was perfect for a walk for a very nice meal and a large selection of both local and national craft beers. Great garden bar to enjoy a lovely summers evening. Or I'm sure a cracking fire in the cooler months.

Not too impressed with this place. The lobby is so small that when a large group arrives, as we did, we couldn't all get in the door with our lugguge. Even when you're on your own, the two lifts are so close to the front door, that the automatic doors keep opening & closing whilst you wait. Ridiculous. The Dining Room only has one small toaster for the whole of breakfast service, resulting in long queues & long waits. My room was large & comfortable, but the bathroom tiny. The location of the hotel is good, with many rooms having a sea-view (through the Nordic pines) and it's close to downtown with its pubs & bars. OK for one night.

I stayed here for two nights in May 2023. The hotel has the best location for Napier, right in the CBD and a 2-minute walk to the Napier War Memorial Centre (where many conferences are held). The hotel retains its heritage features, so it's not a modern hotel but it is clean and tidy and almost as new. The room had a TV, iron and ironing board, comfortable bed, mini fridge, tea and coffee facilities. My room faced the street but there was no noise. However, the room overall was small - would definitely be a squeeze for more than one person for a long stay. The writing desk was small and the wifi was a bit slow at times. Parking was somewhat problematic. I arrived and parked my car nearby, went to reception and they pointed out the parking area which is just a couple of blocks from the hotel. When I arrived at the parking area (a large paid parking area), the places reserved for the hotel were all full. I checked back a few times over the next few hours and that remained the case. Finally I parked in one of the non-reserved areas and the hotel said that they would pay that charge for me (I didn't have to pay anything as I booked directly with the hotel and that included free parking). The people at the hotel were very apologetic about the parking situation. I don't know what happened with the cleaning of my room as it wasn't cleaned at all after the first night, ie bed was not made, rubbish not removed, and coffee not replenished. Maybe this was just an oversight but, if it is the policy not to service rooms, at least the rubbish should have been removed and the coffee replenished.

My suite at harbour view was just what I needed. With a beautiful view and very reasonable room, I now feel refreshed. The spa bath and high pressure shower was great. The room comes with full Sky TV and outdoor furniture for the balcony. The room was spotless when I arrived. While the building is outdated, I saw two contractors painting today, so I feel the owner is working on updating and improving this which is great to see. Interestingly, I picked this motel because the room was a great price. I normally expect to see something wrong when this happens, but I was pleasantly surprised. Overnight stay, tipping down with rain so we were happy to collect food and eat in our very comfortable family unit - I'd booked a studio but we were given a bigger room, didn't take advantage of the spa bath but it was tempting. The kitchen was well equipped, bed was comfortable, shower pressure really excellent (just what you need after a day's driving. We were able to have a good walk along the waterfront next morning, the Beach Front Motel is well situated with access to tourist attractions. One small point - in the upstairs big units be careful of the top step, we put a dining chair on that step, it would be very easy to forget the step-down is there and would be easy to fall.

Saya menginap di salah satu pangsapuri motel serba lengkap di Napier Beach Kiwi Holiday Park and Motels. Pada masa yang sama terdapat ramai orang dengan khemah dan rumah bergerak/berkhemah. Lokasinya sangat baik kerana ia betul-betul di pantai dan cukup jauh dari SH1 supaya ia benar-benar tenang dan tanpa bunyi bising. Sangat dijaga oleh pengurusan yang mesra. Amat disyorkan.
