PPengguna TetamuWe had the best stay at Elswhwere Hotel West Gate. The building is restored it the nicest way really gives you the feeling of timetravel. The people working in the hotel, were carrying and welcoming. They explained us how to navigate the city, helped us buy tickets for the city sights, recommend restaurants and we even got a room upgrade and lovely gifts to take home and remember our time in Pingyao.
The bed was so comfortable and we had the best sleep. Can recommend this hotel full heartedly. Would definitely come back! Thank you Helen and Fenny for making our stay so memorable.

PPengguna Tetamu新開不久，房間乾乾淨淨的，衞生很好，馬桶也很新，床單被套都ok，我一個潔癖患者都滿意。酒店本身就在下西門口，走幾步就進西門，離又見平遙也很近，加上老闆親自開車免費接送動車站，真的很貼心（^.^）推薦入住～沒有拍酒店的照片，就拍幾張古城的吧～現在淡季人少，我覺得這次平遙古城我玩挺好的，沒有網上説的那麼差啊

PPengguna TetamuWe had such a lovely stay here and truly felt welcomed from the moment we arrived. The hotel is owned by a husband and wife, the husband kindly picked us up from the train station and later dropped us back, which made our travel so much easier and stress-free. The wife checked us in warmly and looked after us throughout our stay, always making sure we were comfortable. Her English was very good, and she gave us fantastic recommendations.
The homemade breakfast she prepared for us the next morning was such a thoughtful touch and made us feel like guests in their home rather than just customers at a hotel. Their kindness and genuine hospitality really stood out.
The room was modern and very clean, and the hotel itself is so picturesque! Staying here made our experience in Pingyao incredibly memorable. We’re very grateful for how well they looked after us and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area!

RRoshan_hotmailWe had a fantastic stay here, largely thanks to the incredibly helpful and kind host. The hotel is housed in a 300-year-old building, giving you a beautiful, authentic experience of ancient China, but the interior is fully updated and very calm.
Arrival and Service: The host is highly organized. They arranged a free shuttle to pick us up the moment we stepped out of the Pingyao Gucheng railway station, and provided a free drop-off when it was time to leave. Upon arrival, the host sat down with a map, clearly explained how to navigate the walled city, and gave us great advice on what to prioritize.
The Room: It looks ancient from the outside, but it is a spacious, spotlessly clean, modern hotel room on the inside. It features a large flat-screen TV and a smart voice-control system for the lights. The bathroom was immaculate and entirely modern, complete with an excellent shower and a heated toilet seat. I cannot believe they provide a room of this quality for such an affordable price. It is truly worth it.
Location & Breakfast: The hotel is in a very convenient spot inside the Pingyao city walls, just a 10-minute walk to the evening light show. Breakfast is included. Rather than a standard buffet, they serve a nice traditional set meal featuring millet porridge (xiaomi), fried vegetables, and eggs (see my uploaded pictures).
I highly recommend this place if you want top-tier hospitality and a clean, comfortable blend of ancient atmosphere and modern convenience.

PPengguna Tetamu客棧位置非常好，鬧中取靜，步行2-3分鐘就能到達古城內最繁華核心地帶，市樓，南大街，平遙最好的餐廳都在這條街上。客棧裝修非常有特色，雕樑畫柱，古樸大氣，一進去給人一種眼前一亮的感覺，客棧上下有三層，自己特意請了攝像師在客棧拍了好多照片，沒去過平遙古城的朋友看了照片都收藏了他家，準備去時住那裡。房間乾淨衞生，舒適，有各種房型，滿足不同需求的遊客，價格適中，服務更是沒得説，老闆是本地人，熱情，真誠，主動給客人介紹平遙古城歷史，旅遊景點，當地特色美食，產品，憑他家的卡還可以在最有名的幾家餐廳打折吃飯，至於平遙特產醋，平遙牛肉，酒等都由老闆替我們代勞了，貨真價實！應我們的要求老闆帶我們去漆器廠挑選精美漆器，價格美麗，物超所值。總之來平遙古城你衹管玩好，其它的交給老闆就行了，一次非常愉快的旅行，收穫滿滿，還會再來，也推薦給要去平遙古城的朋友，選他家絕對沒錯！

FFlo RidahNice and spacious hotel with friendly and helpful staff.
The room was as described and quite large. Very clean and fresh looking with a nice big shower.
The breakfast was great too with many choices: from noodle soup and add ons to bread, fresh fruit, yoghurt and cake.
Not to mention it is just across the main street leading to the ancient city. I can honestly recommend this hotel!

HHirao KenI’m honestly speechless! The host upgraded me to a suite without me even asking—it was such an incredible gesture. He speaks enough English to help with anything you need and is genuinely one of the kindest people I've met. Both he and his son even ran out to the street to catch me when they saw I was walking in the wrong direction! They truly have hearts of gold.
As for the stay, everything was spotless. The bathroom has a seated toilet and the shower has great pressure and hot water. Even though Pingyao was close to zero degrees, I stayed perfectly warm. Also, this is easily the most exotic and beautiful hostel I’ve ever stayed in. The interior design is just stunning!

PPengguna Tetamu這次平遙之行，非常榮幸選擇了榮耀民宿，雖然在古城外，但出行超方便，步行5-6分鐘就到古城入口，還免去了古城內交通管制的麻煩。房間乾淨又温馨，床品軟乎乎的，晚上一沾枕頭就睡着。民宿老闆是一名二十年的退役老兵，服務超熱情，不僅幫忙規劃路線，還推薦了很多本地人常去的小店，價格非常優惠才幾十塊錢，真的是物超所值。特別推薦大家可以入住體驗

PPengguna Tetamulocation is perfect. Hotel is located in a beautiful building. Room was ok. Please note that the beds are really hard, especially for European people. I knew we had original kan beds, and expected them to be hard, but they were really really hard. Our kids were to tired and we let them sleep out a bit, so we skipped breakfast which was until 09:30. People worlking at hotel could be a bit more helpfull. The hotel itself is bigger then expected. If you go for teh scenic adventure, you can choose to stay here as the location is perfect. You also only need to walk like 20 meters max from the drop off point where no shuttle busses are allowed.
