Hotel berhampiran Calzedonia, Rome

房間很寬敞，還有個小陽台，單獨的行李房，衞生間有一點點小，到也不影響。我們帶了4歲的孩子，加了寶寶床，放了可愛的被褥，送了孩子陪伴睡覺的小熊，最最重要的是，員工都特別友好，每個人都是真心誠意的幫助我的，回答問題也超級詳細，在地圖上給我標明瞭每一個景點，以及如何規劃最合理，雖然有時候聽不太懂夾雜了意大利語的英語，但是真心感謝他們的。早餐也不錯，餐廳的服務人員都特別友好，尤其對小孩子極度寬容。

This hotel was a disappointment. I stayed there for four nights this easter for my first trip to Rome. I choose this hotel because it was central and medium high ranked, but the only positive thing was the location. It sits centrally located near the Pantheon and most things are in walking distance. However, to even get into the hotel you need to go through a police checkpoint since the hotel is opposite to the parliament building across the piazza. Still that’s not the problem. Although the hotel has a shiny reception the rest of the hotel is worn and not living up to its reputation. The rooms are worn down and though cleaned things doesn’t seem quite clean. The the bed was squeaky and barely holding together. The bathroom shower was broken and the bathroom altogether tiny. Breakfast was another disappointment. Although it had a basic, not continental thought, composition, they always ran out of food before breakfast time was over. The croissants were burnt, the eggs badly overcooked and the cheese dry. Not very pleasant. So the only thing that was positive was the location. Still there is a hundred other hotels with the same location and I can’t imagine them being as bad as this. Spend your money elsewhere.

The location of the hotel is great. There are a lot of good restaurants nearby and you get a 10% off from the restaurant downstairs next door or being costumer from the hotel. The room was very clean with a lot of amenities including coffee, tea and coffee machine.

The room is spacious enough for me and my friend to open our luggage at the same time and still lots of room to walk around with the case opened. The bed and linens are comfortable. Desk to long and wide, with two chairs allow us to use and put on daily skin care together. Only if they could setup slippers in room and add in tooth brush and tooth paste in the bathroom then it will be perfect. Location wise there are quite a lot of restaurants around and it is very close to the central terminal, just a 5-10 minutes walk. You can also take bus or train around to travel around attractions in Rome very easily. There are 2-3 receptionists in the check in counter, they are very knowledgeable to Rome and hotel product knowledge, hope they could keep smile on faces and more friendly. Also I request a non need service to our room to the housekeeping attendant on the second day, but we came back to the room and found it was cleaned. Attached the photo is the door stopper which I found good for the attendant they don’t need to bend their back and also to protect the door from getting starches at the same time.

The best thing about Giglio is it’s location. You can never ask for a better location than this. Exactly three minutes walk from Termini Station, it is surrounded by nice out sitting restaurants, a small super store that also have reasonably priced Italian wine and some of the tourist attractions at walkable distance. Collosium is approximately 1.5 kms from here. Though there are buses (number H) from Termini but I will advise to take a cab because the tourists pickpocketing is so rampant that it is really a menace (we saw an American man and his wife literally crying as they were robbed of their wallet which had his all credit cards). However, let’s come back to the hotel Giglio. If you fancy a hotel with a large balcony or big windows then you must look some other property. But if you are a genuine tourist who wants value for money, centrally located just go for this place. Our room was on fifth floor and our A/C was set at 26 degrees Celsius. There was no remote in the room. I spoke to reception and Mr Rauf came rushing upstairs, brought a remote and set the temperature as we wanted. Though we were only two people we were given a room fit for four people. The bathroom was really spacious. They don’t provide a lot of toiletries but good enough to shower. I have had breakfast at various expensive hotels in Rome, Florance and Siena but the breakfast provided at Giglio was much better than most. I must also add that the very kind girl at the breakfast service named Safia was just an Angel for us. She is soft spoken, very oriented towards customers and one who looks for solutions. We wanted vegetarian breakfast and she got us cheese tomato sandwiches because everything else had meat. Overall this is a great hotel because it gives you best value for money, it’s location and its kind staff.

The hotel was conveniently located 5-min from Termini train station and the FCO airport shuttle bus and hop on hop off bus stops just across. We stayed 2 times during our 2 week stay in Rome - over night stay before heading down to Civitavecchia Port for MSC cruise and 4 night stay upon return from the cruise ship. We used the hotel storage service for one of our luggage bags for a week during our 7-day cruise. The hotel staffs were friendly.

Sono certa che ognuno di noi abbia la propria scala di fattori per valutare se un posto e' bello o brutto ma che siano le persone il valore aggiunto. In questo hotel pulito, carino e molto comodo , vicino alla stazione di Roma Termini sono proprio le persone che fanno di un piccolo hotel, un punto di riferimento per i nostri viaggi a Roma. Paola della reception e' stata, ed è, la persona che ci ha seguito in fase di prenotazione e che si è fatta in quattro per aiutarci a proiettare le nostre fotografie su una parete, di una saletta allestita solamente per noi, un gruppetto di fotografi arrivati in città per un corso di fotografia di due giorni. The hotel is situated right behind the Metro B line, only one stop from the Roma Termini metro station (or you can walk to Roma Termini by foot, which takes about 8 mins). So it's super convenient to travel anywhere by metro (but please note some metro stations may not be closed without prior notice). Our room is tiny but tidy, with all kinds of toiletries available (including slippers). The shower area is quite spacious compared to other hotels/hostels we stayed in during our trip. Our booking didn't include any breakfast, but we got some pastries and coffee just downstairs (there are a few cafe bars nearby). Will definitely come back if I am in Rome next time.

Come da titolo buon hotel in cui ho passato una notte durante il mio breve soggiorno a Roma, a febbraio. Hotel situato in una posizione strategica, a pochi passi dall'entrata della metro, proprio accanto ad un supermercato e a vari bar e ristoranti. Personale di reception gentile e professionale. Alta la tassa di soggiorno (4€ al giorno a persona, ma non è ovviamente colpa dell'hotel ma del comune). Camera singola piccola ma con tutto l'essenziale (condizionatore, riscaldamento, frigo bar vuoto, armadio, finestra con vista e un cuscino in più) al quarto piano con vista sul cortile interno. Il bagno è spazioso. Letto abbastanza comodo. Prezzi nella norma considerata la posizione e i servizi presenti vicino all'hotel. Consigliato se per un breve periodo (2/3 notti), altrimenti anche se si è da soli come me conviene prendere una camera di categoria superiore, poiché altrimenti tende a diventare asfissiante la camera singola standard.

The hotel is very modern, lovely sized room and really comfy bed! You get a hairdryer in the room (ladies!) and there is a mini fridge to leave your own drinks. Aircon worked perfectly and some fancy lighting above the bed! Really close to the 160 bus stop that takes you to the centre of Rome for €1.50 (pre pay on the app!) and also some lovely restaurants and cafes for food. Short walk from the 716 bus to take you to Rome Termini. Lovely staff- although confusing when one member let us have water complimentary and another charged for it. Only improvements would be to have tea coffee in the room for in a morning, and also don’t expect the Beth room to be super clean- in need of a little TLC.
