We stayed to be near the town of Fougères with it's exceptional chateau, the largest in Europe. It turned out to be only about 20 minutes away so was easy to get to, the hotel is split into various blocks, so if it had been bad weather we would have got wet walking from the room in an outlying section to the restaurant. The room was as expected, there was a kettle and cups, tea and coffee sachets but no milk, it was certainly clean, the towels were changed each day even though the hotel claims to respect the environment, I wonder in that matter why the guest soaps were imported from China when there is readily available French manufacturers. The restaurant prices were reasonable with menus and a la carte, some amazing deserts were available. General speaking the staff were attentive and careful, there seems to be adequate private parking ,we had a room near the kitchen extractor fans which were noisy but not too bad if you closed the window. There was air conditioning. The hotel is convenient for visiting the coast, we went to Mt st Michel and a nearby Garden of renown. We would go back.
