Hotel 3 Bintang di Santiago

We stayed in this hotel for two nights while visiting Santiago de Chile, and my experience was pretty good. Check-in process was smooth with no complaints other than the lack of staff to escort the luggage. We got a room in the middle of the building and the room was spacious and comfortable with working heater plus air conditioner for warning up from the chilly Santiago weather. Unfortunately we were unable to enjoy the breakfast due to the constraints of our tour but overall we had a very nice stay and would recommend this to anyone who's looking for a good accomodation in the centre of Santiago.

I stayed 3 nights in the so called executive single room. My room was of a decent size, with all the appropriate amenities including a chair, a table, etc. There was also a small balcony, which was a nice surprise. The balcony was overlooking the street, which ended to be relatively quiet (Saturday and Sunday felt pretty dead in this area though). The bathroom was also spacious, everything worked properly, with enough hot water and a proper water pressure. The room looked clean to me and there was no issues with housekeeping. I could tell that the room furnishings were worn out though, like old furniture, etc. It didn’t bother me much because of my short stay, but it was quite apparent nonetheless. A/C also looked old and it was a bit noisy. The buffet breakfast was adequate. It didn’t have a plenty of choices but it was OK for me. In terms of location, as you probably already know, it is very central. I walked to the hotel back from San Cristobal's Funicular Station (taking Uber there) and also walked everywhere. If you don’t like walking, then Uber is readily available in the area. Also, as I said earlier, keep in mind that this area is pretty dead on weekends. On weekdays the area comes to life and there are many restaurants next to the hotel that offer lunch menus. In terms of service I can’t say much because I barely asked for anything. But it seemed OK. Wi-Fi in my room was non-existing. This was a bad experience. But I suspect it was because of my room’s location. Otherwise Wi-Fi worked OK on the floor or in other places. The hotel also charges for everything, even for a bottled water in your room that is there on your arrival. All in all, not a bad experience. I am giving 4 stars but it is more like 3.5 stars review. I would recommend it for a short stay.

O hotel está no centro, próximo da estação de metrô Santa Lucía, da feirinha e do cerro de mesmo nome. Possível chegar andando do hotel até a Plaza de Armas. As acomodações são confortáveis, a equipe do hotel foi gentil e prestativa todo tempo. O café da manhã é básico, com o essencial, e é necessário marcar horário para consumi-lo. Você não pode se servir sozinho, tem sempre alguém para servir, apesar de não limitarem as quantidades.

I stayed here 7 days total over 3 bookings as I was in and out of Santiago for flights to Rapa Nui, the Atacama and Torres del Paine NP. Each stay was great. Why? Well, first, unlike the original place that I booked when I arrived in Santiago who flat out lied about the quality of their wifi (it barely worked even at their front desk!), this place has wifi that actually works which they proved after I had to call over to them and confirm that it did before I had to get a taxi over. Once there, even though I had only booked 1 hour before, I got upgraded to a huge room for my first 2 nights w/a mini fridge (all rooms have them). All staff was helpful-all of them spoke good English which was helpful as my Spanish is marginal. The breakfast was pretty good overall-lots of options and they had amazing pastries and cakes. Further, as the hotel is set way back there was no street noise. The location is actually great as well-highly convenient-right next to a supermarket and a few restaurants, close to the metro, about a 15 min. walk to Plaza de Armas. The kicker (and why I kept rebooking it after my first stay) is that it is about a 5 min. walk to the end of the line for the ”Centro Aeropuerto” bus line direct to the airport-each way I paid about $2 US to get back and forth to the airport 5 different times in about 30-45 mins. I save a ton of taxi money. Understand that this is not a super modern hotel in an upscale neighborhood like BellaVista but all the amenities were there and overall, the rooms are quite spacious and well designed. In short this was the perfect place for me to get around Santiago and to/from the airport. And the price, when including the breakfast, is a great deal overall. So glad my first hotel didn't end up working out in the end.

Hotel muito bem localizado. Boas instalações. Limpeza regular, dentro do armário, muita sujeira de nunca ser higienizado. Pouco local para guardar as roupas, apesar de possuir duas camas de casal. Hotel de passagem rápida duas ou três pernoites. Sempre faltavam toalhas de banho. Hotel oferece sabote liquido e shampoo, porém o sabonete liquido é limitado para algumas noites, deixamos o pote vazio e eles não repõe, na recepção ao questionar são grosseiros e dizem que era uma cortesia e dane-se você.

I stayed in the hotel for 6 nights during a business trip. PROS: the room (I stayed in room 311 which is a suite) was very spacious. Large living room, bedroom and bathroom. The room is very clean. The cleaning staff did an excellent job. Breakfast was delicious and the food was consistently refilled. Even 10 min before the end of the breakfast time, there was no shortage of anything. The bed was really comfortable. Probably one of the most comfortable hotel beds I have slept in. CONS: the check in process took forever. I arrived early in the morning after a long flight from NY. The young lady in the reception took about 30 minutes to check me in. She kept offering me to have breakfast while she was checking me in. Even after I got my room key, she still asked to keep my passport to finish the check in process. The WiFi was really slow and kept getting disconnected. Fortunately I didn’t have to work from the room. If I needed to, it would have been impossible. The decor is really dated. Looks like nothing has been changed since the 1990s. Overall I enjoyed my stay.

Fuimos por solo una noche , con mi hija , por lo general es un gusto que nos damos de vez en cuando, aprovechar, la piscina , los desayunos buffet y programar algún panorama cerca , la habitación muy amplia de las mejores que he estado, el aire acondicionado no era muy fuerte, y en los espacios públicos , se notaba un poco de calor, la piscina linda pero se le podría sacar más provecho , ya que entre otras cosas tiene un techo abierto, buena temperatura , pero quizás un poco abandonada, el desayuno cumple bien, personal atento y rápido, todo muy limpio, perfecta ubicación. Es probable que vuelva.
