Awful experience at this hotel. Check in is stated at 2pm so arrived around 3pm with my family (3 year old and a 4 month old.) I was told our room was not ready and we would have to wait. Waited an hour in the lobby (4pm) to be told again our room was not ready and hadn’t been cleaned. Again waited in the lobby and At 5.30pm and close to tears after watching numerous people check in and with a very bored 3 year old and a very tired baby I was again told my room was not ready, bearing in mind this was 3 and a half hours after the 2pm check in time stated online. Also during all of this I was told there were no baby changing facilities available at all in the lobby. No empathy from staff shown for my situation. After stating I would have to cancel and find alternative accommodation a room became available?! We eventually got a room closer to 6pm 4 hours after stated check in time when booking. No travel cot in room as requested bought brought to the room eventually. I am totally in shock with the treatment we have received. Would not recommend if travelling with children or if you want to spend your time sitting in a reception area instead of the room you have paid for!!! Some positives: nice breakfast, room was a good size, snack shop downstairs was handy, bar staff were lovely.

This hotel is well worth a visit. In a tastefully converted church and immediately adjacent to the best park in Nantes. We loved everything about the hotel - from the comfy beds to the delicious (and large) breakfasts. The decor is modern and imaginative. The location is quiet and safe and easily walkable to the castle, museums and shopping.

We had an issue with the floor of our bathroom being wet. After using the shower, we noticed it was leaking from under the bath. This was reported, but we were told as it was late it would not be possible to have it looked at. We were offered to move rooms, but as this was a joint room, we could use the bathroom of the other room so stayed. We mentioned the issue again the next day on check out and this receptionist was not aware but said she would have it looked at. The following day I had €200 deducted from my bank. I rang up to see why and was accused of making a mess in the bathroom, flooding it. I was told a technician could not find an issue and so it must be ‘guest error’. After multiple calls about the issue I finally received a call and was told that after a visit from a second technician, there actually was an issue and received an apology. While I appreciate the apology, I wasted a morning of my holiday worrying and dealing with this issue and do not appreciate having a random fine deducted from my card with absolutely no communication beforehand. There appears to be no system for staff to log issues reported by guests, as if the issue was communicated effectively to the morning staff, they would have been fully aware and would have had that staff members testimony. Instead I was told that they would have to wait until that staff member started later in the day to get ‘her side of the story’. In summary instead of receiving an apology for a fault in our room, we received an accusation and a fine. The poor communication made this all the worse. If this is the type of service Best Western are proud of, I will certainly not be returning or recommending your hotels.

The hotel is warm and close to airport, I stayed nighter of 4 th and then 8th December, in first room there were many different languages on the TV, on second stay there was only French, the other channels had not been tuned !!! Sheer laziness on behalf of the installer. At breakfast I took some cold meats, and in the ham there was a piece of plastic, see photo, I called the waitress over she took the plastic and said ‘Ah OK désolée’ then disappeared into the kitchen with it…. At no stage did she check the rest of the ham out in the restaurant… no offer to change my plate nothing……. On checking out I saw who I assume was the manager, I told her what had happened, no apology she just said ‘I will have a word with the waitress’ … that was it

the hotel is very good in the heart of Nantes 2 min walk to castle and good restaurants and bars. the room is practical and the snack option in the hotel is exactly what is needed. the hotel is very clean. will be staying again. Plus the crinkled linen bed sheets are perfect

PPengguna TetamuVery nice staff, pretty hotel, right across from the gare and tram, around the corner from the castle and old town center. Those are the “goods”. However, we were given family room 111 which faces the street. The air conditioning was not working well, and when we opened the windows, there was the sound of the train, people fighting, or couples. We asked to have the air fixed but were just as uncomfortable the second night. The “rooms” are separated by sliding bamboo curtains, which made it impossible to sleep until the last person went to bed. Breakfast was very sp**** at the €14 per person charge. But reception staff was impeccably nice. I think we would choose a real hotel with real beds and real doors next time.

Clean rooms. Comfy bed. Rain shower is a little bit too keen (totally fills the shower cubicle, so face is watered permanently making it hard to see) but good and hot, and there is the alternative shower head option . Location of hotel is dead central and so surrounded by lots of bars and restaurants. Didn't have time to try the breakfast but it looked good. A very slow lift though which only takes 2 people with luggage...gets a bit tedious for a group of 14 checking in. Ac in rooms works just fine. Decor of room is nice but like so many boutique hotels , nowhere to put your open suitcase other than on the floor. Thankfully it was only single occupancy for my room, otherwise that would have bwen even more dull. Nice place though for a short stay.

My little apartment was well laid out with a sliding door between the fairly spacious bedroom / kitchenette area and the reasonably sized bathroom (I was there on my own, so no idea what sound proofing is like). There's a decent number of lights of varying types. The bed was pretty comfortable, and a decent size. The kitchenette seemed fine although I was only there for one night, so didn't really use it much. There was a kettle, filter coffee machine (no filter coffee provided), a fridge and a mini dishwasher. I was provided with one coffee sachet, one tea and one hot chocolate, and packet of two biscuits. The WiFi is pretty good, with a simple login process. I never actually tried the tv during my few waking hours at the property. In shower is in a three quarters size bath - and the shower itself was reasonably strong, with good temperature controls. The shower gel was some generic bottle bolted to the wall, and wasn't the best. No other toiletries were provided. The only complaint I have with the hard product is the lack of aircon. There was a fan which I turned on overnight - but I should have probably set it to high, and set it to oscillate. The room seemed pretty warm with just me in it, so you'd definitely need something stronger if there's two of you! The property was let down by sloppy staff work. I got out of my shower to discover there was no towel. I later discovered that the bin hadn't been emptied. And when I was about to go to sleep I discovered that the bed hadn't been made properly - how hard is it to tuck in a base sheet properly? The staff at both checkin and checkout were very pleasant though, with decent english. And the midday checkout is good - apparently possible to extend to 2pm subject to availability, but I didn't need it, so didn't ask. There's a little section next to reception with items to purchase, but there's no minibar in the room. Breakfast is also available until 10am at weekends and finishes slightly earlier on weekdays (for 15 euro I think), but I didn't wake up in time to try it! The location is great for the main station (gare du nord) - less than a 15 minute walk through an area that felt pretty safe. I also walked home from the main bar area around Bouffay at 2am without any problems. It's also pretty easy to get to Residhome from the airport - you can either take the express bus (Navette Aeroport) for 10 euro to the main station. Or simply take bus 38 from the airport to the end of the line, and the grab a very regular bus 4 to Cite de Congres stop (with a handy Carrefour opposite) and then a pleasant walk (with some steps over a bridge) to the property. I'd happily stay at Residhome again if the price was right.

Excellent surprise for this hotel conveniently located between Nantes city center and on the way to the airport if catching a plane. I booked a one-night stay (04th - 05th December 2021) also based on the positive reviews read on Google and ***********. My stay in room 304 was extremely pleasant as the room is perfectly located on the courtyard, providing a quiet surrounding. The room itself is big and I was particularly impressed by its cleanliness. Furthermore, check in and check out at reception was very smooth and handled professionally. Talking to the reception team, it is obvious they genuinely like their job in the hospitality business. Their commitment, all the more resounding in this time of uncertainty, is pleasant and warm to witness. Next time in Nantes, I have found my preferred hotel :-)

PPengguna TetamuThe hotel was a little further out than I expected as it says central, also the room we were given was lovely but a few things need improving, the bathroom stunk of garlic when we arrived, just the bathroom and it went on opening the door and spraying perfume after a while but smelt liked they cleaned it with garlic oil, also there is no fan or air-conditioning and it was very warm, we had the windows open but both my daughter and I got eaten alive by mosquitos so a fan in the room would be helpful! Also was very noisy outside, building works opposite at 7am and uni students opposite the other way laughing and singing till the early hours so not much sleep between the noise, Hest and mosquitos! The actual room is lovely, with a kitchen area but just a few improvements would make it better.

Basic accommodation in central Nantes. Clean and quiet. Handily located directly across from the Tour Bretagne. No lift so not for the elderly or unfit. A reasonable value breakfast although you can do better if you're prepared to stretch your legs first thing in the morning. An ideal choice for the budget traveller.

SSightsee51110191337Lots of positives about this stylish hotel-central location, with lovely boulangerie, buzzing local bistrot, a decent restaurant [La Piscine] and a supermarket all within yards.Lots of interesting artworks in the foyer. Friendly, helpful reception staff, comfortable bed and excellent shower. However , quite a few negatives too. No obvious person in charge, We gave up on a v expensive [20 euros pp] hotel breakfast Day 2 , when no staff appeared in dining room or kitchen and there was no-one to complain to at reception. Table d'O down the road did a lovely breakfast for less than half the price. A daft boy cleaned the room a couple of times , but left us with no toilet paper!Ordering a glass of wine [lunatically expensive as well] involved using a fancy gadget supposedly heating the wine to the perfect temperature....the poor , young receptionist broke two glasses in the process and the wine was lousy. Having said that, we weren't charged for it. And lastly-outwith the hotel's control - eight or nine Deliveroo drivers congregated at a corner opposite the hotel ,revving up and conversing really loudly till well after midnight. Can't help feeling the hotel was a bit pretentious- everything looked staged, right down to the intellectual books artfully displayed in the small lounge area. A nice hotel for a weekend stay , but lacked the comfort we'd have enjoyed when there for a week.

PPengguna TetamuThis hotel is excellent value for money. Very clean and staff excellent could not have been in a better location. I will definitely go back and stay with L’Hôtel. We used the airport shuttle bus. As you get off the bus keep the train line on your right. Just yards away are the steps upto the bridge. When you get to the top take the right turn and walk down the road don’t take the natural bend but cross over the road you’ll pass a restaurant/bar and the hotel is located a few yards away. Note when you go back to the airport by shuttle bus go to where you were dropped off and cross the road. Just before you get to the river the bus stop can be seen. Really easy both ways. We also used the trams which again is close to the hotel . The Nante voyage card included airport bus and trams. Enjoy your stay.
