Locanda Da Renzo

When we first arrived we were very surprised: the surroundings of this location are not what we expected. This nature around it is not very attractive and the highway is very close by. So close, that you can hear it, even though the sound is not that loud. That being said, the pool is great, there are many comfy lounge chairs, there is enough shade and a bath towel had been provided for in the room. Our room was spacious and the bed was good and very large (2 meters wide). There is no breakfast buffet, breakfast is being served at the table on the terrace and the offer is good, with a plate of fresh fruit and eggs cooked to order (great scrambled eggs) and other goodies. Only the quality of the bread was disappointing. There is no restaurant service during the day, the restaurant opens for dinner at 8 PM. For us the big down side is the fact that the restaurant is very popular and guests have access to the garden, where the rooms are situated. One evening, a group of about 8 people where having a drink at the poolside and were very noisy and loud, max 10 meters away from our room, way after midnight. We had to put earplugs in to be able to sleep. Another night a party was hosted on the terrace and again, earplugs were necessary (so 2 out of 4 nights). If not for the great service by Davide, we would have scored this location a 3, but his pleasant presence made us decide on a 4.

La carrellata di antipasti direi che era buona, anche i tagliolini all’astice. Della frittura mista per niente soddisfatta. Il servizio dopo la prima parte della cena non ci mi ha per niente soddisfatto. La cameriera si è stranita dopo che ci saremmo voluti fermare agli antipasti e solo due primi. Ci siamo sentiti quasi costretti ad ordinare ancora.

Sempre impeccabile, cortesia , pulizia e lietanze gustose. Ennesima visita in questo locale dove al solito gusto la fregola ai crostacei . Questa volta seguendo il loro consiglio ho gustato il muggine di Oristano che devo ammettere non ha niente da invidiare alla più nobile spigola.
