Hotel terbaik di Sintra

La ubicación del hotel no es del todo buena. No está cerca de nada, necesitarás el coche para llegar a cualquier sitio. El hotel en si se ve que tiene sus años. Las habitaciones están bien pero honestamente no para el precio que se paga. El agua de la piscina interior estaba fría, por lo que no pudimos disfrutar del spa. El buffet deja mucho que desear. La atencion del personal fue muy buena.

We arrived in Sintra by train from Lisbon and walked to the hotel (down a steep staircase). It was too early to check in so the hotel staff kept our luggage while we took an uber to Pena Palace and then walked to the Moorish Castle and back to town. We ate lunch at Bacalhau na Vila (delicious) and then checked in to the hotel. The room was simple and clean with a lovely view out the back with french doors (Room #14- very good location within the hotel). Nice modern bathroom with toiletries and hair dryer (no wash cloths which is typical in Portugal). We visited Quinta Da Regaleira after lunch- the hotel staff was great but did tell us it was a flat walk -beware - there are no flat walks in this town!! (: We had dinner reservations across the street at Incomum Luis Santos and the food & service was excellent. In the morning, a complete breakfast is served downstairs and there is a porch and patio area. It was very nice. Unfortunately, the staff have to make each cup of coffee and we drink a lot so felt bad to keep asking! The hotel is very clean and the staff are wonderful. Amazing value.

Rating 0/5 - Exceptions to this RATING - Are the polite & extremely helpful Jessica @ the front desk & Andre the Rooms Manager who went out of their respective ways to meet any requirements needed. Firstly, my reservation was booked 2 months prior yet NO NOTIFICATION that the Hotel name & brand had changed a couple weeks prior. With a few street signs & the massive New Name signage on the hotel marquis , I was not notified of the NH Re- Branding. I was told that ALL guests were notified of this Change of Corporate Re- Branding . When I explain this to the Day front Desk Manager his reply was nothing they can do as it all comes from Head Office (poor apology ). I checked all previous correspondence & no such emails were received by me despite being assured that notifications were sent to all arriving guests! After an 8 hour flight from Toronto Canada & driving past the hotel 3 times up & down one way streets, finally parked & asked where is the Tivoli Sintra Hotel? I was directed in its direction. Jessica @ the front desk walked back with me to my car ( got in with my wife & I ) & guided us through the streets to the hotel. Wonderful ! Andre was most attentive & any request was followed through with the expertise & care of a 5 star manager (a hand written note expressing his desire to be of service should we require anything) was in our room . COMMENDABLE! Now my rating is based not on these two wonderful caring staff But the other staff & room encounters. The shower head kept falling down on the bar so could only be used by hand . The evening front desk manager came to the room & apologizing said it would be repaired in the morning, still not corrected by next day. I asked for 4 towels as the shower floor was soaking wet ( said could give us ONLY 2 ) from the ill functioning shower-head, also the sink faucet spout that spewed water over the entire area (poor design) choice. The house maid came & cleaned entire bathroom that evening so we could still use it the next day - lovely lady despite no English we gestured what was required and she met our expectations. The following day we went @9:30 pm for a late light dinner. After being seated by a bus boy who did not provide us with table settings, we waited 10 minutes as the Waiter walked by us twice with no acknowledgment as to our presence (saying he would be with us momentarily would have been considerate). He proceeded to serve another table 3 feet from us, who were asking for additional drinks as they were obviously there for some time dining. We finally got up from the table & in dismay the waiter looked at us. We stated that being ignored & as guests of the hotel were upset with this level of disrespect & lack of hospitality professionalism. Lastly, I had sent an email at the time of booking advising of this being a special 70 th Birthday trip for my wife, to the hotel Manager that any niceties that could be offered would be appreciated. We came for 2 nights here in Sintra and this B&B was fantastic. The beds were the most comfortable beds we've had in a hotel room, the room wad tidy, modern and clean. Breakfast was delicious and had a range of nice options. The bread and croissants were particularly good. Service was brilliant throughout. We arrived very late (1am) but we found the check-in super easy thanks to Mariana. Overall, a great place to stay. Highly recommended.

Decent place to stay if you have a car. Several miles from Sintra historic center area, but we left early enough to get a free spot in a neighborhood a few blocks from the National Palace, so that helps. Room was typical BASIC Ibis. Not enough pillows (just ONE per person); towels (again, only ONE total, per person, or trash cans (again, ONE TINY one). No fridge!! No coffee maker. NO ICE machine available for public use in the entire hotel! Very tricky parking spaces. They have about 15-20, which are free, on surface lot, but need to pay if park in structure below...only 3 euros, but they should just make it free. The bar/restaurant area was decent and convenient; fair prices for quick dinner. Breakfast 8.50 euros, but very limited continental breakfast only; not hot items... We chose to eat elsewhere and was less expensive. Not many places to eat in immediate vicinity. There is a very convenient Lidl and Auchan (large grocery/gen merch store) to stock up on supplies before heading out. Internet wasn't working our first night, but was ok the next night. In summary, inexpensive, basic, clean room for the night, but definitely no friils. Would recommend staying here, as long as aware of basic/limited amenities

This is a rather elegant Pousada which is managed by the Pestana Hotel chain. Checking in at Reception was painless and swift. The staff generally were pleasant and friendly. Our bedroom was on the ground floor overlooking the car park. We needed to keep the windows closed for security and the curtains closed for privacy. The bedroom was pleasantly furnished and in good condition. The bed was king size and very comfy. There was plenty of hanging space for clothing The size of the room left very little space to conveniently store suitcases. The room was equipped with a refrigerator but no mini bar. There was also a television which as far as I could tell only had Portuguese programs. I could not find any English language programs. This did not really a problem because I was staying at this hotel for a limited time and did not want to watch TV. The bathroom was en suite with both a bath and a shower. The bath was useless because it did not have a bath plug and the hotel staff were unable to find a bath plug for me. There was plenty of tepid warm water for washing. However you need to have patience to have hot water. Hot water took a lifetime before it reached our room Our bedroom must have been some distance from the boiler because other guests did not suffer the same problem. A lot of water was wasted while waiting for the hot water. This was not a good way to “Save the Planet” as instructed by a sign / notice on display in the bathroom from the hotel management. The plug in the wash hand basin did not work properly. As you will realise having a wash in this hotel was a bit of an ordeal. Buffet breakfast had lots to chose from with a choice hot and cold dishes. The Lounge bar is comfortable and pleasantly furnished. Apart from the lack of bath plugs, the hotel is in good condition and decorative order.

This is a very mixed review. The hotel is beautiful overall and steeped in history. The public areas are very nice and there are lots of interesting corners to relax in. The breakfasts are excellent and the staff very pleasant. However, we booked a superior room which cost nearly 250 euros per night, and we did not enjoy a superior experience. The balcony terrace area was lovely, overlooking the forest, but despite there being plenty of room there were just two upright chairs out there. A table and sun loungers would have made it so much better and more comfortable. The room itself was small and dark, and the bathroom in dire need of renovation. There was a large crack in the basin and black marks in the bath, and everything just very tired. Because of this, it didn't feel very clean. The beds were uncomfortable with very bouncy mattresses, so we did not sleep well. We expected a lot more from such an expensive stay and the label 'superior room'. This was not a five-star experience.
