"After finding out where the hotel was located (in an alley, 3rd floor), it was super easy to do everything else I wanted. It may be far from the fancy malls or parks but I kind of prefer it that way, so I can experience more of the city while walking to the subway and possibly having to switch around lines. The staff is nice and efficient, the walls are a bit thin but honestly as a solo traveler, I don't really mind. The smell of smoke was really bad but only for the first day. Its a nice small single bed room with its own bathroom that entices you not to stay too long, I enjoy it and it will probably be one of the hotel's I look at every time I travel to shenzhen. (just please, make it a little easier to find the hotel for new visitors haha)"

You can get out from Exit C of Laojie Metro Station or Exit E of Guomao Metro Station, and it takes about 8 minutes' walk to reach the hotel. Surrounding the hotel, there is the bustling Dongmen Laojie Commercial Pedestrian Street in Shenzhen, various large-scale shopping plazas, and a wide variety of delicious foods. Within a 500-meter walk, you can reach the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, China Merchants Bank, China Construction Bank, Bank of China, and other financial institutions.
The hotel lobby and the guest rooms on the 5th and 6th floors feature a light luxury and fashionable style, with a comfortable and clean environment. "I extended my stay for an extra day and booked an economy room. The room was clean and well-maintained, with complete facilities, and it was relatively quiet. Both the front desk staff and the cleaning crew were very friendly. It's very close to the old street, making shopping and transportation super convenient. The hotel also has a dedicated laundry room with a dryer, and the front desk provides small packets of laundry detergent, which is really handy and enhances the overall travel experience!"

MM30975****It was a complete surprise. I was planning to book a different place if it didn't work out, since there weren't any exhibitions recently and there were plenty of hotels nearby. But this place was unexpectedly great, with incredibly high value for money, far exceeding the price. It's a standalone apartment building with a unified reception area and excellent facilities. Clothes washed on the balcony dried overnight. I took the subway, and the map navigation was slightly off track after I exited, but I found it quickly after contacting the host and checked in myself. Looking back, the subway exit was incredibly close. I stayed for two days to attend a lecture, and even came back to rest at noon. The experience was excellent; they even delivered food, making it a better stay than most budget hotels.

The hotel's location is superb, just a 10-minute walk to the subway station, with plenty of great food options and shopping malls nearby – super convenient for getting around. The room was clean and tidy, the bedding was soft and comfortable, and the soundproofing was excellent, ensuring a great night's sleep every night. The facilities were very user-friendly, with high-speed WiFi, ample hot water, and smart climate control air conditioning all readily available. The service was impeccable; the front desk staff were warm and attentive, and the check-in/check-out process was smooth. The cleaning staff were meticulous, cleaning every day and leaving even the corners spotless. It offers incredible value for money, perfect for both leisure and business trips. I've already recommended it to friends and will definitely choose Huancheng Hotel again for my next stay!

The room's cleanliness was so-so. The bed was clean, but upon entering, I noticed the area around the sink was wet, there was mold behind the sink, and leftover fruit pulp was also present 😵💫. It seems the cleaning staff didn't clean thoroughly. Despite this, the front desk staff were very helpful and offered me another room to change into, but because that room was smaller and had other issues with the facilities, I ultimately didn't change. So, the staff cleaned the area around the sink in my original room instead.
Regarding facilities, the washbasin had several noticeable long cracks, making it look worn and old, but it was functional. The bathroom walls were all glass, with a curtain for the shower area, but no curtain for the toilet. This might be acceptable for couples, but very awkward for groups of friends. The glass door to the toilet had large gaps, so the sound of someone using the toilet could be clearly heard from outside, and I imagine the smell would waft out. The room wasn't completely soundproof; I could hear coughing from next door, though the volume was low and acceptable. Although it was a non-smoking room, I could smell smoke in the middle of the night; the smell wasn't strong, but it was still somewhat uncomfortable.
Overall, there were some shortcomings, but considering the price, I think it's worth considering. However, I wouldn't recommend it if you have high standards for accommodation.

From Metro Hubei exit C just walk 2building 50-70meter than turn right 30meter will find the Apartment and ask the security to Jufuyuan, they will help to the front desk at floors 17th. Dongmen Pedestrian Street is walking distance and you can find everything you want.

GGuest UserLocation is peak, there are 2 separate stations within walking distance or you may use wechat/alipay to rent bicycle that is always available around the hostel or subway stations. Also you can find alot of cafes and artisan shops around the area (which are quite pricey) but there is a cheap breakfast and supper place just over the building opposite of the entrance.
Staffs are very friendly, there are a few free activities to join hosted throughout the week which is posted on the wall near the front counter. Their common spaces are also very clean and aesthetically pleasing.
Only towels and slipper are provided, so do bring your own toothbrush, comb, shampoo, etc.
Overall, an incredible place to stay for how much you are paying.

GGuest UserThe ratings are misleading. Good location in the centre of a neighbourhood, clean, had what was needed, fantastic personnel, so-so price...and I will never stay here again because of issues that these categories do not measure.
In three days I had four rooms: Room 1’s electricity abruptly died in the middle of the night, room 2 was just a temporary room until the electricity was fixed (it was not fixed because maintenance personnel were on holiday), room 3 was just room 1 with problems that I will reference next, and room 4 was where I finally ended my reservation early from.
The hotel requires dexterity to navigate, and is NOT accessible for people with mobility issues. Rooms 1, 2, and 3 were lofts that required carefully climbing (not walking) a tiny staircase which you WILL fall and die from if you are not careful, to get to the bed above a sunken lower area. Room 1’s view was of the adjacent bus depot. Room 2 had no windows. Room 3’s view was of an alley. For room 4, I took the lift only to find an odd step up that my roller bags needed manually lifting over since the lift’s entryway is not level with the actual third floor, and a similar step up existed in the shower of room 4, which is also a dangerous falling or tripping hazard. Very chabuduo layout. I finally left because of the stench. Unavoidable sewer smell is not something that people staying in a hotel should have to live with.
NO rooms were soundproofed; everything from outside was always audible, and so was neighbour dialogue in nearby rooms. I did not sleep well at all for the two nights that I stayed, and neither will you. I chose this hotel because it seemed to be the best deal in Nanshan, but after returning to Shenzhen I remembered that I can just take the metro easily if I do need to get to Nanshan, and that suffering in a hotel with this many problems is not worth saving a few minutes of travelling.
Trust me, skip this one. 4.5 out of 5 for Trip's metrics of location, cleanliness, service, and facilities, but 1 out of 5 for experience.

Check-in/Check-out: ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ Check-in was quick, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The process was smooth, and I didn’t encounter any issues. The same goes for check-out—it was simple and hassle-free. The staff were accommodating and made sure I had everything I needed for a smooth departure.
Room Quality: ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ The room itself was very clean and comfortable. I appreciated the modern decor and amenities, such as free Wi-Fi and a flat-screen TV. The bed was cozy, which made for a restful night’s sleep. My only minor issue was that the room felt a little smaller than expected, but nothing that really detracted from the overall comfort.
Staff Service: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The staff at Estay Residence really stood out. From the front desk to housekeeping, everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to make sure I had everything I needed, and their local recommendations were spot on. I felt well taken care of throughout my stay.

GGuest UserThe hotel's location is excellent, making it incredibly convenient for getting around. The design perfectly blends modern art with natural elements, and stepping into the room instantly washes away any fatigue. The room itself is spacious and bright, offering panoramic city views from the window, and the bedding is so soft it guarantees a great night's sleep. The front desk staff are warm and attentive. Every corner of this hotel reflects meticulous care, making it a perfect choice for both business and leisure. It also offers great value for money, definitely a hotel I'd choose to stay at again!

YYAULEIThis hotel is located only on the 6th floor of a building behind the pedestrian walk only with limited rooms.
Distance is near to shopping and restaurants very convenient.
There's an issue I'd booked a total of 3 rooms. 1 room with king bed (some with window) and 2 rooms with 2 beds with city view windows, but the hotel gave us the 2 rooms without windows due to customers occupying they didn't check out on the time we arrived. While the king bedroom has a window. I was very disappointed. The lady boss agreed to change the next day if there's a vacant room with a window(back street, not city view). The hotel claimed that the info trip.com provided about the room was not accurate, and it wasn't the hotel problem.
Although the room design was quite nice and well equipped but the whole floor smelled smoky. The air ventilation fan was filled with dust and not working well it stopped halfway.
There's no place to walk after opening up the luggage. So I moved the 2 beds together to make more space.
The service is ok. We requested extra towels and wifi connection they provided immediately
The room opposite us has window sleep with the door opened. I saw the window outside the back street.
My sister and old mother inlaw could not stand the strange smell, and I myself was allergic to cigarette smoke, so we decided to cancel the next day.
It's too bad no window. If there's a window, at least we can get some fresh air and will stay for another night. The hotel said it was trip.com giving the wrong details about the room, and we should report to the app customer service.
The lady boss doesn't understand English, so I changed the app into chinese language, and she helped me to cancel the rooms with reason ”the change of trip itinerary” in chinese. I can read a little bit but didn't care to amend the real reason for cancelation anymore as long as we can leave the hotel asap.
To be honest, this hotel is only suitable for smokers. It's not a good choice for family with kids and old parents. Felt sorry for my family for booking this hotel.
