Private Soup Holiday Villa by the Sea in Shenzhen is a lovely spot right in front of the beach. The room we had was modern, super clean, and included a few smart features. Sea-facing rooms weren’t available during our stay, but the mountain view we had was still nice. The staff were friendly and helpful—they asked to be added on WeChat, which made it easy to request things like extra pillows, drinking water, or a late check-out. Using WeChat was convenient since we could translate their messages into English. We got there by taxi booked through DIDI from Luohu; the ride took about 70 minutes and cost around 130 yuan. Lastly don't miss out on visiting Dapeng Fortress and Dongshan Temple both about 15/20 minute walk away.

Highly recommended! This business hotel takes details and service to the extreme! With a superior location, it is close to Huaxin C Metro Station and sits in the mature Huaqiangbei core commercial district, offering excellent transportation connectivity and comprehensive living facilities, making it the top choice for business travel. The overall environment of the hotel is clean and tranquil, with high-quality decoration and an exceptional living experience. Room facilities have been completely upgraded, featuring high-end hardware and maximum comfort. The hygiene standards are exceptionally high, with meticulous cleaning, resulting in clean, bright rooms without any odors, where every detail is well-handled. The amenities are complete, with a 24-hour laundry room and a brand-new gym available at all times. The front desk concierge, Xiao He, provides warm, professional, efficient, and considerate service, responding promptly to any issues. The robot delivery service is extremely fast and accurate, making it very convenient. The three-meal services are rich and heartwarming, with nutritious and delicious Western and Chinese buffet breakfasts, exquisite afternoon tea, and sumptuous late-night snacks. Warm milk is provided every night, along with free laundry and package pickup services, offering excellent value for money!

I left 5-star ratings across all categories as I was informed that staff performance could be affected otherwise. The staff were helpful, responsive and polite throughout our stay. Unfortunately, the hotel itself was disappointing and not somewhere I would recommend. I booked this hotel after seeing videos online and noticing it was marketed as a luxury property on Trip.com. The sea view is beautiful, and there are some photo-worthy spots around the property. However, it quickly became apparent that the hotel prioritises aesthetics over the guest experience. There were several signs of cost-cutting, including thin walls and fixtures that felt poorly installed. For example, the sea view from the pool was stunning, but just beyond it was a messy, poorly maintained storage building, which detracted from the luxury atmosphere. Privacy was one of our biggest frustrations. Our balcony looked directly onto a neighbouring balcony on one side, and the pool area and photo-worthy staircase on the other. We specifically paid more for a room with a balcony and sea view, but barely used it during the day because it felt so exposed. To make matters worse, our neighbour was smoking, making it difficult to enjoy the space at all. We ended up spending more time at the pool instead, but that was very disappointing. There were several dead insects in the water, including beetles and flies, and only two sun loungers for guests. Every 20 minutes, photoshoots took place around us, making it difficult to relax or enjoy any sense of privacy. It was especially frustrating because we had already avoided using our balcony for the same reason. We were also only informed after check-in that the pool would be closed for maintenance the following day, meaning we couldn’t use it on our final morning. The biggest issue for us was the noise. There was a recurring loud thumping sound throughout the day and evening. We weren’t sure whether it was coming from hotel operations next door or the ongoing construction beside the property, which also made parts of the hotel feel dusty and unfinished. One issue was resolved after we reported it, but we were later woken around 5am by an extremely loud disturbance that sounded like firecrackers, which staff advised had come from other guests. Breakfast was also surprisingly limited, with only a Western or local set option and no flexibility to customise or choose individual items. Once you look beyond the social media appeal, the privacy, noise, facilities and overall build quality fell well short of what we would expect from a luxury hotel. In our opinion, this felt more like a 3-star property with 5-star service. Aside from the pool area, there was very little else within the property for guests to enjoy, making it difficult to justify its “luxury hotel” positioning.

The hotel is close to the airport, convenient for travel, the room is neat and tidy, and the staff Ella helped to delay check-out. There is a very big mall within 5 mins walking distance. Highly recommended if booking a place in Bao’an!

stayed at the UrCove by HYATT Shenzhen North over the weekend and had an excellent experience. The hotel was spotlessly clean, and the mattress was so comfortable that I enjoyed a great night's sleep. The breakfast was a real highlight—much better than most hotels in this category—offering a wide variety of delicious options. The location is prime, and parking was convenient, with plenty of spaces available even on a Saturday night. Although there was a slight smell of food in the hallway on my floor, it dissipated quickly once I turned on the air conditioning in my room. Overall, a highly recommended stay!

We loved our time here with the kids. The indoor & outdoor pool was clean and fun, and our room was spacious enough for the four of us. The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome. We will come back😊

Can’t beat the location of mandarin oriental if you want to be around the shopping area! Mandarin oriental hotel has impeccable service and the view of the room is stunning! Esp the view of the shower! Perfect for a shopping weekend with a bit of glamour! Breakfast is also excellent! Must try the MO coconut!

Everything was great. My boyfriend and I were happy with our weekend in this place. Of the minuses: the pool bar was very dirty, and to take pictures there you have to buy something at the bar. The price of our room included a gift, at the reception during the check-out the lady didn't give us anything, we had to remind her. Also the projector in our room didn't work, but they quickly fixed it for us. On the beach there really are no sunbeds and umbrellas, so it's almost impossible to hide from the sun.

The hotel location is nice and is located right opposite to the windows of the world area. The hotel is at a walkable distance to the happy valley as well. The breakfast options are decent as well. Recommend for stay with family

Located very close to the main walking/shopping street, friendly staff at reception and a nice reception lobby where you can sit. We stayed on 45th floor and the the rooms are specious with an amazing view. The washing machine has a dryer in it too. The hotel has a delivery robot. The room has a big fridge and the bed is comfortable. Overall a great stay, would recommend. Reception is located on the 28th floor
