I booked a King room online. When I arrived I tried asking for a different room, because I needed two queens. I was told very RUDELY my room had already been ASSIGNED (a handicap accessible room, which I did not request). I proceeded to go to the room with my spouse and two children. We walked pass the clerk, and made it to the hallway on the second floor. She YELLED that we couldn't stay in the room. The kids couldn't sleep on the floor. (WTH!). I would NEVER let that happen. She also mentioned it was a fire hazard. I went back down to the desk. I should have left immediately, but everyone was exhausted. My kids were horrified! There were only 7 or 8 other vehicles in the parking lot, and she made a huge ordeal about switching us to the other room. A room that was so dirty we had to clean it, before we could get any rest. It literally looked like it was used for their break room. My husband wouldn't even let me enter the bathroom, until he cleaned up the mess in the toilet. We decided not to have breakfast the next morning. I just wanted to settle up any difference in costs and leave. When I arrived at the desk a different clerk was working, but the other was still hanging around. I asked to speak with a manager. She proceeded to tell her what I had requested. The clerk I had dealt with the night before walked over and told me she was the manager. When I informed her I wanted to check out and pay any difference I might owe, she informed me that there wasn't any additional charge according to her manager. What? I just took my receipt, handed her the room key, and left.
