Hands down best stay so far during my 15 days in Japan and the service is really immaculate. I've been to Japan on several solo trips and this is easily one of the most memorable hotels. The staff are really nice and the hotel room view is incredible. The room they upgraded me to speaks for itself, beautiful bathroom and really good amenities. Although the hotel is situated off the mainland, there is a portliner rail service and also a complementary shuttle service to two of the main stations in Kobe city area. Really value for money.

Hotel Okura Kobe is easy to spot near the harbour area and provides good service in bringing guests over to its hotel. The free shuttle bus service from and to Sannomiya Station made it easy to check in and out from the hotel, and the frequent timings were a bonus in helping us navigate the area. We got a free upgrade to a deluxe room and was pleasantly surprised with the size and quality of the room. Customer service was great and staff were very friendly, with most of them having a good knowledge of English.
However, laundry services are not very desirable as there is no fixed system. Asked for the key at 7pm and was told to wait until 830 as it was currently occupied, which was fair as it was in use. At 830, call was made to the bell counter and confirmed that it was our turn, but by the time we made our way down from our room to the bell counter (in the span of 3 minutes or so), we were informed that the key was given to someone else as no confirmation was made by the staff to ensure that the person who came to collect the key was actually from our room. However, the following staff on duty were good in resolving the issue as they provided alternative solutions to help with our laundry, although it did take a longer time than expected.
Everything was good, but if laundry is a huge motivation for you to book this hotel, then you might want to reconsider.

This hotel location is in Shin Kobe JR station, convenient only if you want to have an easy commute to JR Shinkansen. Otherwise, I do not recommend staying this area as Sannomiya option is much better for more central location to connect to places even though the subway line is underneath this hotel as well. Things I don't like about the hotel is that it's old and travel during winter has no cold AC as it's central heating and dry, you cannot change the AC temperature. Breakfast is quite good so I suggest you to try it if you stay here (the hotel will give you two options - regular buffet or japanese set, I recommend the regular as it is buffet with options and you can find local Japanese food item there too).

Amazing view of the port and landmarks. Such a chill place to stay and relax. The ocean view buffet breakfast was another level, food was great and even greater with the view and music.
One point is that maybe it’s an older hotel, the noise proof is not enough, I can feel my bed shake when neighbor closing their door. Also there were many small small bugs flying near the window. But overall it’s a fantastic experience. Will visit again when in Kobe.

Absolutely recommend this hotel! For the price and facilities, it was a great deal. Very spacious and clean rooms with very clean onsens that are available to both public and private. The public onsen was much bigger and looked nicer than the private one. Great for couples and / or families with kid older than 7 year olds. Would recommend families and friends to join. They do have a shuttle bus to & from the hotel to Sannomiya station.

Was here for work on a short trip. Staff are very kind and the rooms were clean. They also have a family mart attached to the building next door so it was convenient to get a nibble. There's a direct shuttle bus to downtown sannomiya so that was really nice as well. would recommend.

Simply such a blessing experience. Didn’t come to my head will have staff speaking Mandarin, location is a bit of a trouble if carrying big luggages, they offer pick up service at limited time. Almost no taxi at sight if arriving after 8 at night, can walk but very tiring, not recommended at all. Breakfast is traditional Japanese style, have a souvenir shop in the lobby, vending machine outside, main door will be closed at night, have to contact staff if wanting to go out real late. The tea provided is such a satisfaction, even the tea bag in room is good.
Water in room is HOT for people loves a hot bath after all the sightseeing and daily life.

友情提示，雖然我們提前開通了國際漫遊但依然無法撥通酒店電話，因此使用了現場郵件溝通，沒想到接站人員也很快過來了。建議如果無法打通電話除了郵件聯繫也可讓遊客中心的服務人員或便利店的小哥幫忙電話聯繫。

the room is huge for our family of 3! love it and there is hot spring bath, although is a distance away from the hotel, is worth going for it to detox. the hotel surroundings were great photo spots too, highly recommended.

TTan SH DennisDormy has been a fave of mine. The last time I patronise Dormy was 2023. I have since moved on to Nono. My recent visit to Dormy, Kobe was a by default due to the absence of Nono. Moreover, its Onsen is well designed and the better than most hotels in Kobe.
Areas Dormy should improve on:
1. Overcrowded breakfast experience. Some kind of timing or queue sequencing (like Nono) should be in place.
2. Food quality has dropped! Prawn tempura and katsu are with minimal meat and mostly flour! Fruits and salad are so low in selections and quality.
3. Seating management was overwhelmed by tour groups. This also made breakfast experience lousy!
Either specify timing for tour group breakfast or extend breakfast timing to ensure better spread of guests.
4. Low quality F&B: Rice was cooked in the most non-Japanese way! Staffs were unenthusiastic. Food decoration also sloppy! The 前菜 look unappertising!
5. Amenities area adjacent to the bath. Rethink how to ensure the cleanliness and safety. The place is very often overflowing with ice cubes and used paper cups ; and wet floor near the machines.
Trip.com provides good discount. It is time to segregate offerings based on level of privacy and comfort; and Hotels that take on tour-groups and non Tour-group. This will great help in hotel choice-making.

AAriel Kenneth AmpolThe basics done right. This is what Sotetsu Fresa Inn Sannomiya does well. It's a fantastic location less than 5 minutes away from Sannomiya Station, which is the heart of transportation in Kobe. The facilities are basic, but done really well. The beds are comfy and the water is indeed soft. I enjoyed my stay.

CCresSoStaffs speak decent English. You should have no problem checking in. Nice staff. They provide shuttle bus between hotel and the bus station, all you have to do is ask the information centre to call the hotel for you and they will pick you up from the station. The private bath IS NOT hot spring tho. But the hot spring, especially the golden one, the outdoor ones are excellent. Great view great feel. The dinner is ok(not bad~and everything is fresh. We were just expecting more. I heard the dinner in your room would be even better but of course you’d also have to pay more) but the breakfast is really good. Again, not that the dinner is bad. Definitely worth the price. If you go to Arima Onsen, the hot spring in the hotel should be enough. Nice experience.

EeddiehappyA historic hotel. Traditional Japanese rooms with private hot springs on a first-come-first-served basis. Location is excellent. A bit old but that is what I was looking for- a nostalgic feel. Not many amenities as it is an old hotel. No complaint.

PPengguna TetamuIt was a lovely hotel- location was great just 3 mins walk from Kobe sanomiya train station. And the hotel looks and smells new. Check in was a breeze via the machine but there is always someone friendly to help. They even have complimentary drinks and dessert each night 8-10pm. The triple room is spacious with enough room to open luggages. A very good find with the price point and location. 24 hour Don DONKI is just opposite the hotel. Will definitely stay again

PPengguna TetamuDidn't realized it will be on top of a hill. We got delayed on our train from Kansai, hence arrived a bit late to Arima, tried to call for shuttle but was unsuccessful hence we run up the hill which we thought was just a small distance, but it was much, we've finally arrived to the hotel at 7:30pm a bit earlier than their published latest check in time of 8:00pm. We were told dinner won't be serve after 7pm, we rushed all the way for nothing. They should have also published that on the website to avoid people like us planning a trip to Arima to experience aside from the onsen but also for the traditional Japanese meals. Anyway, after negotiation they did served us the dinner and it was tasty and sumptuous.
Aside from the small issue about the dinner, this place is clean & quiet, staffs were very nice and attentive, the onsen are relaxing and we got a very good night sleep.
Will still recommend this hotel, but remember to tell them about your arrival time and book the shuttle bus.

CCookie118Location is really good 5 - 10 minute walk from the train station (sannomiya) and ikuta jinja. Their is also a matusya right next to the hotel that is 24 hour, so it is perfectly for breakfast and dinner. There is also a lawsons 30 seconds away which is very convenient. The room was very clean and the amenities were very good too. The staff at the front desk also spoke some English, which made the check-in and check-out much easier, plus it was 24h too. I didn't have any issues but if you do the staff will be able to help you.

CCar-PhilippinesThe service was very good and the amenities we can take as many as needed. The food was very good also. Though the staff did not call to remind for our checkout time and we were 30mins late to checkout, the hotel did not charge us since it was New Year as their compliment for their customer. So thank you so much Hotel Sunroute Sopra-Kobe and looking forward to stay here again when we go back here in Kobe 😉

KKK一個字”正”。這間名小都里是對上面另一間温泉酒店的別苑。有供應懷石料理，火煱晚膳。晚上食餐要向上走一分鐘，所以必定是去7/F共浴温泉先浸浸，然後去用餐。每天每房可以訂家庭共俗間(其兩間)45分鐘。到步前可以打電話約車在車站接送，酒店會事先發電郵告知。包兩餐都很豐富，食材味美，有牛和魚供應。中間大堂有自助水吧，有冷熱綠茶，咖啡等。入住房間沒廁所，要使用共廁，不過十分乾淨。走路下去温泉街約10分鐘，那裏可以花上半天時間。
