This is essentially a budget hotel with a great location. I was given an odd room, so maybe that's why it was a bit small. The hallway smelled a bit weird, and the shower drained in a strange way. But it had a TV and coffee and it got the job done!

This hotel boasts a fantastic location, conveniently close to public transportation. The rooms are impeccably clean, ensuring a comfortable stay. However, do note that it can get quite busy due to its popularity.

I’m all for standardization, as long as it’s premium & this place was great. Spacious, clean, well-lit room and bathroom. Helpful staff and service. Good breakfast. Location is walkable from the downtown area (650m). Plenty of restaurants on a walking distance. Spacious and well equipped fitness area. Overall our stay was pleasant.

I had a great time staying there. Service, accommodation and food was good. Free airport shuttle service back and forth. Nearby restaurant and coffee shop available within walking distance. Overall excellent.

Got to the hotel a little after 9 am as my flight got in earlier than expected. It was raining and cold. Was wondering if they'd have a room that early to give me and yes they did😁😃😄I was checked in immediately and given a room on the 29th floor. Lovely room with a view of CN TOWER. Nothing was lacking. Room was fully equipped with all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. All the staff I encountered during my 4 night's stay was very pleasant and helpful. I am looking forward to my next trip to Toronto in August and I will be rebook this hotel for sure. I would definitely recommend staying here. Thanks to everyone there who made my stay there a memorable one.

We were happy of the place and the location. We were supposed to give 5 star. But an incident happened when we left. I requested for a cab to bring us to Billy Bishop airport and a lady assisted us well. We were informed that the cab is already outside, we placed all our stuffs in the cab and we sat inside ready to leave. But another guy also requested for a cab right after us. A very accommodating and friendly staff (Indian) helped us bring our luggages outside. (He was really kind, assisted us regardless of our nationality.) But when we were about to leave the guy (White, could be America ) who also asked for a cab webt outside assuming that our cab was his. The front desk (Chinese) asked the other staff (Indian) to ask us out of the cab, the Indian guy explained that we asked for a cab first but the Chinese guy didn't bother to listen. All he wants was for us to get out of the cab, didn't even apologize.

Stayed for one night before my flight. Good location, close to the airport and lots of restaurants within a reasonable walking distance. Rooms are well equipped, although the air conditioning was a disappointment. There is a control on the wall, which is misleading because the air conditioner is a separate unit. However, the air conditioner shuts off when the area near it reaches the temperature setting, while the room will be warmer. Setting the air conditioner at the coldest setting created a reasonable temperature but I would be concerned on a very hot day. I found the service to be generally polite, although not always helpful in accommodating requests. I asked for a quiet room with a bathtub. While I got the bathtub, the room faced the road, which was noisy at times. I had called the hotel a few days in advance so it should not have been an issue to accommodate both requests. I arranged the shuttle to the airport the day before required, but when inquiring about it, to make sure I didn't miss it, one of the front desk attendants (white woman with a Slavic name if I remember correctly) was quite rude. Apparently she doesn't understand the worry about getting to the airport on time since the shuttle only runs every 40 minutes so it would be an issue to miss it. The common facilities are good. The lobby lounge and breakfast area are nice and there is a beautiful courtyard in the centre of the hotel. The pool area was nice and there is a sauna, although note that it is on a timer so you need to get there early to let it warm up. The pool and sauna close at 10pm, which I thought was early as an 11pm closing would be helpful. The menu of the restaurant looked good, prices reasonable and a decent selection of beer for discerning drinkers. Breakfast was good but for the price, they should provide some vegetables for a salad. Overall, a reasonable stay and I would give the hotel another opportunity. I would pass on the breakfast though next time, provided there is time in the morning, as there is a Denny's nearby

My wife and I recently spent three nights at the TownPlace Suites hotel in Markham, Ontario. We booked the room with our Bonvoy points, so I can’t comment on price. Markham is a suburb about 15 miles north of Toronto. We picked this location since it was near relatives we were visiting. It’s located on a fairly busy highway with various commercial businesses nearby. There is a Chinese restaurant (QJD Peking Duck), which we did not visit, on the first floor. The thirteen-story building actually holds two Marriott properties: Courtyard by Marriott on floors 2 - 8 and TownPlace on floors 9 - 14. The registration desk serves both hotels. The lobby has several areas for socializing. There also is a Bistro/Bar area. Conference rooms, a business center and a spa are off to the side. A fitness center and indoor pool are on the lower level. Wifi is free. Surprisingly, parking is not. Signs say that it costs $6 Canadian per day to park in the attached multi-level garage, but we apparently were not charged. Check-in was courteous and efficient. You need your keycard to access the elevator. TIP: There is no 13th floor; the elevator buttons go from 12 to 14! We were assigned room 915. TIP: the room was almost across the hall from the ice machine and one wall of the room directly abutted the elevator bank. While the noise was neglible, you might want to keep this in mind if you’re a very light sleeper. The room was clean and decorated in what I would call ikea style. It was like living in a studio apartment. A flat screen TV was on a two-drawer chest/dresser. A wall-mounted desk had overhead shelving, a vertical cupboard, desk chair and rollout table. The kitchen section had a sink, two-burner electric range top, coffee pot, microwave, dishwasher (!) and fairly large refrigerator. There were multiple cabinets and drawers filled with practically every kitchen item you’d need: pots, pans, dishes, flatware, soap, etc. And if they’re still something you might need, chances are you can get it from the front desk. (See pic.) A full-size closet contained an iron/ironing board. No sign of a safe. The sitting area contained a loveseat, ottoman and floor lamp. The king-size bed had five pillows. The bed was a little soft, but comfortable. It was flanked by nightstands and wall-mounted lamps with electric outlets. 
The bathroom was average-sized. The vanity had lots of counter space and several drawers. And a hair dryer. The shower was quite large, taking up about a third of the room. There was wall-mounted hand soap and hair/body wash (in the shower) by ALICE & Co+ botanicals. Shower pressure and temperature were fine. TIP: Don’t be alarmed when you flush the toilet - the sound is comparable to that generated by an airplane commode. Breakfast was included with the room and was served on the 14th floor. I’m appalled! Im a member of Marriott, so I chose to stay in this hotel every single time when I was in the area. Lately my experience with this hotel has been terrible! Last time they charged me $250 because someone reported my dog attacked a kid! They didn’t even investigate it until I called 6 times!(the girl worked at the front desk told me the manager will be there in 1-2 hours so I left my number. A few hours later I called to ask, I called the wrong number so it went to booking department, I explained what happened and asked to be transferred to front desk girl, because she is the one charged me $250. And guess what! Instead of talking to me, she made the booking department lady to tell me”She said that the manager will call you as soon as he’s back” I insisted on checking the security cameras and there were nobody got attacked!!! got my money back and their explanation was”someone too advantage of the hotel for a free night.”. So they made me pay for the night??? And I don’t even know why I stayed here again last night! I couldn’t believe my eyes ! What is going on with this duvet??!!!! I didn’t want to have any trouble with people when I’m traveling by myself so I only requested for another blanket, but it never came, so I spent a night without blanket. I was going to show the front desk these pics but my phone was dead and I was in rush to go to my appointment. Anyways I’m done with this hotel!
