Perfect stay and good memories - I will return again this place

Of all the hotels on our tour- this was our absolute favorite! The gardens, the ambiance, the unique rooms and absolutely stunning flowers that bloom everywhere? Absolute paradise, a hidden gem ages in the making and an absolute highlight of our once in a lifetime adventure. We had the EMO room with its gorgeous view from the window of its garden and the huge bathroom with amazing, fully functional bathtub! Everyone on staff was friendly, helpful, and we enjoyed the restaurant that fed our tour group and the lovely breakfast spread each morning. Everything about the hotel, it’s grounds? And the island it was situated on was a delightful escape from our hectic tour group, the crowds in Venice, and daily grind. A hidden paradise worthy of pure appreciation!

We have stayed in hotel in the middle of September (13.09.-20.09.).Building of the hotel is very interesting, old details with modern facilities. Rather big garden with old trees, plenty of different chaise-longs where we could sit surrounded by rich greenery. I was pleasantly surprised that there was no big/bold TV screen, instead a normal size monitor, tastefully placed in the corner of room. Our room was spacious, comfortable and with many storage options. Hotel location allows to reach public transport in few minutes, as well in short time to be at the boat terminal. As always, personnel makes difference and our stay and Venice would not be so memorable without hotels’ team: we enjoyed warmth, friendliness, we felt sincerely welcomed.

Beautiful space. Great people. And location is close to everything. They also have their own pier to assist you with getting around. 100% love this place!

The hotel itself is quaint, historic and beautiful. I felt like I was staying somewhere special. However the pillows were hard as were the matressesses (which many on our tour also complained about). In addition, we were provided with a dinner at the hotel. There was no menu we were just given dishes of food with no explanation of what the food was. Unfortunately we were served veal and I (and others in tour group) do not eat veal for ethical reasons (it's extremely cruel) - and there were no alternatives. If there was a menu then we could have chosen suitable dishes. So that was poor in my opinion. So despite the hotel being quaint, I was disappointed in the experience.

The main hotel portion where we stayed was quirky yet adequate. There were a few steps to our room. The hotel has a restaurant with a menu solely in Italian. The restaurant would be wise to translate its dishes into English with proper descriptions so there are no misunderstandings as to what is being served. The Caesar salad looked nothing like any Caesar salad that I have ever seen previously. It had some unrecognizable cured meat in it. Staffing was inadequate and overwhelmed by the number of patrons as the hotel appeared to be fully occupied with most guests wanting to stay for dinner. I only had the delicious ice cream. Others in our group were outraged by what showed up on their orders and communications with staff who had limited patience in understanding English.

This a peaceful haven and absolutely delightful! 4 of us stayed here for 4 nights and thought it was lovely. Yes it’s quirky and no it’s not like the “big” hotels but the rooms were lovely and spacious. The staff were extremely helpful both at the reception and the wonderful breakfast staff! A lovely setting and nice to get away from the business of Venice.
