Hotel Romantik di Venice

The hotel has an excellent location, being at the Pizzalle Roma next to the bus and tram station as well as fronting on the Grand Canal. The view from the roof terrace is stunning. The hotel is very clean and our room was very modern and clean and despite being next to the bus station was quiet and well insulated. The continental breakfast had an extensive choice and was very well prepared and tasty. (Looking out onto the Grand Canal didn't hurt either). However, a word of caution. Upon check- in we were offered a complimentary tour to Murano to see the famous glass making factory. The tour itself is in a vintage motor launch. What they do not tell you is that the tour is one way. You are left on the island to try and find your own way back to the hotel. When we returned and told the manager that this had not been made clear to us, he replied that he had told us it was only one way. The next day we saw another couple of guests getting onto the boat. The staff told me that they too were taking a one way trip. I asked them if the guests knew of this and they shrugged. The guests did not speak English so I could not inform them. Apart from this unfortunate incident we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel.

First time in a Venice, and I stayed for a night with my friend. The location is far from the ferry pier but it is close to the St Marks Square. There is a pizzeria right in front, but we did not try it. The room is spacious and I love the bathroom! Hotel staffs are friendly as well. Didn’t managed to take photos though..

We have just returned from a 2-night stay at this lovely hotel. It is well positioned for all the sights and there is a public water taxi stop next to the front of the hotel. The staff make all the difference. Valentino and another young man, whose name I didn’t get, were on reception for the 2 nights we were there. They didn’t stay behind the desk but came out and circulated and were engaging with all the customers, genuinely interested in what everyone had been doing. As front of house, they were outstanding. We had a side canal view. We paid a premium and being only 5’2” if I leant out, with my husband holding my ankles, I could see the Grand Canal. Not sure I would go for this option again. The room itself was small but very comfortable. We both slept very well. The only ****** was breakfast. I would like this to be self-service. On entering the breakfast room, we were advised that we had to have table service we were automatically given some bread rolls and croissants on the table. I like to have a look and then choose my own size portions, normally small. I observed that several people seemed to want to do self-service, but this wasn’t an option. A lot of rolls and croissants weren’t used as not everyone wanted them and I assume went to the bin. Also I just like to be left to do my own thing at breakfast. Table service for tea and coffee would be good. Unfortunately, this is something that would put me off using the hotel again. The only other small issue for me is the individual shampoo etc in the bathroom. I much prefer refillable dispensers which create far less plastic waste.

The only place we stay when we’re in Venice. Love the history of this hotel. It is perfectly situated. The staff is fantastic and very knowledgeable. We were thrilled to see Stefano again. Room options are excellent and rooms are very comfortable and well fitted. Breakfast in the hotel and evening snacks and wine are an option. Another major factor for us is that they welcome dogs. We travel with our little Maltipoo. He ran circles of happiness in the room when we arrived for his third visit. There were a couple of staff members this visit and they were wonderful and very representative of the hotel brand and hospitality.

We stayed at this hotel end of March 2024 for our anniversary. The hotel was well situated for day excursions to Venice, with its own minibus to the city. The Hotel is beautifully presented with lovely architecture, the room we stayed in was spacious with comfortable bed plenty of room. The bathroom was large with a lovely shower and heated floor. We travelled into Venice during the day and ate at the hotels restaurant the Malipiero in the evenings. The menu was exceptional with fresh bread at the table, welcome glass of prosecco and canapes on arrival. We do eat out alot and i can say after the first night we didnt need to go any further. Fresh seafood and italian meat dishes, we couldnt fault it. The waiters and waitresses were really accomodating and friendy Viorica was one who made us feel so welcome. Breakfast again was superb with fresh coffees and selection of local pastries and meats. All in all I would highly recommend the Hotel and Staff. We stayed early in the season so unable to try the pool.

I had a lovely stay at Ca de la Fonte. My flight was delayed so I didn't manage to check in at the sister hotel until 10pm but there was a lady there waiting for us who took us over to the apartment and showed us how to use the key card. There were a couple of downsides: Unfortunately the first night we couldn't get the air con to work but it turned out the key card just needed removing from the wall and slotting back in again! The mini fridge wasn't cold and when testing the safe it locked and wouldn't reopen (very glad it tested it before putting anything in there..) However the apartment was very comfortable and spacious and the location was perfect. We loved sitting in the courtyard for breakfast each morning and it was a 2 minute stroll to a fruit and veg stall and a Co-Op. The apartment was in a less touristy area so it was lovely passing by the local people on our walks.

Stunning as Venice is, this little gem is just off the Grand Canal two steps away from the San Angelo Water Bus stop. We came to the hotel directly by the Venetian Waterbus from the airport - taking the orange line into the Grand Canal - the only way to arrive in this wonderful city. The hotel is a modern contemporary 4 star with a luxurious feel in decoration throughout the hotel including suite. Our “Supreme” was kindly upgraded to a larger bedroom overlooking a quiet Venetian street. Prosecco on arrival was a lovely touch, and check in with Constanza set the tone for our stay - warm & welcoming. The concierge had recommended our first nights meal - and we were glad we followed up on this as it was superb and only a quick 2 Minute walk away from the Rialto. The hotel itself is very central, San Marco Sq is a ten minute walk away through smaller Piazzas and multiple bridges, and the Rialto Bridge is again 10 minutes from the doors of the hotel. The hotel reception like many in Venice has glass doors that always takes your breath away when you arrive downstairs to see the amazing views of the Grand Canal. Thoroughly recommend this to any couple, young family. Class act.

Hotel is amazingly located between the Rialto Bridge and St Marks, it’s also 4 min walk to the Academia bridge and water bus stop. Staff were very friendly on check in, for breakfast and at the bar. Breakfast is excellent with a wide range of cold and some hot options, defiantly something for everyone. Our room was quite small but when in Venice I wouldn’t expect to be in the room for much more than sleeping!!!

Amazing location, central to all tourist sites and superb shopping all around, unbeatable in all ways. Rooms newly renovated so excellent in room facilities. Pricing was also very reasonable for location. Right beside some of the best views and regardless the room, I’m sure you’ll accept this is the best value hotel in the area. Only disappointment was the bar. Ordered a drink for my wife and I, was charged triple what other exceptional bars outside would charge, the drink looked and tasted like to was made by a child. Quite disappointed with this. Also one needs to really be patient with staff, they seem to be more caught up with talking amongst themselves and their reaction to other guests reflect poor training. Rolling of eyes and other expressions are quite unprofessional. But they don’t ruin the stay, the can’t with such a beautiful location! Bell Boys very helpful and hardworking, maybe the rest of the team should learn from their colleagues. Anyway, I would recommend this hotel anytime to anyone!
