We have just returned from a 2-night stay at this lovely hotel. It is well positioned for all the sights and there is a public water taxi stop next to the front of the hotel. The staff make all the difference. Valentino and another young man, whose name I didn’t get, were on reception for the 2 nights we were there. They didn’t stay behind the desk but came out and circulated and were engaging with all the customers, genuinely interested in what everyone had been doing. As front of house, they were outstanding. We had a side canal view. We paid a premium and being only 5’2” if I leant out, with my husband holding my ankles, I could see the Grand Canal. Not sure I would go for this option again. The room itself was small but very comfortable. We both slept very well. The only ****** was breakfast. I would like this to be self-service. On entering the breakfast room, we were advised that we had to have table service we were automatically given some bread rolls and croissants on the table. I like to have a look and then choose my own size portions, normally small. I observed that several people seemed to want to do self-service, but this wasn’t an option. A lot of rolls and croissants weren’t used as not everyone wanted them and I assume went to the bin. Also I just like to be left to do my own thing at breakfast. Table service for tea and coffee would be good. Unfortunately, this is something that would put me off using the hotel again. The only other small issue for me is the individual shampoo etc in the bathroom. I much prefer refillable dispensers which create far less plastic waste.

The only place we stay when we’re in Venice. Love the history of this hotel. It is perfectly situated. The staff is fantastic and very knowledgeable. We were thrilled to see Stefano again. Room options are excellent and rooms are very comfortable and well fitted. Breakfast in the hotel and evening snacks and wine are an option. Another major factor for us is that they welcome dogs. We travel with our little Maltipoo. He ran circles of happiness in the room when we arrived for his third visit. There were a couple of staff members this visit and they were wonderful and very representative of the hotel brand and hospitality.

The hotel has an excellent location, being at the Pizzalle Roma next to the bus and tram station as well as fronting on the Grand Canal. The view from the roof terrace is stunning. The hotel is very clean and our room was very modern and clean and despite being next to the bus station was quiet and well insulated. The continental breakfast had an extensive choice and was very well prepared and tasty. (Looking out onto the Grand Canal didn't hurt either). However, a word of caution. Upon check- in we were offered a complimentary tour to Murano to see the famous glass making factory. The tour itself is in a vintage motor launch. What they do not tell you is that the tour is one way. You are left on the island to try and find your own way back to the hotel. When we returned and told the manager that this had not been made clear to us, he replied that he had told us it was only one way. The next day we saw another couple of guests getting onto the boat. The staff told me that they too were taking a one way trip. I asked them if the guests knew of this and they shrugged. The guests did not speak English so I could not inform them. Apart from this unfortunate incident we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel.

La limpieza del apartamento en la recepción OK pero mejorable. Ojo, que piden igualmente tasas de limpieza. Los apartamentos están generalmente bien, el problema es la zona donde estan ubicados, no hay mucha seguridad y se respira intranquilidad por la calle. (Problema generalizado en Messe) Si esto no te incomoda, este es un buen sitio debido a su precio economico y la buena conexión que tiene con Venecia a traves del autobus.
