Hotel berhampiran Hundezone Obere Alte Donau, Parkanlage Mühlschüttel, Vienna

We checked in on Wednesday night as a large tour group. The reception was lacking a few chairs but that was understandable since we were a large group. The hotel supervisor whose name which I later found out was Abdul was very rude. He forced our room assignments and made us sign a paper to agree to what he wants. He wanted to separate people from the same family group into different rooms which is not part of the initial agreement. He even went as far as to shout at our poor travel guide in front of other guests! We tried to talk to him calmly but he refused to lower his voice. We let him be after that. Some of the other staff even apologised to us for his behavior. That evening, he even barged into one of the families in our group's (a couple with 2 very young children's) room without knocking just to say to get out and that this as per his words ”was not their room” although he was the one who gave them their keys and wrote their name on the card itself! Almost like breaking and entering using the master key! The guests they double booked into the room even had to apologize to them themselves as it was very intense. We have tried to reach out the manager during our short stay of 2 days. When we finally talked to her, she said that she knows the attitude of her staff and he is not like that and refused to listen to anything we said! She was not there so she could not believe what we were saying. Unbelievable! We were very scared and tired as the whole stay we were scared anybody were to by barged in by that man and shouted at. The 2 kids were very traumatized and could not sleep after that evening. The rest of the hotel was very old and inconvenient to stay in. The bathtub is not suitable for the elderly as it is very narrow and high. And some molds have been growing out of the tiles. The breakfast was ok. But it was a very harrowing trip. Does NOT feel like a 4-star hotel at all. Please avoid this place for your own sakes.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this hotel, and I must say, it exceeded my expectations. The first thing that struck me was the cleanliness of the rooms. Housekeeping did an exceptional job, ensuring that everything was in order and maintaining a high standard of cleanliness throughout my stay. One standout feature of this hotel was the complimentary mini bar. It was a pleasant surprise to find that not only was it stocked with a variety of beverages and snacks, but also that I had the option to customize the items according to my personal preferences. This level of flexibility and attention to guest satisfaction was truly impressive. The service provided by the hotel staff was another highlight of my stay. They were genuinely warm, accommodating, and always ready to assist with any inquiries or requests I had. Breakfast at the hotel was a delightful experience, especially the Austrian breakfast offered. The variety of dishes, including traditional Austrian favorites, was a treat. The quality of the food was excellent, and the attentive staff ensured that everything was replenished promptly. It was a great way to start each day of my stay.

I had a very nice welcome. I was allowed to bring my bike to the room. The room was really spacious and very nice breakfast buffet! Coffee machines were inefficient though :( I appreciated the quite area. Different kind of public transportation is still very close :)

Where to start , well let's start at Check In, we have arrived at the Hotel around mid day which we were lucky to be provided with a room straight away, after taking our way into the room well.. The carpets are horrendously dirty to the point i had a walk around Vienna looking for flip flops just not to step bare feet on the carpet. At this point we have contacted the reception in hopes of getting an upgrade which we were willing to pay but got immediately shut down as they were at full capacity, the shower room was fine big walk in shower fairly modern and clean, big TV although do not be fooled it is not a smart TV if you phone does not have Screen Cast do not forget HDMI cable or you will be stuck watching German TV. The restaurant was only open for Breakfast they do not open for Dinner only upon request and availability, now this was a first for me.. Nevertheless we prefer to eat out always and Vienna has some Fabulous places where you can have a nice Dinner. Be careful as well when you wake up a bit later and have to come down to reception to ask for Housekeeping to come and tend your room as they will leave your room door wide open whilst you are parading around Vienna, this actually happened to us we requested them to go to the room to change the towels and nade our way to the center, once we cane back to the hotel after several hours we found our door wide open left by Housekeeping, next morning we made our way to the reception and made a complain as all our belongings where in the room and they would not take accountability if they were stolen, they only apologized and that was all not a voucher not an upgrade absolutely nothing, if you are looking for a Hotel were they dont care about you no good morning no good evening this is the place for you if not DO NOT STAY HERE. This is for the Doppio Hotel team please dont bother replying to my review and rather look into making changes when providing training to your team, people want to feel welcome and safe when staying abroad and you guys failed at both those points, seek out to Train and Develop your team because there is a long way for you guys to go. Central location attentive stuff Very clean Tasty breakfast, ate also supper which was good and reasonably priced Good music, live shows Unique room design which I liked but might bd a bit uncomfortable. I certainly recommend it

Great location. Literally less than 2 mins walk from the hotel to Wien’s main/central train station. Excellent services and super friendly and helpful staff. Stayed here for three nights and no problems with everything at the hotel.

Hotel is next to the Vienna main station, many restaurants are inside the station so the location is good. But you can hear the noise next to your room easily. Still recommend it

Mixed bag here. The hotel is walking distance to the Stadthalle, our main reason for booking. Lots of transport links around. Many Ubers and bolts, and about 30/40 minutes to the airport via taxi. Room size was adequate, with a mini fridge, which was unplugged with food and drink inside. It didn't really cool well, when we managed to plug it in. The beds were comfy. The room had tea and coffee making facilities, but no milk. Room had electric blinds which were cool, and room was good and dark when the curtains were closed. Breakfast was ok, pretty standard, nothing special. But still good to start the day with. Rooms on the street side are very very noisy. The hotel is near a shopping mall, so deliveries 5am-10am every morning. Vehicles lloading, banging, noise, men shouting, doors slamming etc. But not really the hotel's fault. At night people smoke outside. So you can't really open windows overnight if you want a decent night's sleep. The room got very stuffy and no real aircon. The cleaning staff start very early, around 9am, so again prospect of good sleep is hit and miss, but they are very friendly and polite. Room generally clean, but there were hairs in the sink and shower. Also hairs on the supposedly clean towels. Staff mostly friendly and accommodating. However, the price of drinks seemed to change every round, (normally increasing). There was one member of staff who had the most appalling attitude. On our last night the shower flooded badly, into the hallway of our room. We couldn't shower or use the toilet. We phoned reception. The staff member claimed he didnt understand what bathroom is flooded means. After 5 attempts at explaining. He said he would send a colleague up. Surprise! Surprise! No one came. We needed sleep due to early flight the next day. We went down to reception, we were ignored, treated with contempt, eye rolls, and he told us he couldn't help, he said he was on his own. So sending someone was a LIE!? He was at the bar pouring drinks slowly, while looking at us blankly and rolling his eyes. He demanded we take a seat, no apologies, no offer of a solution. Basically appalling customer service and no communication. He was quick to check in guests that came to reception, inbetween pouring drinks deliberately slowly to avoid us. The only thing he said was he was on his own and there were no spare rooms. Eventually, he came to our room and saw the problem. With a bad attitude he did try to unblock the drain to no avail. We were lucky enough to have him mop up the floor and give us more towels, upon us asking, no offer. The staff in the morning when we checked out were apologetic when we told them, which we appreciated, and did make us nice coffee's to go. Unfortunately it doesn't take the bad taste away, and we had a poor night's sleep as a result of the stress. No one deserves contempt, utter rudeness and unhelpfulness as a paying guest, especially when we should have been resting, ready for flying

the check in system is super terrible. We were waiting outside of the building for more than 1 hour to sort out this weird check-in issue. Because we can't find anywhere shows our room number. Then we called them, they online confirmed our order fisrt. After that we need to check-in online, upload our ID, also selfie, home address and so on. After that we waited agian until they chcked everything and gave us our PIN code of room. Because of this problem, we missed our restaurant and also the later plan. I have to say this check in system is super bad.

Nice, clean hotel with friendly stuff. Breakfast was very good. Rooms are not big but equipped enough for a one night stay. I would not recommend longer stays though as you might lack some more space. The only down side I find the parking price. Too expensive.
