Hotel berhampiran Sangay Bergnebelwald, Zurich

Räume sind nüchtern, aber zweckmässig. Spiegel im Bad war nicht vorhanden. Schlafzimmer und Bett sauber. Eine Skizze wo der Eingang mit dem Schlüssellasten ist, wäre hilfreich. Zimmer war im 2. Stock direkt an der Strasse und relativ laut.

I stayed 3 nights from Friday to Monday . The main purpose of my visit was to visit the Zurich Opera and Theater. Before arrival I informed the hotel about my diet ( gluten-free and cow milk lactose free). I loved having breakfast in the Art deco decorated room, which is a restaurant during the week but closed at weekend. There were a good choice of gluten-free bread available but no yogurt or cheese made of any thing else than cow milk. They didnot care to buy probably be a use at the weekend there are young temporary helpers around. The room had well designed bathroom, but no storage place at all and was too small for staying 3 days. It got very easy messy. I could not really pack out. The old design lamps donot give a good light. The iron I got to iron my Opera dress, was an old small travell iron, where the water splashed out of it under ironing movements all the time. The university district is interesting , but it is on the Zurichberg , and it is a long walk down the hill to the opera Hause at Zurich Sea, you donot want take in your high heels and long dress. A taxi drives cost 20 CHF❣️ I am afraid I cannot recommend the hotel for an Opera trip or for a stay more than 1 night.

Very nicely maintained hotel in a central location in Thun. Recently stayed a couple of nights in this location and found the hotel to be very well maintained, rooms were clean and less than ten minutes walk to the train station. Location made it quick to walk to train/ferry station to take a very enjoyable ferry ride ride on Lake Thun to then enjoy a day in Interlaken and then the train ride back. Staff that we encountered were great and very helpful answering questions. Highly recommend!

This is by far the best hotel we have experienced in Switzerland (among the 3 Star Hotels) The location is great and it is minutes away from Zurich station by foot, which allows me to travel to various location as and when. It is clean and spacious and the initiative to exchange the room cleaning with a free bar drinks (min 3 days stay) is a good initiative to protect the earth ( less energy consumption). Drop key to check out is convenient and fuss free.

Auf keinen Fall würde ich je jemandem dieses Hotel zumuten. Der Preis ist günstig, ja, aber davon sollte man sich nicht locken lassen und lieber ein paar Franken mehr ausgeben. Die Lüftung war so laut dass kein Gespräch mehr geführt werden konnte. An den Wänden waren Blutspuren (????), im WC waren Kotspuren, die Türgriffe wurden wohl noch nie geputzt da sie klebrig und schmutzig waren, es gab keine Handseife, das Bett war kaputt (Kopfteil war tiefer als Fussteil), Nachttische gab es keine und das Bett war wohl nicht frisch bezogen. Der Boden war dreckig und die Haupttür hatte gar kein Schloss sodass jederzeit jeder sich in dem Gebäude aufhalten konnte. Zudem wurde durch die Lüftung ein starker ********geruch und später auch ein starker Zigarrengeruch ins Zimmer geblasen, der den aufdringlichen Thaiessengeruch, der vorgängig im Zimmer herrschte, sogar fast überdeckte. Es gibt kein Personal im Hotel welches man ansprechen kann. Der Lift wirkte nicht sicher, einige Knöpfe schienen nicht zu funktionkeren. Wir haben uns nach kurzem 15 minütigen Aufenthalt dazu entschieden, nicht in diesem Zimmer zu schlafen. Zum Glück ist das auschecken genau so unkompliziert wie das einchecken, sodass wir den Schlüssel einfach nur in die check-out Box werfen konnten und gehen konnten. Dieses ”Hotel” sollte direkt geschlossen werden.

The hotel is near the train station Zurich HB 700 m and the tram station Limmatplatz 4-6 200 m. The surrounding area has restaurants, shops etc. for mostly Indian people. People noisy outside But when he entered the room it was quiet. Small entrance and small hotel name sign. I made a reservation and paid for the hotel 24 days in advance, but did not receive a code from the hotel. Upon arrival at the hotel I can't enter the hotel. No one can help because they have to check in themselves. I had to call to get the password on the phone. The hotel has 1 small fan, but it's a dangerous fan. because there is no grille covering the front propeller.

I have spent 18 days working from JOYN Zurich so think this should be a fairly accurate review of my experience. For context, JOYN is new so may still be working through teething issues, but hopefully this is useful feedback. Pros; - Comfortable, well equipped rooms. I was in one of the largest apartments they offer and it is a good space to spend a lot of time - The kitchenette whilst small is workable and has most of what you'd need - Well located close to the airport and about 25 mins by tram to central Zurich - Nice bathroom and good shower pressure - Gym is good with nice new equipment - Very close to great supermarkets (Coop and Migros next door) - The communal spaces are lovely, including the central courtyard and roof gardens - Strong water pressure from the shower (although the drain didn't seem to be able to cope with the volume of water which meant potential overflowing of the shower unless carefully managed) - The room has a small dishwasher. There were two dishwasher tablets provided and these weren't topped up by the cleaners, meaning you'll need to buy more Unfortunately the cons are pretty significant though, particularly if you want to work from here; Cons - The wifi is atrocious. At best the speeds hover around 1mbps which isn't good enough for stable whatsapp or facetime calls, let alone Teams or Zoom work calls. I thought this may have been my room but is pretty much my experience in all the open spaces including the ground floor communal spaces (see screenshot from Speedtest). This makes it unsuitable for any work. - The cleaning services are a bare minimum. After one week they changed my linen and towels but didn't vacuum, sweep the floor, empty bins or clean the bathroom. After another 7 days they'd hadn't come to clean again and when prompted they said it would be cleaned that day (but it wasn't). On the 8th day I asked and again they promised to have it cleaned. Whilst I wouldn't mind cleaning myself, there is no vacuum cleaner, cleaning cloths or anything else in the room to clean with, so unless you want to buy your own, be prepared for it to get pretty dusty and the bathroom to get dirty. Cleaning also didn't include replacing the kitchen towels so you'll have to wash these yourself if you're staying for an extended period. - Other than the supermarkets nearby there is pretty much nothing else around Perhaps they're not used to guests having longer stays, but with cleaning services like this, it will become pretty horrible unless guests buy the cleaning products and do it themselves.

Good value in a great location. We walked from the train station. Enjoyed an excellent breakfast while watching pedestrians and cyclists making their way to work and school. The beds were comfortable, the shower was hot and strong. The young man who checked us in was 5 star. Definitely recommend.

The location is perfect to move around easily. The staff is unfriendly and unsupportive. We arrived at the hotel around 2pm since the check in time is 3pm and upon approaching the staff at the reception I was told to wait till 3pm. I was accompanied by my pregnant wife despite the fact we waited and in the next few minutes another lady approached the same staff and she very promptly did her check in. The first room we checked the bathroom basin was choked and the TV was not working. It took them 2 hours to decide to change our room. I asked another reception staff member about the nearest ATM location and he replied he just didn't know anything. The services were not up to the standard or a 4 star property

With the stay in a 6-bed dorm room being just an ordinary experience, the best about this place in my opinion are outside the room and specifically the ”wide corridors” nicely spacious to walk around & the ”huge lounge” downstairs with plenty of work-spaces (big tables & chairs all around). And yes, also pretty ”nice & filling” was its buffet-styled breakfast with really a variety of items (actually food available throughout the day with lunch & dinner as well but which you have to pay for unlike the breakfast included with the stay). If coming here from the Zurich Central (HB) Station, there's the train first to Hardbrucke (just one station from HB) followed by the bus to Jugendherberge (about a 15-minute ride and getting off at the station just before its last stop of Morgental). And if going downtown from here to the area with the city's ”main churches” (Fraumunster, Grossmunster & St. Peter's), there's a tram at just about a 5-minute walk ”straight from” the front entrance (and likely at a frequent interval).
